It's just really uninteresting. Combat is too simple. Enemies add nothing to the attempt at horror. Their only difficulty is taking an absurdly large amounts of damage. Slow moving tanks are not scary. The story is bland, the leveling system may as well not exist. And many of the things I think were supposed to be "intense" or "disturbing" just got annoying or seemed childish. And flashing the same zombie on screen every time i change menus QUICKLY loses any effect. 1/5, at best.

"And poor young Sergei, through his trials, never learned the secret of aiming his gun up or down..." Well, there was one especially easy part: Do You Want To Continue? No. See, easy!

It also seems like some enemies are very hard to kill, like those enemies that are yellow with tentacles for arms, I fired 23 shots into one and they lived.

game ran smoothly unless something was loading. I was able to tell whenever there was an enemy up ahead when the game would lock up for a second and then kill it while it was off screen. Besides that the only time the game ran fine except for the end when you were playing the "how many enemies can we shove in one room and still expect an average player to make it through" game. Both of these are really only issues though because my computer is not quite ideal for gaming but it would still be nice if you could stream line it some.

Ah, goddam and dam and dam and dam. Typical platform game experience for me... I get all the way to the very end boss... and I just can't beat him. This will never be possible fore me. One-hit kill? One slight mis-step and insta-death off a platform? That's no fun at all... I can't believe I wasted so much time on this... I should have known better. What a total heartbreak. Dammit all to hell.

At first i thought "Yes! This will be an awesome rpg-like horror game!" Then I realized it just is a shooting game that has a useless item screen and stat upgrades that seem to either not work at all or be so much smaller than shown that they do almost nothing. 2.5/5 until something is done about leveling.

I liked it, I just found it really weird there was no fire UP option. Apparently the main character is physically disabled.

Screenshake = REALLY annoying. Upgrades include new armor, new bullet and a flashlight??? whwer's the cool weapons and gear we were promissed?

SOOOO boring... the first boss was way too easy, I'm not willing to play further than this. I just had to run up platforms holding spacebar the whole way. Not worth playing.

Since I can see the majority of comments already addressed the dash and the platforms I'm going to focus something else. The first impression was that it's a pretty simplistic, if solid platformer. I was thus torn between giving it a 3 and a 4 as while there was little innovation solid platformers are hard to come by these days. Ultimately I've decided for 3. Other than some awkwardness in the control department the game proved ultimately disappointing plotwise. There were a few intense moments and a few interesting hooks that were never really developed and the game ended with a standard (warning, spoiler) "self-destruct ship and get away" idea, which was getting a bit cheap in the 90s already.

this game make me think about dead space but i know in dead space is some kind of alien but it still remind me of it...

game ran poorly all the time, jsut boaring, leveling is useless and seems to just bin put in as a extra rpg style add in, liner and boaring for some reason. annoyance cuz it looked good

great game, beat it, with a little ajustmant could be better, the difference in power the player can feel is in the shooting speed, it should be fixed , that old slow shoot was nice, istead make it so the power of each bullet really increases, it will make the game to not loose its 'scary' factor, cause the way it is be the last 2-lvs this game seens more like a rack-slah than anything, i just kept running and shooting my gun like it was a machine-gun. it was fun but it completly destroyed the game atmosphere that the game had in the begginning. as soomeone said before me, Pacing needs works.

Hi fellow Berzerkerz :) I really like all your games cuz they always seem to be...hmm.... well quite a lot of fun :).
Anyhow im going for all of your achievements all the time but now it seems, that two of yours in this game seem to be bugged:
If you finish the last level with 1 up to 4 stars them stars are shown on the pick-a-level-screen. Even the evenuality earned medailles and achievements are shown - but it does NOT safe them. I just reloaded and noticed, that both of em are gone again.
If ya would fix that, it woulda be 6/5 :).

the ranking for me doesnt seem to be working.... strange. i dont really care though, its all around a great game. i mean, it reminds me of Dead Space but whatever, it was really well made.

Inability to aim + enemies that hide above the field of fire, enemies that drop out of nowhere + unforgiving close combat, rare health packs, "secret" upgrades required to win the game that can't be recovered if missed, two-sentence ending message...this is cutting edge 1990s platforming.

Word of Advice for the final boss. If you're having trouble staying on the platforms ( I know I was!) simply jump to the first one and then only use the up arrow key and touch nothing else. If you double jump right as the giant butterfly begins to shoot a laser towards you, you should have enough airtime to easily get over it. He should stay on the other side of the screen, shoot one beam below you, come up to your level, you jump above it and continue pummeling him to death.
Good hunting!

It was a good game but the lack of action was it's big mistake with a few things that could be fixed here or there like the boost was too sensitive but I also enjoyed the leveling system

Wow i can't believe how much people want to be smart asses, except from the fact that this is a horror game that take place in a abandoned space ship this game have nothing to do with dead space first of all in dead space its about somekind of virus, in this game its evil creature from another world who possess people and it's not the same kind of game play at all if people made a game with special forces that dosen't mean they rip off call of duty. this game seem to take more its inspiration in sci-fi horror movie like event horizon ,alien ,from beyond ,and also the lovecraft universe

No idea why you guys complain about the last boss, it was much easier than some other ones. All you have to do is go to the second platform hold space, double jump when boss moves up. Get hit, zero times, fall of platforms, zero times..

anyone else find the ending shitty?also as killed by dante said yeah i mean wtf we never see her on the ship i thought maybe at the end or somewhere around there but it never happends and anyone whose finished the game has gone all over the ship so?also i think the dream sequence is slightly out of order like what did she magically regain her sanity while being completly covered and trapped in interdimentional goo? srsly i would lose my mind and once its lost its kinda near impossible to regain...also being able to aim up would be helpful

It's weird, press the map key during a dream and you will see a "PIERRE PIERRE" written about a hundred times in a row and you will be on the ceiling of a level.
