Under rating threshold (show) Fourthly: What the hell was the point of that sprint suit? any corridor long enough for it to be of any use was so full of enemies that you COULDN'T use it. And it became more of a hindrance in the end when any accidental double tap of a directional button would send you plummeting to your untimely death. But for all I hated about this game, and there was a lot to hate, it had some really captivating features as well.

Under rating threshold (show) the damage thingie is just stupid. got +30% damage, still takes the same amount of hits to kill something. Oh, wait, let me guess, all the bad guys also level up at exactly the same time as i do, right? :/

Under rating threshold (show) This was as frustrating as it was illogical and ended up being the cause of a majority of my deaths. Which brings me to Thirdly: How the hell is it reasonable forcing you into a corner where you are obliged to stay and and halfheartedly fire your peashooter until the glorious yellow arachnid decides to flick you into the all too welcoming abyss below? And if it wasn't the bug that made you fall it was your own damn suit! I know you may say "ah but it WAS challenging wasn't it?" and yes, I agree that a final boss SHOULD be challenging, however it should also be engaging and stimulating and, I don't know about you but, standing in one place for several minutes holding down space and then jumping every now and then until you fall and die due to a terribly designed battle area isn't really what I would call engaging or stimulating.

Under rating threshold (show) The "damage upgrades" served no greater purpose than to mock me, and I soon gave up on combat altogether, simply sprinting through the latter stages of the game. The bosses, although sometimes repetitive provided a refreshing change in game-play, and were the most pleasurable part of the game for my, that is until I came across the final one. This just topped the whole miserable experience off for me. Firstly: The bastard has more health than Sephiroth in KH 2. Secondly: It is FAR too easy to fall to your death. As if it's epilepsy inducing mouth blast spree wasn't enough why on earth would you throw that glistening, beauteous body at your enemy as an attack?! I mean almost all of the speech-capable enemies raved on about the beauty "the Yellow" and what does it do? It hurls itself at your pitiful, metal clad body. I mean isn't this thing meant to be some kind of higher being or something? It has a crown as part of it's head for Tyler's sake!

Under rating threshold (show) This game... Is awful. It started off rather promisingly, I admit, luring me in with rather smooth side scrolling action and a tantalizing story. My fears were first aroused, however, when I came across one the mutilated roof skulls. After firing at it for the better part of a minute I gave up; dismissing it as an invincible enemy (which, apparently, it isn't). I became further disturbed when I got my first suit upgrade. The thing is absolutely pointless, achieving nothing more than a double jump which should have been present from the start and should not have been a "reward" or achievement. And then there is the leveling system. I soon realized that no matter how many levels I gained it wasn't going to help me kill the ever growing numbers of seemingly invulnerable opponents. (Those charging tentacle jerks caught me in a corridor once, a certain death scenario as it turned out.)

Under rating threshold (show) 3* = Could do better. Possible improvements: (1) A few different weapons. (2) Ability to aim diagonally. (2.5) Perhaps mouse-based aiming. (3) Ability to aim the flashlight? (4) Have the upgrades ACTUALLY WORK! (As many other users have noticed; the '+[x]% Damage' doesn't actually affect anything) (4.5) Perhaps allow the users to choose what they upgrade.

Under rating threshold (show) The ending let the game down a lot imo, it was pretty strong up to that point (even though it does takes ideas from a few other sources) more weapons/upgrades would be nice, something along the lines of Metroid for example. Really good game though 4/5

Under rating threshold (show) revisiting areas makes the undeads alive again...one can in priciple get to a very high level before moving to a harder region...this kind of ruins the tension or makes the game much less difficult. nonetheless the storyline is good

Under rating threshold (show) Pacing needs works. :\ Despite all the intense images and whatnot I find myself getting inappropriately bored. Perhaps more frequent but less durable enemies could work? I think faster paced action (or, if you want to live up to the game's atmosphere, far less action) should help the game.

Under rating threshold (show) Great game, but a ton of flaws. First, the final boss. Lame. It wasnt hard, but it sure was frustrating - you sit there shooting at it for five minutes, and then make a tiny mistake, which means you fall to your doom due to poorly designed platforms. Second, the ending! The story was great, even if it was similar to other games... but the ending rewards is just the words the end and YOU LIVEDED. Lame. Finally, Im not sure if the damage upgrades really did anything, optional upgrades scattered around were too sparse, too easy to find, and not powerful enough. A sequel would be outstanding, just make sure you realized the difference between difficult and frustrating, include the option to fire in all directions, add in more exploration/findables, and iron out a few design flaws (those butterfly spitters are just annoying).

F u C k the last armor sucks hard .... i died twice in the last boss because the fast thing pops up only walking once sometimes ... thats really stupid ... cause i was unable to use rocket to go back to plataform... and the worst thing is that 1st time i killed him and then fall and 2nd time 10% left ... if not ill rate 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) Not at all a fan of the last boss...I never like bosses where the challenge just comes from boredom and twitchy controls! But a solid game overall. 4/5, almost 5/5. Can't believe I beat the whole thing without spread gun. Doh!

Under rating threshold (show) Promising, but as the others said it has problems. The story is a total rip-off of Dead Space, Event Horizon, etc. Not a HUGE problem for a flash game though. What is a problem, however, is the amount of strange features (or are they bugs?). Damage and shield upgrades seem to do nothing. Weapon upgrades are far too sparse. You can't shoot above yourself or in any other direction. You can't jump down. With more tweaking this could be a classic, but as it stands, it is merely average.

Under rating threshold (show) The stupid final boss is so tough for me. Not because it can hit me. In fact, I can go unhitable except for every so often, one will catch me and throw me off the platforms ot my death. Hate this. Great game. Hate this.

Under rating threshold (show) please for god sake put a option to change armor,the prototype armor made me lose countless times becuase of the bloody dash it made me fall alot (against the butterfly boss), will you belive me if i told you that i spended more than half an hour trying to beat the butterfly? well its becuase of the dash, i could of finshed way earlyier but when i moved right guess what, it dashed and made me fall and after trying over and over again i actualy could beat the boss, anyway the game was great i give it 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) Pros: Very good graphics and story, gameplay is pretty good, cool looking and creative bosses Con: Story is almost identical to EA's Dead Space, and the ending is literally 15 seconds long and leaves me say "..that was it?"

Under rating threshold (show) Trick to beating last boss. crouch on the platform thats in the middle of the four platforms on the far right. If you crouch in the right place the yellow lasers wont hit you. and all you need to do is jump over the boss when he moves to across to the left. You can just hold down space and sail through.

Under rating threshold (show) That was pretty fun, although I would like to say, the game isn't dinamic enough. Not the best I've seen. I think it can be improved (A LOT)! Well, for starters try a mouse aiming system, it would change game play entirely. The boss AIs were too dumb :\ It was pretty easy to fight them. btw, the ending was horrible. It was like, that's it? No epic ending? and was there a scene with a naked woman? Try not to do that, little kiddies may see it. :( In a nutshell, 3/5

Under rating threshold (show) Most of what I want to say has already been said (mouse aiming, customization, etc). Some of the enemies were simply too powerful to waste my time shooting (the ceiling-mounted "volcanoes" that dropped the yellow slime took 40 hits (!) each to kill). Other than that, I played it through to the end and I agree that this is a well-designed game.
