This game is not as money hungry as the other comments might suggest.
First off, there are boxes on EVERY map that provide uri, pick them up and see.
2nd, there is an auction where one of every uri item is sold to the highest credit bidder, every hour. You can buy ships and ammo and everything in between, sometimes for very cheap if you buy at off times. (I’ve bought all of my uri items from there)
3rd, do you hate getting killed by goli/veng people? Then simply buy a cloak, 500 uridium, easily boxable, it's one of the best ways to keep the killers off your back, because it's way harder to kill what you can't see.
Finally, in need of money? go to the skylab! after putting enough time into it, it becomes a veritable credit fountain, with up to 250K credits pouring out of it every hour when you deliver orange ore to your ship and sell it off, all while staying at your x1 map.
+ This comment in order to have people see that this game isn't as hopeless as one might first think.

i guess with 1 MILLION patches this game could only be ok.... first make it less money hungry because im not spending money for a game thats bull crap seriously though y the hell would u buy some freaking temporary upgrades vote this + up to 100 so other people can think twice be4 they buy something

f this game.... i started when the enforcer goli was the best design, at that time this game had problems, but now.... when the skill vengeance designs came out, this game was too money hungry to even be liked........

another game ruined by credit cards... but that wouldn't be such a problem if the uridium gain rate was a lot faster than it is... i mean to not pay and get a goli (assuming u have no uri) you would need to stay on the top daily login bonus for... near 11 years... frankly i think that's just stupid and the P.E.T.? 250 days at max login bonus... RIPOFF! so really to get these sorts of things at all you would need to pay fr them... however you can still bid fr them... untill the next update i think...

@Aster449, your design is in the equipment area of the hanger tab. If it is a Goliath design, you need a goliath, if it is a vengeance, guess what? you need THAT ship, you cant see the design unless you have that type of ship.

@Xtremejthama, your laser is not showing because you did not equip it in the hanger, go to equipment, drag the LF-3, and boom, 150 damage added to your ship.

1 i dont want to pay so im stuck with throwing rocks as my attack
2 the overpowered players flying around in the first areas killing any lower lvl player is annoying
3 the game wont save my file
4 this game has potential but refuses to use it unless you spend $50 then when you have the stuff worth getting the game gets boring. attack, pick up rock, attack, sell rock...

Fix the log out...Make it down to ten seconds cause the button is RED so if it was an accident, you woudnt need almost half a minute to do it.

Guide to becoming good in Darkorbit: get your skylab up a lot, its a big moneymaker, then get some drones and a better ship, untill u have 8 drones (any kind) and a goli. After that you still focus on skylab, but go to the uppers, the things there give lots of money, ep, and uridium, i hope again that this helps (P.S. do not attempt to go into the uppers and fight strong creatures without a vengeance ship or higher ^.^)

For all you people wondering about the exp per level, or credits and exp per npc, and things like that just visit the darkorbit forums, you can search it and find it on any searchbar, i hope this helps

For all people who need a good place to level up hunt devo's in 2-3 they give good exp and are not as tough as sibelons, also take devo quests, because they give good exp also :3
