Wow thanks a lot fot this awesome fast response ... only I manged to get even further stuck^^ i walked back though the little cave to see if it would somehow help to reload the areas ... now the door in it wont open again. I tried to make it all white or all balck or reload by walking in and out, but now it doesnt do anything anymore. Sorry I somehow seem to have gotten really good at stucking in this spot^^

This one was a lot of fun, definitely had some of the toughest puzzles you've put forth. I might have figured them out but I liked that the hints were available.

If we have bucket made from iron bar, drop it than reload game we can take 2nd iron bar (if we try to transmute it it swap places with bucket).

Mhhh ... think I managed to get stuck: When needing to repair the bridge, I picked up the axe and then clicked it in the inventory again, after the gnome made the stairs disapear. This resulted in the logs somehow remotely being felled and the axe remved from the inventory. I can pass through the little cave, but then I am stuck behind the little tree the gnome placed there without the axe ...
LOL, telekinetic woodchopping! I found out it can happen in rare circumstances. I've just added a quick fix so you don't have to start over - interact with the little tree and you should get the axe back. Thanks for the report.

In the first cave, movement is fine until the lever is pulled. Then the when the pits and bridges are revealed lag occurs. In the second cave the lag occurs just from the darkness. As you light the crystals it only gets worse. I am talking games breaking slow, like 15 second response times.
Ok... I added an option to turn off the lighting effects (open the menu with ESC or X and select Options). With the effects off, some puzzles are gone and a few things that happen in the game will make no sense, but if that's the only way to play for those affected by this issue, then it's better than nothing. Please post a comment if it helped.
Hi, the engine doesn't have a quality setting option, it's not flash. I'm not sure what the problem with the lighting animation is that some people have - I experience no lag whatsoever on my mediocre computer, I tried in Chrome and Firefox. Does it slow down for you only during the changing color (which normally takes only 1 second) or does it persist after the color has changed?

my earth wand (or wathever it was that has dig spell) is gone due to a bug (i tried to used it in the wrong place and it was gone.
now i got frabjous seed and i cant end this quest... can you help me? i dont want to start over
Hi, I'd love to help out, but I need to know how it's gone - where did you use it before it vanished? Or did you drop it? Loading autosave doesn't help?

Pro tip: When you put bugs in globe and than you put another they both mix. You can take back one o color will change

just finished it up. There was a bug in the cave with the gate and switch. I don't know how i made it happen. The gate would never open after it glitched. I started over and didn't have a problem at all in the cave. maybe it had to do with leaving and reentering I am not sure. Anyway, finished the game and again 2 thumbs up. Some of the things i got challenged with were so simple... I felt like an idiot for not trying it sooner. Love the puzzles and the plot. Also like the fact that you get to see a little of why the gnomes are there...
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I'd like to fix that bug, but I don't know which gate and switch you mean or what exactly happened before it would never open.

Very Nice! I felt these were some of your better puzzles, and I really liked the "collectable = hint" mechanism... I needed two. Once to get through the loose earth because I wound never have considered doing THAT to THE THING, and another because I didn't spot the bar of metal, but both hints got things on the right track without being too much. Two thumbs up.
One bug: On the altar screen I dropped the air wand and it turned into another blue gnome that I couldn't interact with. When I left the screen and returned it was gone (along with the wand) and I needed to reload a save.
Also: BLOODY GNOMES BEHIND EVERYTHING
Hi, thanks. Yeah, the point is that doing THAT (Qwert's ability) is like a wildcard, you need to use it on a lot of THINGS to see what happens, because it's not as predictable as say Water or Fire. But hey, that's what the hints can help with. About dropping the wand at the altar - I meant to disable dropping things in that location, but forgot... there are so many possible combinations in this game that it's been hard to keep track. :D But I'll fix that.

I gathered 3 lightbugs then i remove the yellow from the orb to try another light , then when I check the inventory it becomes empty vial. just have 2 blue and red. is this bug?
Yes, removing the lightbugs from the orb should return the relevant vial to your inventory. Not sure what happened there. It's best to reload your autosave at that point.

My guy... you're dropping these faster than my math grade. Keep up the good work bro. This is a phenomenal game just like the last ones were
Thanks. I actually made Golden Scepter and Mind Trial last year already, then I only changed them a little to be suitable for Kongregate. I wanted to publish them together with releasing Elemental Link on Steam. Then I started working on this one at the beginning of March. It takes about two months to make a game like this, working full time.

