Can you add a "Key" button on items similar to the "Lock" in function, but instead it minimizes it or hides it entirely, for certain items that you need in your inventory for certain tasks.

I think it would be cool to have different followers for auto battle, for example one might help you switch to the most effective weapon in your inventory, one might take items back, one might only fight one type of enemy, One might help with skill level ups, stuff like that.

How Do I get to Hoin? I've checked every place twice and I'm beginning to suspect that I triggered one of the events it required before it was properly implemented, making it unreachable unless a check is made for this (suspected) soft-lock.

do any of the followers actually work? i've purchased the max lv auto smithing follower, the auto combat follower, and several lower level mining/fishing followers. none of them appear to work or do anything

@Me19: Buy a bunch of salt at "Soul Goods" (you can farm it from salt zombies, but you probably need armor to win that fight which means you need leatherworking first), deposit it at "Tammy's Tannery". Hunt in Quepland Woods for rabbits. Gut the rabbits, bring the pelts to the tannery. Select "Cure or Tan item", it should have an option for the rabbit pelts you are carrying. 6 hours later, claim the leathers and recieve a bunch of leatherworking exp. Buy and use a leatherworking toolkit to turn the leather into armor, earning more leatherworking exp in the process.

report bug : if the inventory is full after auto smithing ( auto gathering in the bank is awesome) the game freeze , i have to reload the game.

Are coin pouches supposed to eventually just open themselves so as to not consume space or perhaps a better scout that autodeposits? Also when your follower deposits things it should show your total in the bank.

If you want to farm gold go to The Wasteland Route 7 Crossroads and use the carving totem, youll get woodcutting gloves which are worth 100k each and help you level woodcutting if equiped. Might take some time but you should get 5-10+ per hour depending on your luck

Also a suggestion: it'd be nice if you changed the text in every skill's description after an update, so we have a clear understanding about what the skills do. Perhaps some values as well, for example for deftness/strength? Unless you want to keep those a secret, in which case do so :)

@dauntless go to Mount Queple / Quepland woods to see the guy. @dev thanks, turns out I was constantly using the old host - didn't export the saves :P all good now, it seems. The faulty meat is gone, along with the salt/seaweed/rice I had deposited, but I'll work those back up soon enough. If there bug reappears, ima let you know. I know you were trying to fix a UI problem, but the new sizing isn't working for some of us. My locations column gets cut off with no way to scroll down and my inventory has two scroll bars and the second scroll bar block the buttons so I can't equip or deposit anything.
I'm using a laptop with 1600 x 900 resolution. Maybe it's the wide-screen ratio that is messing things up? (Loving the game and appreciate all your hard work.)
could you file a bug report with a screenshot of what your screen looks like? I've increased the minimum width for the game on Kongregate, hopefully that solves the problem. If not, I'll see what I can do about making a special UI for smaller resolutions. Thanks for letting me know!

i hate the new screen locking thing, game screen's too big so i have to zoom out, so now i can't see the level anything requires unless i zoom back in, then i have to zoom back out because the game screen's too big

Right now you lose 1/2 smithing exp when using the smithing follower. Normally you get XP from making the bar and making the target item. Is this intended behaviour?

Can followers level up their skills or not? I really hope so or my current follower is completely useless with level 10 woodcutting

it would be very helpful if you had a tab of stuff were you can see what gathering items location and what you an craft with your current skills in a tab i get lost every now and then and this would be very helpful.

This game really needs an autosave function, and there should be some warning about the need for manual saves. I just sunk multiple hours in and accidentally deleted my tab so now all my progress is gone :(
I'm sorry to hear you lost your save. The game does have an auto save feature, which will give you a red message warning you if your game failed to save properly. Sometimes clicking the load game button too soon after loading the game can cause the save game to not load properly.

It would be nice to have separate inventory windows for gear and materials. I hate having to scroll through 20 panes of gear just to find the animal I want to gut.

Need money? Just carve a totem pole. Idling on that thing won't slow down and doesn't need a hireling. You'd be surprised how much you can make from the drops.

Here are a couple suggestions : 1. Make hunter not be 1-4-8 hours but rather more like the other skills. You send your character to hunt, and from time to time you catch something. 2. Allow crafting better carving knives. 3. Have shops that sell common items such as feathers, rice, seaweed, hemp, etc. And allow your banking follower to send items straight to your bank from the shop.

Here are a couple issues in version 1.015d : 1.Fishing followers do not bank fish while fishing with the harpoon. 2.Smithing any metal bars with the smithing follower does not give XP, but doing so manually does. 3.Sometimes, while auto-smithing items (from lead or iron, i forgot), it gives me a copper bar from thin air.

I don't know where to report this. I broke the Tannery.
I added 10 salt, then proceeded adding multiple items prepare. Now they are ready but I can't withdraw them.

Pressed load game. Didn't work. "Clicked here" and got it. Downloaded that save file onto a doc. Closed it. Now can't open my file on either of the saves, OR the text doc.
