Ok so lvl 14 SUCKS but it's not impossible, you just need to get lucky. You have to hope you get a long range attack randomly. Once you do copy that as much as you can. From that point on use your ranged fighters to kill him off 1 by 1 until you take over the long range upgrade. After that you can continue to pick them off 1 by 1 as they'll never attack you nor be able to reach you.
lvl 15 is IMPOSSIBLE however. 3 boss's??? 1 is long ranged and attacks you right from the start. The other 2 are armored and can 1 hit kill you. You don't stand a chance.

Units not given a job seem to have a hard time deciding what to do. I've watched a number of my bots just sitting there as they get hammered by the opponent. This is especially true on level 10 when they're all damage and range and are basically sitting ducks to the more nimble opponent. There needs to be a way to back off evolutions once they've happened. 3/5.

I think the best way to fix the "past pace" is a Nanowar-esque between battle upgrade screen. In each battle, your force is the same, but when you reproduce there's the chance of a new mutation occuring. At the end of a battle, you can splice these new genes into your starter bee. Over time, the enemy does so, as well (there should be multiple enemies, as well... blue, green, etc)

I cannot pass level 14. Any tips people? Them having an army of 20 bugs with amazing range and damage more or less from the start and a good sniping position for them makes it so so hard

I would like a screen at the beginning of every stage that lets you tweak your starter bug to your liking. You could create points or stats that you can earn or find in-game. I just think that the whole adapt thing is lost be how fast pace it is. But besides that it's a great RTS. I hope to see more from you! 5/5 and faved!

This has a great concept, but it breaks down in the later levels, becoming a ridiculous pile of chaos where your bugs just sit there going "Durrrr..." while you tell them to reproduce, move, attack, and win. Bad controls make it hard to do what you want.

Kyo1995 : bots with "sight" have initiative, when their target is destroyed, they begin shooting anything that is close enough instead of just sitting idle until you tell them to atack something

For those of you that complain about how the evolution system is too uncontrollable, do level 12 (for example) and just keep clciking to reproduce, dont watch what youre doing or attempt to influence it. youll notice after a short while most of your units will be armored or have high defense, because the ones with low def wont survive long enough to reproduce, which is the very basis of evolution. Hes made the system very realistic and interesting to watch/ play. good job brad.

would like to create a custom level, not only play custom levels given set from game because they are pretty dumb....

Level 14, Is impossible... To me at least, Like what the fck was he thinking setting up the enemy with 20 or so squares and a range modifier. Increases DAMAGE and RANGE... they capture all 20 squares in under a minute and you get overrun, And i don't understand the sights upgrade, its dumb. And this game needs auto attack on all enemies, Not just targeting, cause that gets gay when the enemy shoots all your bots and you can only shoot one, and they reproduce like fking crazy, Otherwise this is a 4/5.

A poison bot could be quite nice :D Or rather acid since metal can't get poisoned....To help against mass high attack and range bots

The game moves too fast for the breeding to have a point. Turn based would work better for the type of breeding system you are using.

Nice game, but I agree that the controls need work. Examples include the freshly spawned bots sitting on top of the 'parent'. The description mentions natural selection; perhaps an option to let the bots auto-spawn, with priority based off of a mix of age, hex captured, and damage dealt? I'd also like a menu with a single large buzz bot and sliders, so that I can see how each stat affects the appearance. Also, I approve of the idea for hot keys, such as 'select all'. Still, well done overall! Keep up the good work!

Seriously the sight upgrades are amongst the dumbest thing Ive ever seen. Why would I want them to auto attack enemies from far, when they are to weak and slow to actually do any good?

its an ok game BUT REALLY WTF dude we should NOT have to bear through level 10. THAT IS IDIOTIC LET ME SKIP A LEVEL OR 2 ONCE IN a WHILE
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok, this is just plain stupid: on level 11, there's spaces with "sight upgrade" in between my territory and the enemy-which means if i try to attack the enemy, all my units get turned into "sight specialists": able to see the enemy from far away (so they will auto-attack enemies), but with ZERO damage, armor, speed, etc! it's rediculous that i have NO control over whay MY OWN UNITS "adapt" into!

I would want a list for this game to show ALL the types of buzz-bots, it would also need an upgrade menu for the types AND health for the conquered hexes.

@DungeonMonkey: If you get to the armor quickly enough, it's possible to fight them to a standstill with fewer bees, or at least, keep a supply of bees that basically reproduce and die to get the AI's attention. This is done on the right side of the hole in the middle. Meanwhile, I sent a couple of bees around to the left side to attack hexes from their flank. Once you've taken out a couple of hexes this way, the AI quickly gets in trouble since a) you can reproduce more and b) the ones you kill while exchanging fire can't be reborn anymore.

at it needs: 1) Point and click instead of drag and drop. 2) Breeding menu that pauses the game. 3) Make it possible to have two bugs reproduce together :P but keep the option of just having one bug do it. It's like cells' reproducing :D - - (Note: These aren't all my ideas, thanks to people who also said this. Based it off your ideas). 4/5

Good game. It's nice to see as every unit is different one of another. The bad thing is that since the game is so fast paced I couldn't appreciate the evolution feature so much.