@Beranek: West of the gnome shrine, there's a gate that's controlled by a pressure plate, pushing a gnome south if he's standing in it. Blocking that spot makes it freeze.
Oh, see, there are so many combinations to consider. I didn't think anyone would place one gnome inside the gate, another gnome south of the gate, and then step on the switch with a third gnome :D But I'll fix that, thanks for letting me know. The engine is definitely not built for this kind of switching between three characters, I had to improvise a lot. :D

I'm a real fan of your games. I had a lot of fun playing them even if I got stuck sometimes. this is a wonderful and well-loved world you decided to share with us. And I know I'd be pretty sad to see the story end here. I played Elemental Link, and I really enjoyed it. I hope you decide to continue making games.
It's one of the "locks" that open the gate to the 3 flowers. There are two more objects that appear together with the star vortex - one for each gnome to interact with.

Please don't stop now, I love your games! If it makes you feel any better, look at some of the shit VasantJ gets on their games (usually when they get badged) But they continued and we still have their great games to look forward to as well :) Please give it some time. I know how defeating it can feel when people immediately shit on something you've worked long and hard on when you've only just shared it. The difference is, you have something worth doing! :D Gentle flow to you, sibling ;) :)

Beranek, from what i read most tend to like the games. I have loved them all so far... stuck in the cave atm but im sure ill figure it out. I wouldnt quit because of the few that don't like anything that takes time to figure out.

I dropped the wind/dig staff at the shrine to transform it and it turned into a goblin and disappeared. So now I can't finish the game....
Sorry about that, I'll fix it. It's best to load the autosave at that point. If you haven't left the shrine, your autosave will still contain the wand.

light bug puzzle room grinds way down on firefox+windows 7. almost unplayable. slows whole kongreate page, not just game.
It runs smoothly for me in Win7/Firefox.
EDIT:
I added an option to turn off the lighting effects (open the menu with ESC or X and select Options). With the effects off, some puzzles are gone and atmosphere suffers, but it should solve the problem for those that have the lag.

Not everybody is going to like everything you do, but that doesn't mean you should quit if it's something you enjoy. You've done a great job of giving each of these prequel games a distinct, unique feel. Once summer hits, I plan to give Elemental Link a shot, and I think I'm going to enjoy it too. As far as the challenge level, if you do another short like this, consider including selectable difficulty levels, perhaps with some sort of bonus for completing it on the harder difficulty.

As expected, a very good game, and I'd say the hardest of the three EL flash games. It was very cool that the completionist-friendly collectible was also the price to pay for clues. Although, and I say this from the most constructive of criticisms, the light puzzle can go eat an entire building full of wasps.
Hi, thanks, I guess. By "light puzzle" you mean the ambiance orb? I thought that was pretty nice and original. Oh well. This is the last game. I've invested two months of work into this and people don't really like it.

I am really enjoying this game, but I am stuck on the train puzzle. I keep trying to go back and forth to switch the tracks and barriers and I am just too slow or just unable to figure it out. Ugh.

if some players like the timer and other don't, make a button to turn it ON/OFF instead of going only with one of them
No, I can't. There were very different mechanics for some of the puzzles, but people complained about doing timed puzzles, so I reworked them. Can't have both. But judging by how people downrate the game anyway, I guess this is my last attempt at a game. Two months of almost every day work went into this. It's just not worth the trouble.

May I ask how you remove the red magic barrier? Also how do you get the bag down from the tree, I tried the stick, axe and hammer.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I dropped the shards somewhere in the cave and now I can't find them and I have nothing to put in the cliff to get to the light bugs...
Hey, I didn't count with the possibility of dropping them in the cavern, so they just vanish, oops :) It should be ok now, please try re-entering the cave, they should be where you dropped them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have removed the timing factor from the puzzles. It's a bit too easy now, in my opinion, as I think there's fun in a challenge, but if that's how players want it, who am I to dispute that.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Another well designed game. Some of the puzzles are tricky but that only gave me greater pleasure when i solved them! ^o^
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Okay, I officially dislike this game. There are too many timing puzzles that rely on quick keyboard switches from gnome to gnome. Moved it from fun to obnoxious.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I liked it until I got stuck in the cave with the 3 gnomes. I have 4 light crystals lit and can't reach the 5th because the bridge doesn't extend all the way even with the yellow guy on one green spot and the blue guy on the other. The helpstone was no help at all as it simply stated the obvious. Using the helpstone a second time gives the same useless hint for the area.

First impression: while it's nice to zoom around sometimes, it feels like that should be a button or a toggle. As it is I feel like I'm going to fast to explore carefully.
