Ok, King of Hell achieved. If you don't get it you're a sissy.
@rejuvenation Similar to how the game is presented, if you click the bottom of the "TV" there's a volume slider. You're welcome for giving a great game 1/5 undeservedly.

which makes a lot sense. you have to watch out for what you did in the past and make sure it doesn't mess up your future. and if you do nothing for too long your past catches up with you. plus Life(the boss) doesn't give you any time to think too ahead of time.

I'm ambivalent about this game and really don't know what to rate this it. It's really fun, but the exactness needed to complete the puzzles is extreme to the point of being frustrating.

the end is way too hard compared to the rest of the game. scale it down a bit or let us restart after completing each phase.

Nice concept! Took me a while for the boss, but once I truly paused (esc) the game and just took a deep breath and started the game again, it only took 45 more deaths to figure it out! Hehe

I rage quit on level 6. In concept, this is a very nifty puzzle game. In practice, I found it too frustrating to warrant continuing.

One of the most innovative mechanics for a puzzle game I've seen in a long, long while. My ability to progress past stage 17 is limited by my double-tap pause reflex and that's about as far as I'll ever get, but I very much admire what this game stands for and wish the more hardcore amongst us to see it to the end.

I loved this game it's so awesome so creative and just plan awesome and the music I think the best music in games has been done by square enix but now I'm questioning that in other words MAKE MORE GAMES PLEASE!

im sorry but you did a terrible job at the challenge part. i loved the game up to level seven. i spent a good while on it, but i eventually got past it. then i got to stage 9, where i died 56 times. literally. then i just rage quit.
all in all good concept but bring the toughness down. 3/5

If i can say anything, its that the little sayings during the puase annoy me, alot, lol raging at game and then seeing the sarcasm,

Why mention sticky Keys since one just deactivates it? Or if you cant, just use C instead of shift as advised ingame.

SPOILER. Some hints on the incredibly hard secrets, so you can still figure them out on your own: 061319. There are fake spikes on the far left sides of two of those, and a glowing statue in another. Then [Please] don't go to the end level of the game. Another excellent game, Askiisoft. Thank you for making puzzle platformers with heart. This sentence is here to end in the word SPOILER.

A unique concept!!!111 Obviously lots of thought put into the original concept and level design. Keeps the player interested with detailed stats, a story line, and even a speedrun option! Great art and awesome music too.

I think it might be helpful to add some sort of quality select. Taking off the overlay helps a lot with those of us that have lower end computers, but it still lags a lot and the pause can take a second to take effect a lot, making timed pauses very difficult. But a wonderful concept none the less!

Hint: To change direction in pause mode almost instantaneously, press and hold the direction you want to move, and press Shift and C simultaneously.

One of the best platform games I've ever played. 5/5. Loved the music, and the endings were very neat. The boss fight, while challenging, was very fun, and the secret level Nihil was one of the toughest challenges I've ever completed in a flash game.

Also: going to point something out to people: this isn't a unique concept, using the pause function as a core gameplay element has been done before. Many times in fact.

Major sound glitch: when you die on a spike and run out of time at the same time then the sound glitches out and gets super loud and sounds like horrendous static.

That boss was really cool! The most stressful part was not walking in the same pattern over and over because my shadow would take that path too XD You know you've done well when a player is more challenged by themselves than they are to dodge fireballs!
