For a strong farming/passive start, buy the best treasure upgrades that you can and stick with your stock guns until the level two boss.
This is effective for a few reasons. 1) An upgraded loot stat improves the drops you receive from mobs and chests, resulting in more loot per mob killed 2) chests spawn periodically, but bosses only spawn when you've destroyed a certain amount of mobs, meaning that if you can drag the pre-boss wave out by not killing many mobs you will get to farm more chests 3) maxed magnetism allows you to sail around the map's perimeter collecting loot until another chest respawns while putting your ship at little risk 4) your captain gains "levels" based off of the amount of gold you collected in the previous level. A higher level corresponds to more starting gold.
I typically start with the top loot upgrade and then as soon as I have 600 I purchase a ship upgrade and the 3rd tier loot upgrade.

Good addictive game. A little suggestion.. as the game is mouse cursor following character game, it needs to detect if the cursor has gone beyond the play area. I killed twice on the last boss because i was so concentrating of dodging cannon balls that my mouse gone out of play area and got a hit.

This is definitely a game worthy of badges! Because of the way the developer keeps this game so simple, yet so addicting, I believe it deserves 5/5 stars!

This game is great,the only thing i could say is,after each boss maybe the background could change? Like the water turns darker like its becoming night.and gets more choppy ya know? besides that great game five stars

So I paused and then while in the pause screen I press space and open shop... Close the shop, bam, game starts, still on pause screen. Won't let me close pause screen. Still beat final bosses second form. >:D

2nd boss crew: captain theres a small wooden ship coming at our metal super sub marine what should we do? captain: we should make these little red and yellow balls to defend are ship from all attacks so we can be un harmed while we attack it but only for a little while then they should spread out making us completly vunerable to attacks! :D crew: um why not just keep them there? captain: BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT NOW GET TO WORK!!!!!

Out of the shark, pirate, red bullet, coin, doubloon, and diamond infested ocean... It was totally worth it when I fought against the bosses!

GLITCHH: If you click off screen, wait for Lachh to do his thing, click back on screen and immediately press space. This takes you to the shop but doesn't pause the game, this glitch isn't at all usefully or really important but I felt like posting it anyways =)

here is how to defeat 2nd boss whitouth hit : max out your weapon (i recomend best flag + best weapon + tier 2 weapon) and you can actually destroy the eyes then when the eyes get away from him just come close to him and you actually destroy him completely before the eyes come back XD

Got to the *last boss* and once I defeated him with one life left I pulled my ship alongside to catch the loot... bad decision on my part.
