My bulders arent currently bulding bridges or stairs, i have all the materials needed, tools, briks, houses in range of site etc but they just refuse to build those two things? How can I fix it?

Great game... though I would stand in line with the pro tutorial crowd. Also, I'd love a production overview somewhere (statistic of goods per minute/hour or so).

I think at the beginning it would be a little easier to have a small tutorial, or have the help tell you what buttons do. Granted, that might just because the 2 of my 3 braincells are on vacation, and the other one just re-existed a week ago.

At least be honest and don't imply you that it's just one browser you don't support. It only support Chromium based browsers and nothing else (I tried both Firefox and Safari and it refused to run in either one). Shame, 1 star for contributing to the monoculture of web browser engines we're heading to again (it was terrible when it was IE, let's not try a de facto rendering engine monopoly again).
I will do my best to explain the reasoning behind browser support decisions. Unfortunately there is massive difference on javascript and canvas performance on chromium VS firefox/safari. I hope they improve their engines. To be clear though, this performance difference has no impact on everyday browsing, but does have effect when things get bigger. (assumption: for a javascript based game that runs in the browser, no plugins). I am sad you feel this way that solo hobby game developers are to be blamed on browsers just being behind. It is like I should not buy the fastest car, because otherwise there will be a monopoly. This is for the browser businesses to fix. I will continously test newer versions of firefox and safari though to see if things have improved and take this into account when developing next games. I discovered firefox/safari issue quite late in the project.

I really messed that up. I tried replacing all of my roads at once with stone roads and the next thing I knew there were only 30 people left alive. Managed to salvage it but lost quite a bit of progress. Oops.

While I am enjoying this game, is it possible to color code the skeletons so we can see how they died? For instance, the normal, white skeleton could be for old age, but starvation could be red, dehydration could be blue, and black could be from exhaustion. It'd make it a little easier to see where I'm failing my people.

Ok I don't know what the expansion office is doing, I have shipped everything except for water, I only need 20 more water, that expansion office has stored 19 out of 20 water and it's refusing to take more, even if there's a FULL water source next to it, and ships waiting for shipping with enough workers, idk what to do I think it's glitched.

Is anyone having issue using the Archimedes Screw pipes?
My factory is made, pipes produced, water pump made... How do i get the water to the buildings now? I've placed the Water Pipes but they don't seem to be working.
Please tell me more - you mean on research papers? As I am somewhat blind to things that are "confusing", it would really help if you would say "what information?"

@willwardley, the expansion office only takes resources if the farm has 33%+ capacity filled with berries, so try to reduce the number of berry farms to increase their efficiency so that they will fill to max capacity and it will be shipped.

The game is a lot better than you imagine by reading Idle in its name! It's more like a State of Survival. Of course with worse graphics, but that doesn't bother playing in the long run. Also without clans, wars and so on which is exactly what some are looking for. Great job! One of the best games on Kong for me.

OK, any advice/tips? I have expansion offices and colonies with all resources shipped except berries. I have large berry farms next to all the expansio offices, but they just won't move them there. Every other resource is completed now, but this is holding it back. Surely I don't just need to demolish every house and food market nearby to try to force the output somewhere?

i figured out that you can sort of increase your max research by building multiple research buildings...IF you have enough people to operate them all.
you would need FOUR to get enough points to PROPERLY increase your max!

i have not figured out how to increase max research point things... currently stuck because i cant upgrade or research anything because i dont have a high enough max... but otherwise... i love it so far

How do you raise the max amount of research papers (or whatever its called)? I'm at 25/25 for all 3 types, but all the research options left need 50 or even more per type.
yeah, there are tabs on upgrades menu. Could it be it?
But there is no "advanced bread production currently, except horse mill which is huge buff to mills

Thanks for the tip on libraries! I thought I had tried that in the past and they didn't use them but they certainly use them now! Quick question: is it intentional that Construction Markets don't take Iron or Bronze? If so, why? Could you put a different Market into the game if that's really how you want things to be? It's making it kind of obnoxious to make Pipes when my Bronze Smelters have to be so close to my Mining Offices and my Pipe Factory has to be close to my Smelters.

Okay, I do have some critiques. It's difficult to understand how to use markets and farming resources are very difficult to acquire in most parts of the world. It takes an eternity to get rocks over to the third island because there's no rocky ground I have to put rock farms on. To have such limited placement is very frustrating, and while I understand it might not work with the aesthetic angle going on, too much space isn't utilized causing frustration when I need to erase and rebuild things because I have to move them.
Also, I think I should be able to build on the beach. It's a waste of space!
Final thought: funny as they are, the beer pipes are dumb. I'm sorry lol.

Where is all the information I need? I don't know how much wood I have, how much food or water, how much the people require. I have no information to go on.
Am I wasting wood when I build over trees and they disappear? Is there no way for me to order people to chop down certain trees?

farms and water collectors need to be close to houses, or the people will stave. (at least early on)

On second thought, it seems like markets do get water from water pipes. It seems like it's harder to see because depending on where they are, they can handle a lot of water, so they probably need to be both pretty active and pretty close to the pump.

Water pipes work for houses because I can see the water level is constantly being topped off. I don't think water pipes work for food markets.

idea is interesting, but the gameplay is not user friendly, i have to move things around many time, because most of the place has no access to material needed, and the stocked material has to be kept at the place where they were produced. unlike the research scrolls, , i can not use my resourses anywhere.
if it is more like age of empires, where i can use the material anywhere, it would be better, otherwise, i need an easier pop-up or a smarter AI to get the efficiency problem to solve, coz the requirements about what building needs what building and resourses near it is not that simple(again, unless the resourses can be use anywhere)

Does sending water pipes to animal barns work? Since the input and output icons are now hidden below the bottom of the page, I can't tell if water is actually being piped there.

HUGE UPDATE
+ PIPES! here they are - long promised pipes! Now all liquids in the game can be transported via pipes if you have researched it! Very convenient way to move resources around!
Other updates
+ Fixed issues with saving big save files to cloud (for populations more than >6000)
+ bridges now tell nicely if they don't have road connection (bridge can only connect straight, sides can't and it sometimes caused issues with not knowing why bridge does not build.)
+ panels that have "submenu" like upgrades and settings will animate buttons, so they would be more noticeable.
+ third party cookie test. Game can't played on some sites if third party cookies are disabled. Now a nice message is shown.
+ BUGFIX - when moving a building, it does not reset job priority. Sets it correctly now.
+ BUGFIX - when moving animal farm, it does not reset number of animals. Sets it correctly now.
