to challenge the fella on the gam-o-tec just click on the game in the inventory and then click on the "I" (for inventory) again. You'll you back to the game and have the game in your hand. Then just click on the fella to challenge.

For all frustrated players - in order to build the corsage you need to know about it. So just go to Mrs. Bates and tell her you go out with Susan. She´ll ask for the corsage. Go down again and after Hewitts remark about a corsage you can build it finally.

(SPOILERS) Alright, I am stuck, after talking to the boy on the roof. I couldn't find anything else to do. Finally I gave up and decided to look at the walkthrough. It tells me to give the tickets to the lady in the cafeteria, but it won't let me. I did everything mentioned before that moment in the walkthrough. Something's just not right here.
