This is probably one of the few Kongregate MMOs I may stay beyond the badge for. Not once have I seen a popup begging me to buy servants and it seems perfectly playable with or without servant purchases. Of course I'll have to reserve judgement until later on whether or not this is just the usual p2w mmo trash, but so far at least it actually seems okay.
This is a cookie issue. We aren't sure what causes it yet, but the solution is to delete ALL realm of empires cookies, restart your browser, and try again. OR, just try using a different browser. If you would like more detailed instructions you can email support@realmofempires.com

Follow top comment for medium badge. 15 HQ, 20 Mine, 5 Tavern. Then a upgrade the fastest ending building. Remember t bother attacking other bases it is pointless you get enough silver from quests. Remember to get 5 researchers and focus on HQ 1st until you reach the 6hr ones then go silver mine although not really required.

Half the chat involved players who couldn't wait til they reached 1000 player points in order to exit. Check the amount of player towns stuck at just over a thousand points. Mine is now of those towns. 1.5/5 I guess it would be a good game if you are simple-minded and like rewards spoon fed to you like pablum to a baby.

Stupid game is stuck on the last tutorial(Click on Quest) and will not let me close it or click on quest or anything else
If you start the tutorial after the beginning, there are a few things that can go wrong. The most common is having a queue of buildings already going when you hit the Silver Mine upgrade part. If you cancel all the other buildings and start the tutorial, it should work fine. :)

Not sure why knewred is getting downvoted for talking about Kong and money. A. If they did get paid for badges, good. Someone has to pay the bills to keep t he servers up. Contrary to popular belief, the internet is not free. B. The api to build badges isn't exactly a secret. Stop whining, build your own game and do it. Or just read. It isn't rocket science. Overall I'd say this is one of the best MMO badge setups so far. You don't have to grind for months if all you want is a badge. Just have fun, play some games and stop worrying about it.

Seems weird no one has mentioned, this game is a buffed up flash version of a game called Tribal Wars. Not a clone and very well made though :) 4/5

@Balbanes I think Kongregate doesn't get paid for adding badges, though I don't know for certain- I'd need someone more credible to back me up. As far as I'm aware Kongregate badges games a lot of people play or are highly rated, and copy-paste MMOs have a large enough userbase for them to meet those criteria. Kongregate does need money to stay afloat but I've never heard any (reliable) account of them taking money for badges thus far.

I am having huge lag when trying to research. This is my 3rd day playing, on the first day I didn't have any problem, day 2 and day 3 I almost haven't been able to do anything. I'm using Firefox 46.0.1 on Ubuntu 16.04
Our first suggestion is to try the Chrome browser. It is usually the fastest browser for our game by a wide margin. If that doesn't work, you can contact support@realmofempires.com for more direct assistance.

i feel more tolerant towards this game than most of the other badged pay2win games, because you can get the badges while in protection and can leave before you get stomped into the ground. i consider that a huge step forward. thanks, kong

on level 8 and now i have to wait for hours and days to play. it's not a game if you can't play it! pay to play with a hook "there is something coming, be ready." nope, i'll be long gone.

I really enjoy the pace of this game. I feel as if I'm actually progressing, and not just waiting around for buildings to upgrade constantly. I also really like how building speed increases based on research. I think some more troops should be added though. Infantry is really general.

Small question here:
Is there a way of knowing what each research does in more detail?
For exemple, the "Optics" research, the second of the unlock spy branch does not have any clear description of what it does.

The research techs for unlocking units are only good for one thing: unlocking your ability to recruit those units. You must finish the entire chain before you are able to recruit spies. Hope that helps!

My Building lvls that got me to exactly 1236 player pts: lvl 20 Silver Mines/Farm Lands, lvl 15 HQ/Treasury, lvl 1 Trading Post/Hiding Spot, lvl 7 Barracks, lvl 5 Tavern/Towers, lvl 3 Walls.
For Reasearch: First 3 Columns in HQ with 4th column still being researched, First 5 Columns in Silver Mines and half of 6, First 4 columns in Treasury with half of column 5.

Please refrain from flagging every mmo you see. We're getting shitloads of crap, but sometimes they're actually nice. This one is pretty fine and doesn't rely heavily on cashcow principles.

Badgehunter speedrun: Activate the free Elven spell (25% income bonus) as soon as you can, and keep it active. You'll find it in the REWARDS button at bottom center. Follow QUESTS for silver, MASTERY/GENIUS quests too, there will be a mission to join a guild which unlocks quiz-missions for lots of fast silver. Build headquarters to level 15 and mine to level 20. Spend Servants to get max researchers, focus research on headquarters and mines. Government: Monarchy for build rate. When TAVERN is available to build, that is your big source for points: 311 points for level 4 or 607 points for level 5. Spend Servants to speed any long build times.
Click red caravans on map for free goodies. Activate Bloodlust&Rush spells before attacking. Attack Rebels with Cavalry-only groups, each 20+ Cavalry is one battle group. (Research Horseback Riding unlock may be needed?) If you don't have a 20+ Cav group yet, attack with every unit.

Fastest way to get the medium badge is to quest, get silver mine to 15-20 then HQ to 15, and then spend all your servants on silver and queue as much as possible. Leave game, come back a day later when queue is done and you have the badge.

Previous post looks cut in the middle. 2) was to follow tutorial until you get around 500pts, and keep focusing on research that helps building money (mine) and speed (HQ) exclusively.

For badge hunters: 1) get 5 researchers and focus on treasury initially (you have too much silver), then HQ and silver mine (critical after the first hour or 2). Get all t help buildings (money and speed). 3) After 500 pts, be tactical & focus on high points / silver cost ratio. For example, HQ & mine are very expensive but each upgrade bring few points. But tavern costs only 40k silver to get to lvl 4, which brings 311 pts. Farm is also pretty good. Defense tower brings 181 pts for 50k.
