Best and worst weapons (first is best, then after that are the worst):
Square - Basically anything - no worst weapon, they are pretty easy
Diamond - Auto lazer - pistol (bad bullet count), smg (bad aim), sniper ( 2nd enemy comes out, 1 bullet)
Triangle - Plasma Cannon, Sniper: 1 shot kills are best - pistol (low damage)
Circle - Sniper, machine gun: they will actually hit it - DO NOT USE PLASMA CANNON: TOO SLOW FOR AIM.
The ones not mentioned are pretty average. I have not yet gotten the vulcan, but i assume it pwns all. Trust me, they work like this. If there are other strategies, please post them and send them to me. If anyone knows a good way to use plasma against circles, also post or send. And can someone please tell me how to work autofire, it won't work for me!!! I don't know what it does!!!! Hope I helped!!!!

first time playing= 109,914,144... that being said I feel that it was too easy. Also at times Im not sure if it was how the game was programmed but the delay on the aim felt lagged.

Boffo gives Phooltk's comments 5/5. The game itself is promising (music mute please) but too easy. Phooltk's said where it can be improved already. 3/5

had to play to 28 just to see what everyone was complaining about. use the plasma cannon, easy. just spray up and down and you stop most or all of it. It shoots as fast as you click, at least for me.

A halfhearted effort to add textual story to the game would provide a framework for warning players of surprises like level 25 and 28, and therefore allow more such 'surprises' - read, some actual variety - to be reasonably added as they can be planned for. Granting players the different weapons for free every few levels and decreasing reload time, with more focus on some weapons being better for some enemies, would add some much needed depth to the game.

eh, sniper's actually good for stars too, just need to pump ap a bit higher. AP more important than damage multiplier past around x5 damage mostly. Combine that with the negligible impact of very early game to score (uncapped score multiplier should never have been added, bosses can be farmed indefinitely) which can be milked for more multiplier with other weapons and sniper's pretty much the best way to go through the game... shame that about 30 of the 40 levels are basically repetitive game length padding and can be snipered through without more than 2 enemies ever being on the screen.

strategy (normal)
early as possible get sniper. upgrade reload til it's costing about 12k. Get autolaser for wave 15. Pump damage to about 1.8x for wave 17 (on this wave use sniper for greens and autolaser for else). While getting a little interest and saving cash generally. After level 18 go back to fulltime sniper til level 28... very boring but most effective. Buy about level 4 armour piercing for level 25. For level 28 spend the >1 mill cash you should have saved up, I had about >500 max hp, 5 damage multiplier, maxed reload, 7 ap level, max regeneration, 13% interest. It's autolaser as main weapon from now on, easier for grey stars, Just get enough damage boost on it to take bullets out in 2 hits and coast through til level 35, where you go back to sniper and, except for level 39, use it for the rest of the game.
The superior strategy though is not to waste your time on this one, game has very weak gameplay and is all about hitting on the right upgrade strategy.

hunter1: The white stars have very little health, but a lot of armor. Thus, since each armor point reduces damage dealt by 30-100% randomly, it's really hit and miss to see whether it gets damaged a lot, a little, or almost none at all. This is to encourage buying of armor-piercing bullets, since if you end up rolling 5 30% damage reductions due to 5 points of enemy armor, you end up dealing 0.2% damage, while if you get lucky and roll 5 98%s or something like that, even with 5 armor points you'll still deal 90% damage or so.

the auto turret is definitely too weak and slow... i accidentally upgraded accuracy with vulcan thinking it wouldnt do much, and BAM lvl 28 suprised me

NEEDS A MUTE BUTTON! I'm using Skype to make a call, and waiting talk to someone. I can't play this game because I can't turn the sound off.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The levels are unbalanced and the progression is a bit strange but generally speaking its pretty easy if you upgrade correctly. just buy the auto laser asap and buy interest after that until level 25 or so when you simply pump a little bit of cash into armor piercing and multiplier. For people whining about the bullet ones.. just use the plasma gun (its actually much better for those levels)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
if you buy the vulcan minigun, don't upgrade accuracy; you will need the spread of the bullets to kill multiple enemies all around the screen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bought the autolaser early and raped absolutely everything until level 40. I had no chance against the boss and died pretty much instantly. Now I have to start from level 1, which is a massive waste of time. 3/5 for the ridiculous difficulty ramp in between long stretches of boring.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
L4m3ness: Try changing your upgrade path, and you should be able to pass 28 on hard without a problem. I have always gone with the minigun and save up a lot on money before wave 28 (to get the 10-15% interest each level). You should be able to have around $1,000,000 by then without having trouble on the earlier levels by not spending all your money. Don't forget to spend some of that increasing your max hp before the bullets.

