@TransGirl sure, you can reduce your population to 0, once you get employment control, set max farm workers to 0%, also be sure to not have picked up any food from the west. I dont think theres any kind of game over though

@HekiShavik having your unempolyed workers start working in areas which are set below 100% could be troublesome, for one, if you have medicine it makes your population go crazy so if you don't want to produce medicine you could set that to 0%, but if you had the overflow that wouldn't stop medicine production
also you could be sending troops to attack a very week country, and not wanting to bring a bunch of weapons you set max barracks employment to 1%, then if it had overflow you could have 100x the weapons taken for no reason

that's what I call effects of a great war reduced population to 25% of it's former state ouch xd
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@TransGirl No, you will always have at least 1,000 people, no matter what you do. You can kill off a third of those through war, but they will just "respawn" and you will be back to 1,000 people after a heartbeat.

After playing for a while, I must say I over reacted quite a bit. I do however still want my unemployed population to overflow from the top down into the work areas which isn't set to 100%. That would be very nice.

I just bought the worker distribution upgrade and I find it very useless to say the least. What good is it that I can change the % to overflow workers into my wood cutters when the eventual excess workforce doesn't fill the work stations of the areas with less than 100%?

it would be nice if you could ban people from buying things (like ban people from buying tools so that you can get enough tools to build stuff)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i kept a steady population up to about 2 million, then it yoyo'd way out of control. now when pop is up, they consume so much food, i need so much wood for farms, no other field has any employment, and when i run out of tools, everything crashes down. i probably shuld have had more research center, which was still at lvl 4.

in the "How people populate" area, it says, children(under 16) don't make MANY babies. does this mean that if a couple just gave birth to a baby, taht baby COULD make another baby.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I know this is an "old" game so it prolly wont happen, however it would be nice if the side bar with your inventory and population stats scrolled with you... so that when you scroll down on say the war or research page you could still see all your stats

I would have a suggestion, either:
a) when buying a building keep the workers in the other buildings at the same amount (and the new building fills up with new workers);
or
b) as "Pizza Guy! on the 20/09/2016 said: let us know how many workers the new building will take.
The first situation will create a need for workers which will get employed immediately and will be very efficient;
The second situation will allow us to stock the amount of unemployed required to not disrupt the work from other buildings.
The objective of maintaining the buildings at full performance will be higher with the first option, with the second option it would be just a more favourable situation than the current one.

When you hover over the word BUY when you are going to buy a building it should tell you how many max workers it is going to add. Just an idea because I am not very far into the game yet and if I buy too many I get screwed. I know I could just distribute less workers to food and more to other things to even it out but still it would be a nice feature to see exactly how many it adds :P

Look people. You don't have enough food yet you're still reproducing so much? When will these people learn abstinence?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ummmmmm... Why did my food just drop...? i was making +3480 and it just suddenly dropped from 40K+ to just under 10K... Why?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Medicine should make it so your people work for longer or something. Like, at full medicine, people work until they're 70.

Good game. Would be nice if when you press a button to buy multiple of a building, the price would show the total cost of the purchase.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
so... if you spend genes on consumer, does the increased amount of purchases of cars and tools increase the production of food and lumber? likewise for sicker and increasing lifespan due to more medicine being purchased?

hmm... i managed my world for about 2010 years now and my people make about 100 euros a year now.... i dont know i feel like it aint good that 7500 people earn as much in a year as i do in less then a week...
