man, i just need to go into morph ball now and drop a powerbomb. you could at least advertise it as what it is.... METROID: Dead Space. after the first mission, i just ran through everything shooting... i used no strategy at all. just ran forward and never stopped shooting... 4 star'd everything except the second mission. i like bezerkstudios games but... seriously. it wasnt nearly as good as the games it (whether intentional or not) appears to emulate. as a flash game i rate it a 4/5 because... well c'mon we've all clicked onto worse games. ethically though... copied story, copied *dash* (which can't even do what metroid dash could do) upset me. overall, 3/5.

If the game was supposed to be scary, why do you add things like powerups, floating keys, experience, no enemy activity besides walking around like goombas and achievements?
If you've ever played an horrorgame, you'll see that there are as few thing a possible that reminds you that it's in fact a video game.
For example, in the game Dead Space, the health is seen on the characters back, as a part of the game world, not just something that floats in the air for you to see.

Your game's useless spamming of the laggy-as-all-heck fuzzy screen transitions between EVERYTHING is pretty irritating. Enough to drop a star off of my original rating.

YOU KNOW WHAT? this is just a cheap rip off of the most amaxing ps3 or xbox 360 game called Dead Space. sure it is a little off. but the idea is still there. so 2-5. but because i love dead space so musch i will put a 3-5

You guys have a memory leak in the transition screen between the main gameplay and the inventory / map screens. The more I access them, the slower it gets. Works fine if I never access those screens.

Oh yeah and don't listen to the haters, I think the music and atmosphere are perfect for a metroid-esque game like this.

The gameplay, concept, and storyline are very good. It's a spinoff of doom and metroid, like a lot of games are, but it's not a problem. The bosses, however were all too easy, and the ending was a bit dry. I suggest a second one or something. Also the "upgrades" and inventory screen were very misleading, why I recommend a second, purely awesome one. 3/5

Not a bad game. Ending was a slight let down and a little unbelievable. The game itself seemed a little too easy. Once I got the spread upgrade and everything else, it seemed like a friggen breeze. Overall, a decent game 3/5

kinda short, a little on the easy side... I only died a couple times cause I was watching TV and chatting while playing... still, overall not bad... 3/5

Ok, if you want to have a scary game, you are doing it wrong. Try playing penumbra overture sometime. Its not scary if 1. you kill all the enemies easily 2. You earn xp and level up 3. You have boss battles and 4. The graphics are cartoony.
Seriously, it seems like what you did to make it scary was add music and make it dark sometimes.

-pros-
nice story, great concept, great armor ideas, ok leveling system, ok game overall
-cons-
i hated the last boss, needs an option to turn off dash, hated the fat dashing monster thingy lolz, needs different weapons, lame ending, lame messages through-out the game (computer messages), and poor edge platform accuracy.

The Sequel should take place on earth, Good game good graphics and good generic horror plot. Now sadly lets try aiming with the mouse and oh always a plot different weapons you know start off with pistol end up branching into machine gun dual or uber pistol and shotgun, Or like some chip based upgrading gun. if you left the ending like that at least have a to be continued or an epilogue or prologue for the next game

one shot away and i boosted off the platform....make the inventory mean something i dont want the boost so let me get rid of it or move it to a different button makes the last boss much more frustrating then it needs to be

What's the point of the suit upgrade that makes you dash forward? Does it do damage to the enemies? Does it make you invulnerable while you are dashing? I couldn't tell. The only thing I know is that it makes it hard to play a platformer when hitting forward twice (to adjust your position on a narrow platform inexplicably placed over a bottomless chasm ) makes you dash forward of the platform.

hey cyber77, uhh, about what said that u cant have survival horror and sci-fi shooter genre together isnt true, what about Dead Space? its amazing game that uses survival horror and sci-fi shooter and it FITS perfectly '-' and plz dont come with a talk about that Dead Space got better funds >_> thats not im talking about
buut about the other thing u said i agree with some
i found the bosses easy too =/ ( ow man, i would complain much if at least the last boss were the really only hard one)
true that the inventory is useless
and the ending didnt really fit, u just say "wtf?", it ruins all the atmoshere '-'
it really needed more items
but its a good game excluding those things =]
3/4

Enjoyed it! Bosses were a bit easy but that always makes for just a straight forward fun shooter which I can dig. Thanks! 4/5!

It was very good, however im only giving it a 4/5, because of the final bosses HORRIBLE platform, every time i tried to jump from one to another, there was a good chance i fell due to dash or how there's a chance while ur firing ur gun you may not double jump. Still, good game 4/5

Pretty good game could do with a little work eg. harder bosses more weaponry less durable enemies all in all though good story line can't wait to see a sequal

Fun game. I would suggest an option to turn off the mist it seemed to run a little slower for me in areas with a lot of mist. Not super slow but a little lag

Response to new ending - OMG WOW THANK YOU. Just perfect.
Buuuuut. One more thing. Now that the damage bug is fixed the bosses are even EASIER, along with the whole game. So yeah. Thankfully that's not the focus of the game. One last thing. It's really annoying jumping up withing seeing what's up there and getting hit by those flying things. Maybe one last light upgrade that lets you see higher? That or the option to aim upwards.
Bug reports - three times my game has randomly frozen. Also, once the screen when completely black when I died right after killing the final boss, but before he blew up. When I re-spawned the game was still there according to the sound effects and whatnot, but I couldn't see anything. Even going back to the main menu didn't work, I had to refresh.
And one question. I never got any rank on any mission when I was playing. Is it based solely off of time or what? I don't think that the game explains.
Hope this helps, this was a great game.

Oh look, another hapless engineer forced to fight a crew of unexplainably altered people on an experimental ship. In Space. I think the originality is what really stuns me.