on the win page, the sentence saying you have succesfully defended blah blah blah gets cut off at "defended th" fun last boss battle thx for making the game, its been fun and time consuming :D

Well, I've continued playing and wanted to see all levels... and now back to the bullet hell (wave 28). Seriously, ~100 bullets which take 4 autolaserhits each (=almost the whole autolaser clip) and multiple spawning at the same time, moving with the speed of light to your tower (difficulty: impossible)? And when you gotta reload, then you get hit by 4-5 of them, 20 dmg each? You must be kidding. Even placing 280k in damage&piercing upgrades didn't help against them, only slowing down the game. You seriously need to rebalance this wave, because at normal speed it's unbeatable and unfair.
Then, though, till wave 35 it's all piece of cake again, even without buying a single upgrade! Then 3 bosses + bullets come at the same time, another nice joke, but beatable. And then wave 36, 2 bosses, no bullets - wait, what? Did you turn something around here?
Gah.. so all in all: too long, too much repetition, no bosses in early game and unfair waves in between easy ones. But 3/5 stays
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Was fun but real repetitve after level 40. The minigun is worthless compared to the auto laser. The auto turrets are too slow and weak even after upgrading them numerous times

The game frequently loads in the ad-banner instead in the game screen. Also your savegame deleting is futile, since people who know how (and I'm sure pretty much do know) can simply copy the savegame and reuse it :P Look at test and test2 at impossible :P So all in all the deleting punishs the player more than helping to keep the mochi (!) highscores clean. There isn't a big problem with the kong highscores though, because there is only one highscore per account. If you want to keep the kong scores clean of people who give others their savegame, try placing the account name (encoded!) via api into the savegame and check it when submitting.

Oh, a few more options for neonium 2: What about some more focus on weapons being useful on some enemies and less on others? Such as enemies that have strong (shield)regeneration, thus a mg is bad against them but a sniper weapon (1 hit, high damage) kills them easily - would require a lower delay when changing weapons though, or a two weapon system (main- and sidearm) (where the player defines main-/sidearms, but can only switch through one of the groups seperately). Would be nicer than the bullethappy vulcan minigun that everyone has :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, and the bullets from the level before could be removed when you enter in the buy menu, because otherwise the lag will continue there. Also the in level money display updates a bit slow right after you left the buy menu (the old value is still displayed for 1-2 seconds and fades)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
well, on hard it's starts pretty hard and then becomes quite easy.. and then you meet stuff like the bullet storm which kills you unless you reload page&load
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hum.. after loading and buying some upgrades (such as reloading to ~0.35, health 2, some healthupgrades) my bullets didnt fly (minigun).. they just got stuck at my tower.. and since the savegame was gone now, I've to start over again, gah? >>
The game starts pretty nice, but then gets rather slow and repetitive, especially due to the lagcan minigun which really slows the gameplay down (even with low quality and no particles)
4/5 -1

I played through again on normal, and the end screen appears now, but the number submitted is 41 after completing the 40th wave. Not sure if this is supposed to be as before 39 was submitted. You have something against the number 40?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Same with McCoyevp... My game was never recorded except unlike him I killed the last boss on level 40.. It made me submit to somewhere else.. But never recorded my info here.. No idea why..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh dear, sorry McCoyEVP. I've accidentally shifted ONE frame over, and thus it was a glitch and you didn't get your earned win. I'm fixing it now, really sorry for the inconvenience.

Nice game, simple and fun. I don't know if I beat it on easy or what though. On wave 40 I think I killed the octagon thing (had like 200+ hp and it was just about dead), then POOF! instant game over screen at wave 40 (only recored 39 in the high score). So I don't know if I killed it and there is no 'You Won!' screen or if that boss thing has like a 1-hit kill attack that got me or something....

Great game. You could add SOOO much. Seeing your extra turret. Controlling the extra turret. Adding the turrets on multiple sides (top and bottom). Diversity of enemies. Lots of potential. And it already looks pretty. (Half the battle imho). 5 baby!
