I'm a Brit moving to the States soon and I've used this to learn all the States. Seeing the names on the map has helped me to learn where they are, too :) 5/5

on the auto-verification mode, when a player types "rhode" it considers that complete for Rhode Island. Feature, or bug?

Great game, but what about Canadian provinces and territories, the African continent, and the caribean islands, as well as central america. :)

Good game for non-american just learning state names, but would be better if you clicked on the state then named to learn where they are.
@BillySkins Hi there, here is not about where are the states but being able to list them all with the help of a blank map :) But we are investigating other gameplays.

You need to change the game play so that you have to select a state BEFORE typing its name. I can type a name, and if I have no idea where it is, you fill it in for me. Not a great way to test one's knowledge. This has potential, but it needs a bit of work.
@DragonMage75 Hi there, depends on what knowledge you test. Here is not about where are the states but being able to list them all with the help of a blank map :)

Wish there was a "Hint button" which (on a timer) would display a piece of trivia about a random non-found state. Nothing stating its name, just something that tells a little back story, random facts or something about it to trigger the mind ;)

Also, capitalization seems very arbitrary because a lot of the states I named I didn't capitalize but it still counted. Others wouldn't count unless the word was capitalized. Again, very arbitrary.

Congrats on development. That said, there are numerous identical games who have the edge on you by way of graphics and gameplay (and, unfortunately, "fun"). A bit more research on games in this field would likely have helped your team find a way to make this stand out. Be proud of accomplishing a completed project (sincerely--it's way more than many developers get to), but by way of grading, I can't give this more than 2/5.

Useful! It'd be nice if it had some kind of gameplay, tho, instead of just guessing the names. That'd be really helpful to learning.

Shouldn't it be "name countries". Love this game but spelling them is an even bigger challenge for me than naming them!

This is actually great to learn the states, especially when you're european. This might as well help me learn them all in a short while. 5/5 would learn geography again.

for those who are havin' trouble, we don't pronounce it this way but its actually spelled connecticut. im not sure why the extra C is there when no one pronounces it by there you go

How I remember them: Potatoes. Mormons. Cows. Old people. Hoosiers. Rednecks. People with no teeth. Where they Film Alaska State Troopers. Surfer Dudes. Cowboys. And so on and so on.

I know a song... the lyrics are the 50 states of the USA alphabetically. So this was easy for me ;) I don't think I'll be so successful with other continents :o

Please please please make a quiz of Africa!!! I love this game and now I get 50/50 of America. I have played it at least 8 times and I learned a lot.

Fifty nifty United States from thirteen original colonies / Fifty nifty stars in the flag that billows so beautifully in the breeze... (continues singing a fast forward version)

definitely agree that it would be much more challenging to display a random state and ask for the correct name. But i love the thought of so many banging their heads on desks because it asks them to SPELL something ROFL. Even with a built in spell-check some of these comments are atrocious.

I would like a mode where a random state is highlighted, and the player has to name it correctly. After 3 or so tries, if the player remains incorrect, the game moves to another random state.
