To everybody complaining how to beat the bosses, just attack the one with the highest damage. Once you get in his radius he can't attack you anymore. The key is to reproduce all the time and send one or two to make new expansions while the others are dying and reproducing at the same time, i.e. distracting the bosses.

This game really should have zooming in and out, the scrolling is way too slow and paying attention on one group gets all others killed.

Finally beat it...level 14 is definitely the hardest. You want to send off the 2 groups round the edges, continually reproducing. This splits the attention of the long-range enemy. Then converge on their main group and with luck you can duke it out and win. Final boss is easier, just take out range first. As long as you have 7 or more attacking and replenishing you should win (I had 13 by the end).

I wish after we beat the game we could unlock a "super-mutant" with max everything and play through again without being able to reproduce. And a REAL level editor would be nice too.

this game is terrible you should feel bad for giving this achievements when there are thousands of games that truly deserve it.

I don't really like the game, I only play it for the badges. I'm just being honest, please don't dislike this comment.

The name of this game is "Adapt or Die". Basically it says a lot about the people who can't cope with the different controls... if you do not adapt to the game, you will die. It's just like real life in that sense. Tough luck that the controls don't seem "fair".. life isn't fair. Adapt or Die! win.

Stop crying about the drag and drop issue. It's a different type of control interface that is a challenge, and makes it not feel like every other RTS out there. Just because it's not as easy for your simple brains doesn't mean it shouldn't be a control mechanic. Just as your "bees" evolve, maybe you could evolve to learn a new way of playing.

Nice concept, but doesn't work too well when you have loads of units. Also, in a couple of levels I kind of ended up in standoff situations which was pretty frustrating. Still, it was fun for the most part.

Kinda good game, bad controls, some maps are just hard and you just reproduce blindly and I don't know how to finish the last level. All that makes it into a 3/5 for me :\.Sorry, I could have given you more if all that was changed.

the whole evolution mechanics don't work very well in a fast-paced game like this. theres too much going on theres never any time to look over your units and decide which ones to breed. The controls are also really bad, I should be able to just click on something after Ive selected a unit, not drag. This game probably wouldve worked better as a turn-based game where you would have more time and could be more strategic about your decisions.

Here's a fine example of how poor unit AI and unpleasant controls can quickly ruin a game. Not sure whether the BOTD was good or bad for the developer. One one hand, yay, exposure. On the other, now everyone knows how poorly they designed this game.

Awful commands. When there is too much units on screen, impossible to make them do what I want because I cant select the units and give orders at the same time ! Unplayable -> 1/5

You didn't actually release a game with controls this bad, did you? And who uses a lives-system on this sort of game? Sorry to tell you, but 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Would have been an awesome game if it weren't for the controls. If ever something like this were to be made again I would suggest adding a keyboard control. Like each unit getting assigned a letter or the arrow keys being used to scroll through the units. Or both. Of course difficulty should be increased a bit.

During the hard levels I would freak out that I was losing. Then I remembered that the enemies gate is down. Then I won.

Ugh, I wish I could put the different families in groups so I wouldn't have to keep trying to find the right ones. I also wish the levels didn't auto advance. Won a level, looked up , looked back down a min later and I was dead in the next level.

The concept, sound and graphics of this game are great. I would have loved this game. But moving/attacking is terribly awkward. Found moving multiple units virtually impossible. It needs a level restart button too.

Controls could use some work (click and drag really doesn't do it for games like these, having to select all of my units then drag them to a target is really inconvenient when in most RTS games you can simply point and click). Other than that, great game!

I can't get over the flight thing and can't get the badge. I watched a walkthrough and the guy I watched had a drag square yet I don't have one for some reason. And it won't let me drag onto the flight thing, does anyone know why?

I love the idea of this game, but its like a combat game that replaces the logistics of supplying bullets and food with breeding. 3/5 It needs 1) A breeding area that you can defend separately 2) A way to define a breeding program 3) A way to command multiple fighting units. It is too tedious (and frantic) to tell each unit when to spawn and where too fight in real time. The breeding strategy gets completely lost.

Well that difficulty escalated quickly. I mean Hard Controls + Later Levels (or better yet, Level 15) = Big Frustration.

I just can't get over the fact that you sabotaged an otherwise enjoyable game with this control system when a simple "click target to make the selected buzz-bots move/attack" approach - as RTS games had been using for well over a DECADE before this was made - would've worked so much better. I can't count the number of times I misclicked and gave orders when trying to select buzz-bots or vice versa.

Also I have a feeling that the units always spawn with their noses pointed upwards... Needs to be verified yet, but if so, you can use this to your advantage...

I used coldman10's strategy to beat the game: As the first egg spawns, command it to take over the next hexagon. By doing so the hatched unit will conquer said hexagon soonest and you can yurn your attention to the other units conquering other squares. Basically you want to spawn as many units to conquer in all directions at once. Keep one unit safe. When conquering begins to stagnate amass your forces on the bottom most boss (long ranged one). Taking him out leaves more of your units alive. Keep advancing and take out the flying boss (lowest armor). Keep advancing and amass your units on the armored boss. I found it easier to move units *onto* the bosses and spawn right there to take these mofos out fast. Keep alive! =)
