So I did the math. Power will be your most frequent upgrade as it increases profit 10% regardless. Gem chance, mystery upgrade and ultimate upgrade continue to be important later on. Money boost and exp boost decline in importance, click on statistics, if you already have a 1000% total boost the 10% increase doesn't matter much. Gems are worth 4 to 5 clicks, 5 when you can buy 100000 clicks, going from 50% gem chance to 51% is the equivalent of a (100+51*5)/(100+50*5)=2% increase in profit, so the price here should be about a fifth of the price of a power upgrade. Mystery upgrade is like a less frequent power upgrade, buy when they are about the same price. Ultimate boosts double your profit so are worth approximately 7 power upgrades, power upgrades increase in cost 23% each time, so buy it when a power upgrade costs about 12 times less than it.

You don't need more upgrades. You just need to change the formula for leveling up. I'm at lvl 105, and it would take weeks to level up at this point. Before the upgrades, my power was at 30 000, now it's at 3 000 000 000. It doesn't matter, because the level requirements are SO HIGH.

Needs more upgrades on the high end to keep up with the exponential nature of cost/exp req increase. Ultimate gem mine and multiplier were a good first step, but it's not enough by far. Removing the cap on base gem mine and autoclicks/sec would help, as would the suggestion from the comments about an upgrade giving a multiplier based on total (auto+bought) clicks.

i noticed on the gem mine when you upgrade from .18/sec to .14/sec it actually upgrades to .15/sec... not sure if it matters though. like the game overall.

@snzaqxswese auto-clicks does not provide gems, same with purchsed clicks. manual clicks benefit from Gem Chance, only the mine benefit from "ultimate gem mine"

No i give up!
lvl 132 and buying 100000 clicks moves the xp bar like 1 mm, if i just would idle this lvl it would take months.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you should decrease the xp we need to level up it's take too long i have already 1 day and 17hours and i'm only level 114

108,839 Manuel Clicks, 2,460,000+ auto clicks, 28,300,000 bought clicks, gems is where the real progress is at....lol

"and more than 5 hours on location 16." Once I'd spent twice as long on neptune as the rest of the game combined, and found I was less than halfway done with the place, I decided there wasn't enough upcoming complexity to make anything about this become more interesting. You can't just shove exponential and sharply increasing time demands without something more than the game provides now. Especially with money/exp upgrades being so, so worthless.

It's fine for quest 2 to take longer, it extends the length of the game. But it doesn't make sense at all to have quests 1 and 3 if they're so easy that they can be completed in a minute.
Also, perhaps a short game isn't so bad after all. Perhaps you could have "ascensions" where you can keep a portion of your upgrades and play the game over again.

Is it just me or is the Gem Chance upgrade useless? By the time we get it to a point with a decent chance per click the Gem Mine would have outdone it already.

I don't know if it was a glitch but at deeply underground I had 2.8 talents and I got the mystery upgrade that is for 5 talents and when I checked my talents menu I only have 5 talents. Is this supposed to happen?

this suffers the pitfalls of many old school idle/upgrade games. the cost per upgrade increases exponentially, while the upgrade itself increases lineally. 100,000 for gem mine x1, 100,000,000 for gem mine x2, 100,000,000,000 for gem mine x3. the first purchase is the most cost effective, then it gets progressively worse and worse. first purchases and upgrades come easy, mid game is a perfect waiting game with noticeable increases. then it takes a day to switch from million to billion numbers, and many days later to switch from billions to trillions.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
One thing i think might help would be better rounding when you change the numbers. The game will tell you that you have X billion dollars long before you actually have X billion. Not an instant ragequit, but a little frustrating.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be cool if your Number settings saved along with the rest of the game. That way you don't need to be chaning it every time you come back, and if you're in, for example, billions, it will stay that way next time you continue playing.

P.s. haven't seen it mentioned yet but if you hit tab, you can highlight the clicking area and hold enter in to rack up manual clicks fairly quickly. Becomes obsolete once you get auto click and gem mine maxed out and the first ultimate upgrades though. .

You should work on the mystery upgrades too because on higher level they aren't mysteries anymore. They gives the same things every time. You should do something like multiplying them after every 5th level.

Doin a fine job. Take sunday off, get some sleep. Watch some tv. Hang out with the fam. Come back monday, refreshed. Ready to tackle the balance issues and other fixes and updates.

If you think Mars is boring, wait till you get to Neptune..... my suggestion for an update is let the game work while it's in the background!

I don't like when an idle game doesn't idle, not only does it not keep going when I've closed the page, it doesn't keep going when it's not the active page...

You should change "Gather 1 qt $" in the achievements to "Gather 1 qd $". You changed the name of quadrillions from qt to qd and introtuced quintillions with qt, but forgot to change the description of the achievement.

I can hardly put into words what I am feeling for this game right now. To me, it looks like either the dev knows how to make a game, but has no clue on how to balance it and probably never played it long enough, OR, he's just that shrewd of a guy to put such a frustratingly long playthrough to kind of make you stick to the game even more. Though I'm more inclined to believe in the first option, as the cost to crafting are so ridiculously small that they serve no purpose and might as well not exist. The antigrav module costs 1 billion. My upgrades cost are in QUADRILLIONS, millions times higher. As of now, I have 50 million in effective power, a x7 ultimate multiplier, more than 3000% in both money and xp, and a hefty 180 gems per second. I have spent almost 20 million clicks, of which 18 were bought, and more than 5 hours on location 16. And I'm half way through the level requirements. Still, pretty addictive, just as expected.

Quests 1 and 3 are ussually nothing but quest 2 is frustrating ass hell and gives me carpell tunnel sorry if i miss spelled anything.

I really like this game...but I do wish there was an obvious way to see which of the 'one time only' gem upgrades you've already bought. :) Thanks for the great game!

I had to start a new game on the v2.1 update, but with the v2.5 update, it loaded my original game, which is great, but I wonder why it did that. The gem screen still doesn't show what is purchased, just like how the talent screen used to be. At level 137, EXP and money are crawling but with the Ultimate Gem Mine, I can crank out 100000 click buys much faster. All my other upgrades are sitting at around 76-1000qD. I did notice, not that it matters on Kong, that when versioning software, major releases are marked with the first digit and any minor updates are marked on the second digit. Major releases are typically your complete graphic/code rewrites for a piece of software. Minor updates, or subversions, are what you have been doing this whole time by fixing bugs and improving already existing features. But for being 18 and just starting out, you're getting there and have been learning the whole time. Keep up the good work.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A couple of things... 1.) When you get enough money it gets cut of so I'm not sure how much I have and 2.) There's probably more things than this but for auto-click and gem mine when you get to max cap it still shows what the next level give you which doesn't make any sense because it's maxed.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game completely stalls around level 110 and 33 achievements. Level 300 and 500 probably take months as the exponential growth curves are unbalanced. When the cost increases 20% for every 10% base power upgrade you get... it's easy to foresee how badly things bog down.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It takes way too long to level up even with a level 4 ultimate upgrade. I will spend over an hour just to level up once! It takes 3 quadrillion xp to level up from 121-122. It makes the game not fun and near impossible to progress to the next stage.
