also, speed is relatively easy after getting the high powered cannon (very high attack power, medium rate of fire) and the nuclear air raid. just run though on most upgraded version of spider legs and have the fully upgraded light head, high powered cannon, nuke, and the cooling thing (i cant remember the name for the life of me) and just run through to the boss and sub boss, use airstrike when possible against boss, and shoot him continuously. stage 5 is potentially more difficult. as it involves rescuing people. just use the same strategy, but at the second rescue point, where all the enemies are, shoot the nuke close enough between the tank and the other units to kill both, and far enough away from the rescue point so it doesnt blow it up (i did this 3 times b4 getting it right. them just continue doing the same thing to the boss

for all of you that are complaining about lvl 2 being too hard you are really freaking stupid. do 2-3 sidequests and then go to hangar and get the cannon. + if you agree.

At the end of this game you can use rapid firing homing death missiles and a nuke. And of course it's balance to mow down infantry instantly! It wouldn't make sense for them to survive being hit by anything.

when i am moving with the bipod i cant change my aim. I have to stop to change the aim of the gun. Is this normal? I am using a built in laptop mouse.

Just found out a bug: in stage 6 (maybe in others too) you can just walk to the left from the beginning and go around the borders of the map. Also enemies won't be able to shoot you. Very useful if you're doing a speedrun or using the hardcore device.

codeytherhino: You can swap to a heavier chassis(you start with light legs, you can use heavy legs or rail[i.e. tank tracks], though note that rail isn't nearly as agile as legs), and you eventually get upgraded versions of the chassis which are faster and carry more.
Pretty sure the only way you can get any use from a standard spider chassis is by equipping the weight-reducing item, by which time you'll either have or not be far from the upgraded chassis anyway. Go figure...

Seriously, why didn't you guys add an option to change the keys. Neither shift keys work for the shoulder weapons and space bar in combination with mouse and arrows / wasd isn't that easy to hit...

Do you ever got to increase your weight? Because at the start you are almost at your maximum so almost any upgrade makes you go over 60 tons.

nice concept but needs some balancing... Example: Mission 1 "laugh as puny little people are mowed down by your awesome machine gun" Mission 2: "tear your hair out as giant enemies capable of crushing you, laugh at your puny little machine gun" I mean come on... at least give players the option of a better weapon after the first mission

Hard Boiled Medal: Lose 500 lives in one level.
That's just madness! I only have 37/60 towards the hard achievement so far...

Amazing! I loved the first one, and the sequel didn't let me down! The graphics are great! I really like how you get to pilot the mini bosses as well! All of the equipment, medals, and side missions are also dramatic improvements. I can't wait for the next one, with all the improvements from the first to the second who knows what's in wait? I'd love to see multi-player with several different modes. Heck, with good multi-player and a longer campaign I'd probably pay for it!

I just cant earn the gold star in the "Destroy 4" sidequest... I kill everyone (All the enemys), I do it ASAP, and I dont earn it...

Btw when it says that you can get more things when you go to king, that is stupid. You dont have them unlocked, you have to buy them, and it sometimes stuttered during gameplay on me.

great game, very enjoyable! my only pet peeve is that when a game has "kill x number of y" or "collect x of z" or "die x times" medals / achievements, it should show your progress towards them. also, a minimap would be nice, or at least buttons more convenient to reach than O or P. those are just minor annoyances though, still gave the game a well-deserved 5/5.

The engine is especially well-optimized and fast. A big thumb up to the programmer! Better job than Mech Commando 1, which is already fast!

I went to King.com because they promised additional upgrades. Well not only do you have to pay actual money for each additional upgrade but you are assaulted with adds all over the site. Please mark + to warn others who may be tempted. It will just be a wasted of time.

I think I know how the ranking works ! If you zoom with [Ctrl + scroll wheel], you can see at the end of every side mission, out of the normal game screen, three values : Kill / Temps (time) / Dmg.
I think you have to kill as much as possible, as fastest as possible, ending the level with as much life as possible (I had 275 life at the end, the Dmg value was 2576).
