AAAAAAH! Yes! Another Solarmax! :D My day at work is so screwed now. I loved the first one! Looking so much forward to this.

It's a well-made game, but it might as well be renamed: "ZergFest2014: Don't Split Up Your Fleet" because the only strategy that works is that.

I've been hoping for a sequel for a LONG time. On interface, it'd be nice if we could use rectangle-select again for multiple planets. 5/5 regardless.

lv 36 is impossible(or near impossible, i am forever stuck!) on hard!!! other than that, i like how the games challenging and requires no grinding whatsoever. P.S. blackies cheat! their ships fly way too fastXD
BtW, id like to see a storyline, just a few sentences here and there to make the battles mean something!

At first glimpse, I liked how the planets resist to the invasion instead of dying instantly. But then I realize how bad the strategy is. One only have to send all his army on the nearest undefended planet and he will eventually win because his capture speed is faster then his opponent.
I strongly suggest you make the capture speed go at the square root of the number of ships on the planet. That way it would give back a bit of strategy to this game.

Awesome game. I concur with adjusting the slider with keyboard. Trying to adjust it with mouse slows you down. But other than that, very fun. Rather engaging. I liked the build up and the difficulty of the last mission was hard, but not impossible.

all of a sudden the dark units show up and you can no longer win anything. they kill everything, and then once they take over the game just stops, no game over or nothing

This game is way overdone at this point. If you don't add something to it to make it more than just a time game then it's been done before and better. 1/5

Great game, i like these kinds of games
But, there is one thing, i don't know if i'm the only one who is thinking this, the black player is a way to strong... it's really hard to beat him

i really liked the 1st one of these games so i was happy to try the second. sadly this game seems quite a let down compared to the 1st. my problems with it are, its not very fast paced the ships go really slowly i understand that you want it to take time to reach a different planet but not half an hour, the x3 speed seems really unsmooth is it possible to fix this??? the last problem that i have with this game is the AI. (this problem may mainly be due to the speed of the ships) the Ai in the first game were kinda predictable but due to the fast pacedness very little, in this game i can know where they are going to before they even do!!! all in all this game isnt bad i just hoped for better as the first game was great. as a side note i also found that in this game unlike the 1st bold moves get you killed, this isnt really a complaint as the developer may have wanted it this way

this game is great and all but i have never heard of two civilizations fighting for their lives and not shooting each other on the way to each others planets.

WHY WAS THERE NOT A PRESS RELEASE ON THIS?!?! I still play SM1, and am disappointed I missed the initial release! HUZZAH!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
looks nice but where are the upgrades? Thats a staple for this type of game. 3/5 at most. 5/5 if you had some kind of leveling system.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Its quite fun right up to level 33. At which point its suddenly shadow units all over the place. And when they can think faster then you, execute orders faster then you, have their units move faster then you, have their units be more powerful then yours...It just stops being fun.

@Emrule No... it isn't a fair point. To begin, this is a sequel. The gameplay mechanics reflect what the original was. That's a given. Secondly, give some examples. You give absolutely no credence to you "point" is saying there are so many games exactly like this one. Name some, and let us decide whether or not it's a fair point. You saying so says nothing. Down'd.

This game is so unoriginal, I bet you can find atleast 50 games like this. You can even get better ones, but this is a good try. Don't down this, its a fair point.

While this is a great game, it's been done before many times. This game lacks a personal touch: something to make it stand out from all the other games just like this. Perhaps something like some planets give certain bonuses while taking away from something else. For instance, have a planet that boosts the rate at which units are produced, but it's easier for attackers to take over. Maybe even add a random black hole that goes around the screen, and if units happen to fly into it on their journey from one planet to another, they die. Now, don't get me wrong: this was a great game; however, you just need to add something to spice it up a bit.

I'm with others on not changing the AI. I love it! It's much more fun and challenging. It's fine though if the easy/normal mode has a tweaked AI. Hard mode keep AI the same!

firedragon, you retreat your troops a bit to avoid direct confrontation with yellow. You then take the teleporter as soon as yellow leaves it. Take the four castles and the other teleporter. Amass your troops to 350~400, put them on the teleporters. Send them towards the middle. VICTORY...

I've seen a few games like that, most of them was army-based. This game has a much way better atmosphere and gameplay than they have I think. Don't have to talk about graphics... But deciding how many spaceship to send can be hard sometimes. :D I'll also get for Android. Very nice game.

PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THE AI. I liked this game a lot because I had to find ways to outsmart the AI. Sometimes, I had to learn from the AI to find a good strategy.

Tip for the beginning: An advantage in numbers is a huge advantage in power. A fleet of 80 can take on several waves of 40 ships at a time, meaning that 80 ships on one planet could overpower 200 ships over several planets.
A tip for the final level: The enemy's gate is down.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Black enemy is too strong, obvious author tips on some sort buy2win upgrades but that model can work on iOS but on Android or Flash its receipt for fail. One star.

I really enjoyed the simple, but effective graphics. The music was beautiful, and it would be great if there was more "symphony" type music one could choose from. There are a lot of games out there similar to this though, so you may want to implement something different that makes you stand out from the others. Ex: Planets have certain upgrades (atk, def, speed ect). Something like that. I would still suggest to keep it simple, but definitely add that edge. :)

Great game! I probably won't beat it on hard mode, but medium is good enough for me :P It was difficult, but one of the most fun flash games I have played! Thanks guys! :D
