The developer says that shoes and grenades go to the point the cursor was at when you threw the shoe/grenade. I am not experiencing that in my game play. The shoe definitely just goes to the nearest enemy.

Cant see what the "Unprincipled" achievement needs to unlock. All i can see is "Kill 10 enemy soldiers with the". I don't know what to kill them with
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
3/5. Good theme and design, but have serious balancing issues.
Harder enemies don't give more incentive for killing. Why would I kill an agent who ignored barricade when killing a soldier would give me the same coin and one saved barrel?
Also, saving a barrel causes more trouble than it is worth. If your aim of the game is to save barrels, then saving them should yield more coins than now. (Suggestion: 5 per saved barrel with no minimum) End-of-round reward (which should be increasing after every round, too) should be credited immediately, not scattered on the ground. Makes no sense.
If you want this to be a hardcore game of ammo conservation, ammo should be more expensive but drop from kills more often. This will shift focus of general money-earning skills to killing instead.
Finally, challenge != frustration. This is not '90s anymore (when game frustration like pixel-perfect jumping was the norm)

Have the aiming issues that are being complained about been fixed? Or is it just that they have no sense of anticipation?

Americans go to someone else's country, blow stuff up, and kill people, but they sure get offended if someone makes the slightest implication that the people of those countries have the right to defend themselves.

Awesome game. As has been said before the aiming needs some fixing. Also I'd like to see an easier mode where I can keep my coins after losing a days fight or even be able to replay the previous stages for an easier grind. Overall still a kick ass game 5/5.

Sorry, you make me work too hard for every coin, of which there aren't enough of for even the earliest upgrades. Having to mouse over to pick them up just makes it all the more frustrating. It's a shame, because it could be a fun game if you'd just let me enjoy it for a while before making me work. 3/5

funny how the oil man with just a shoe and oil, was forced into being extremely violent with guns and bombs...heh....

BePlayedCom stated, "We made the game as a satirical title, so people who are concerned about politics and tensions between countries could view it from a funny side, even if for a brief time.
We thought it would be humorous to turn usual “bad guys, good guys” thing upside down and provide players with opportunity to be in shoes (heh :)) of Arabic people.
No offence was intended, no specific country was pictured, just abstract NATO soldiers as adversaries." I'll graciously accept this explanation and improve my vote.

Respect where respect is due, TrinketMage. Besides, suggesting that our soldiers (of which I am one, by the way) go after other countries to steal their oil and that these scumbags whose face we kick in are actually peaceful people is... Laughable at best, slanderous and disrespectful at worst. The question is, which one is it here?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
theres a glitch where if you time your pressing of the button 1, you can throw a continuous stream of shoes, not sure if you wanted to fix that at all but i'm enjoying it lol, also if you switch weapons you can spam their bullets without waiting for the weapon to "cool down" if you press constantly switch inbetween two different weapons you'll spam them like the shoes

1. I thought the aiming being off was intentional game design. Fighting armies off with shoes is supposed to be a challenge. 2. If any yank complains about how it's disrespectful consider how Middle Easterners are portrayed in most American games. 3. The hard rock soundtrack doesn't fit at all.

i thought this game was really difficult, than i tried thinking like an american, so i restarted, invested all my money in guns and now it's piss easy.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like how all the comments either decrying the game in general or because it's disrespectful to Americans and/or in poor taste get down-voted and hidden. How dare anyone find this game distasteful or abnoxious!
Yes, that was sarcasm.
I also find it interesting that the author, probably knowing how controversial it could be, hasn't mentioned a single thing about the content.

First upgrade your shoe to the max. Period. THEN buy AK -> Grenade -> Sniper THEN max upgrade AK -> Grenade -> Sniper THEN buy all the special weapons THEN buy the defenses == game pwnd. Don't bother with lost barrels (bonus for keeping them is next to nothing), don't bother with buying ammo in the first ~20 days as it's too costly, use your shoe as your main weapon, switch to AK/Sniper when single heavy enemies appear, and throw grenades vs enemy masses. Grindy, yeah, but still quite easy. To game developer: it's very easy to get off-screen while clicking on escaping enemies, which results in the tedious animation of pause screen. Either disable this effect OR enable auto-resume on mouseEntered OR lock the cursor OR make the pause instant. Autofire option for The Shoe would be very nice too, I don't consider getting joint pains from Flash games my ultimate goal in life. Increasing bonus for saved barrels in exponential fashion would make the less more fun and less grindy. Cheers.
Thanks for bringing pause issue into the light.
As for autofire, just hold mouse button, the protagonist will continuously throw shoes/fire bullets.
*Edited*: uploaded the new version that does not pause if you click off screen.

