Some people seemed to be having a hard time with level seven and had given up, but those people would have never made it past level 12 anyway.

Sorry, the final boss was too boring to bother with. Games that establish one full set of play rules and then have a final boss that dicks them all are just tedious.

The pause-movement mechanic is really fun and challenging. I enjoyed the whole game up until the boss. I beat the first two parts of the boss, but got bored when I realized the final stage was just a time survival. Great overall though!

No level select, short & timed levels, not intuitive new mechanics. Meh. Only thing going for this game is cool 8-bit retro music, graphics, and the lame screen static effect.

This type of game is really not for me, because it makes me way too anxious. However, that's my own problem. The game (as far as I could get) is fantastic. The level design and music are wonderful, and the concept is very origial. Good job!

i searched in the web the meaning of "NIHIL" it stands for "Nothingness,nothing,null,negative indefinite / neutral indefinite" so the dialogue when finding Nihil is "Welcome to Nothingness"

As for me one of the best games I've played here on Kongregate and the music is absolutely GORGEOUS - I gotta put this one somewhere between Skullface and Legend of Kalevala and this is really a big thing to say. Gameplay itself is very fluent and interesting, the game requires you to develop a certain skillcap in order to proceed and the boss fight is awesome - easy enough to be able to beat it but hard enough to get the feeling of an achievement. Great work, 5/5 and favorited.

Ending reminds me of the Shakespeare quote:
"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,"

Truly an amazing game, clever and unique. 5/5 but occasionally it's frustrating to not have checkpoints when the first part of a level is hard, you finally pass it, then screw up later and have to spend another 20 deaths doing it again.

OH MY GOSH you are a monster for making this video game. It took all my patience and skill to beat this game... but I applaud it as well. great game sir

On level 13, make the Thwomp crush the floor twice. A door will appear where the face was. there is a Secret 2 where everyone is looking for =)

Actually, I didn't find the boss that hard... Died about 17 times on my first try and when I replayed it I completed the boss without dying once...but I found some of the levels really hard on both of my tries (levels 16, 17, and/or 18... during one on my first try I died about 97 times...)

Welp, the cave story/t.w.e.w.y. references probably help me avoid a rage quit in the secret HELLZONE. aside from that, I actually think not being able to use a lvl select gave me much needed practice for the alternate ending.
