@ ckugar, either use the Boomraxe's magic attack, or hit them in the right order, the order is displayed with dots at the end of each spike of the shuriken (or ninja star as you call it), good luck!

The level 21 upgrades are all insane. Strength upgrade is you shoot a spreadshot of lightning bolts across the screen that do 999 damage. Magic Upgrade is all magic attacks only use 1 energy (infinite dashes). Health upgrade is all damage is reduced to 1.
Needless to say, the final boss was a joke :p

best game 5/5 but here's some advice heart power up and energy up don't upgrade it it just gives hp back to you thats why you mostly need power up

This game reminds me of the legend of zelda games... aah that takes me back (and obviously the "hey listen" badge is a LOZ referance too). The only way the game could be any better, would be if at the start of the game the old man says "it's too dangerous to go alone, take this". I'd happily give this 5 stars anyday.

For the dungeon with the ninja star at the centre, switch weapons to your ranged weapon, stand in the middle and use your magic. The blades will hit all switches and the key will release.

need help, stuck on 2 dungeons, like a ninja star in the center of 4 levers and i have no idea how to make it work, anyone know?

This does take me back to a simpler time when it was just me and A Link to the Past. Me and Link against the world. The comedy is a nice touch as well, as it works with a game that's played in a browser.
As for the swapping of main hand.. it's probably a homage to The Legend of Zelda, in case you didn't catch that. Either that, or they actually used the same method.

I really liked this one. But can someone tell me what the health upgrade does? I haven't noticed any difference after getting it to lvl 3. It still says 400 total health, and I still take as much damage from enemies. The game is great though, I thought it was very well made.

wow this game is awesome! pretty much the exact same thing as zelda 2, the levelling system, health and magic bar and EVERYTHING!

It Reminds me the Old Zelda, Pokémon and Chibi Knight. Nice graphics and nice gameplay. It's a really good game, I hope you made a sequel ^^

Great game, cool parody of A Link to the Past. The bonus boss with 1 health bar left is INSANE! Spamming lighting sucks.

I really liked the game. Thought the graphics were awesome too, don't know what anyone's complaining about. Only problem I had was when I was fighting the first boss and the camera went all weird(part of the game) but when I died the camera stayed in that mode which makes the game really hard to play.

@Hellion666
It's a common trick with old sprite games, where you mirror the horizontal images of your character. This game feels more old-fashioned by using that trick.

Wow I beat the coliseum before I got the mustache 0_o I'm just dumbfounded on how I beat Brutus before Abobination when Brutus is 4 times as tough.

Zazazu, this is like a combo of Zelda and Zelda 2: Link's quest for the NES. I'm not sure if you are one of the younger gamers that hasn't experienced the classics, but yea.

You can totally do some glitchy attacks by attacking / using a special with one of the ranged weapons, then switching to a short-ranged one. For example, switching from the boomeraxe to the stick/sword will cause you to lunge forward, and its special fires 4 boomeraxes on diagonals.

The game is awesome! It really was a lot of fun for me. And by the way. To all those who argue about stealing from each other. The graphics of the menu were taken from "Zelda II - The Adventures of Link". It was a game on NES. Here's a picture:

So stop crying aboutusers stealing from each other. It's stupid!

I really liked this game. Gave it five stars for good feel, good handling of characters, fun visuals (old-school, but didn't hurt my eyes like some pixelated old-school games), and good length of play.