1/5 bad enough I have to watch kongs adds, now developers are putting adds in that I can't even skip? Bad form, very bad form

This game is obviously made in disrespect to America. Read the description, and look at how they are taking oil. Look how the soldiers and other men taking the oil look....

Aiming works well for this sort of game. Adds a bit of skill to it. Coin and ammo drops need to be increased. By day 18 I would burn through all ten clips of AK ammo within the first wave and never get more ammo from drops. Coin drop amounts need to scale for late game items. I was using all my coins on ammo, leaving me with nothing to upgrade with. It's an okay game, I give it 3 out of 5.

I'd have to give it... maybe a 3 stars for execution, but I'm lowering it to 2 stars because I personally find the content to be offensive. About the only thing you could have done worse than put Ahmadinejad on a freakin' pedestal would be to allow players to put together IEDs and blow up convoys of soldiers. I'm pretty disgusted.

Glitch alert: If you lose on a day, click menu then cancel and wait and it will act as if you won the round with one barrel left.

Rest assured whiny B*****s of the world, if the U.S.A. wanted the oil, we would take it with little to no resistance from the rest of the world.

I'd like to be able to save my coins when I lose a round.. as it is now, I pretty much just end up being stuck and unable to progress after a certain point.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the aiming got problem ..... when i target that specified person , it targets the nearest person .... sad 2 star for this game
At the moment shoes and grenades fly to the point where the cursor was when you fired, not into the enemy cursor was hovering on. And projectiles hit the first enemy they meet on fire trajectory. Other games implement the same approach, though in this one we might should have used more intuitive aiming.

- Sir, we have president Ahmaghinejad in our shooting range. He only have a pair of shoes in his hands. Should we engage?
- Soldier, we need him for our zoo. Just approach the target.
- Sir he got an AK-47. Should we engage?
- Soldier, just approach the target. We are not sure he is looking for nukes.
- Sir, he acquired weapons of mass destruction. Should we engage?
- No soldier. We have direct order from commander in chief. We should not engage until we are sure they are seriously making nuclear weapons.
- Sir, he has nuclear bombs. Should we engage?
- No soldier. I told you. Just approach. Just approach.

The game is laggy ... the soldiers are poor ... the upgrades are slightly too expensive for what you earn ... the aim is horrible ... there's no coin magnet ... the coins fade away too quickly ... when switching between weapons, the "defender" will pump fake for a while before using the weapon ... the rocket's useless ... the hedgehog's useless ... the overall theme is of poor taste. So why can't I stop playing??
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The trajectory of the shoe doesnt reflect any altitude at all. I can be aiming at the dude way at the right hand of the screen, and nail the guy at the "top" of the screen. So when you think you are throwing the shoe in a vertical arc, its handled in the game as if it were flying like a boomerang. Boomerang shoes. Weird.

i like this game, the balance in difficulty and length is perfect. i didnt get bored and is was never too easy or too hard. some points that bothered me:
1) aming wasnt perfect, especially with the shoe on close range 2) i think enemies should have a higher chance of dropping ammunition when killed by shoes 3) first special weapon: stinking socks, second special: nuke. well..... :) 4) the shoe upgrade wasnt very good in my opinion, 3 shoes instead of one made it even more difficult to aim. how about changing from sandald on level 1 to heavy boots on level 3, but always only one shoe. --- good game! 4/5
Tried to make a bit hardcore game. At later stages you will have to choose what weapon to use and how often in order to have enough ammo and money to fight waves of tougher enemies.
It's a grotesque version of the Iranian leader. If you wonder why he throws shoes, it is considered as an insult to throw a shoe at someone in arabic culture. So he tries to get rid of enemies by insulting them :).

Aside from the poor taste in subject matter, the game is polished and complete. Do we ever get to buy uranium centrifuges from snails dressed as mimes to make peace-loving nukes to use on the godless neighbors that educate their daughters and hold accursed democratic elections?
The game saves progress at the moment the shop is displayed after a day. So yes, you will have to re-purchase an upgrade (no additional money wasted!) if you leave the game in the middle of a fight. Not very intuitive, sorry for this.
