14 mill build which doesn't require much effert to get or even maintain. No risk of a meltdown and very cost efficient. If any have a good / better build, share with the rest of us :) Mine looks like this, can't go higher than Double Seaborgium Cells with the current stats on things and my current upgrades. got to the 4xtorium cells, i could place 4 of them apart and basically get no heat. when i placed 2 together: BOOM!!!! instant Meltdown. :(

A pause button and the reactor plating is useless now. Put in one maybe 2 ultimate's then fill part of the screen with basics because you get the 1% boost from them as you do with the ultimates. Also the nuetron reflectors should cause a decrease in the duration of a fuel cell due to increased reaction speed

Lol whatever change the dev do or doesn't do, there will be people complaining... Being unable to get rid of fuel cells was really annoying, but the game also seems easier now that you can sell them.

Unfortunally this game, which is a nice game by itself, only fosters the common misunderstanding, that nuclear reactor in some way "magically" turn the radioactive energy into electric energy. No it does not. The one and only thing a nuclear reactor does is producing heat. This heat produces steam which is thrown trough a turbine to produce electricity. Its actually pretty mudane. So all this "produces X power and Y heat" stats are fully non-game-mechanicswise nonsense

I like the new balancing. However: the heat plates now give 1% bonus to the vents no matter what rank they are. I think you should make it so that the lowest heat plate gives +1%, the next highest +10%, etc. Or something like that. It almost feels like a downgrade when I get to the next tear of heating plates, since 10 at the lower tier give +10% but one at the next tier only gives +1%.

An actually fun idle game! It took a few deaths to figure out what I was doing, though, and it seems like trying new strategies is so risky that I'm usually better off spamming the same compartmental design instead of something more complex.

Three suggestions: 1. Help menu needs more details, including examples of multi-cell packs next to multi-cell packs, reflector effects, coolant cells, and how heat exchangers interact with the reactor heat. 2. Interface needs to allow you to click on an item in the reactor, and see the heat in/out, number of pulses, power generated, pulses reflected, capacity, current heat level, and other details. As well as a top level total gross power / heat generation, before the subtractions for selling and dissipation. 3. Scaling issues; specifically, there is a point around third and fourth tier cells at which the reactor/reactor plating can dissipate huge amounts of heat, far more than any affordable heat exchanger or vent could handle without melting. Last comment, I'm having some difficulty backing out the equation for heat generation as a function of pulses (single cell is the square of the number of pulses in the cell, but multi-cell is less than that).

@junolau From what I can understand, if you have any coolant cells it's sucking heat out of those, and it's sucking heat directly out of the reactor, which is the heat bar that shows you how much heat there is.

Note: A power cell surrounded on all 4 sides by power cells will distribute heat into the main reactor, even if the power cells it is surrounded by are touching vents.

I just watched heat get passed in a loop of exchangers and cells while completely skipping the vents. Really not liking this update :/

Is it even remotely possible to sustain a Quad Nefastium Cell? Even with 4 batteries around it, can you get enough heat transfer from the batteries to not make it blow up? and cooling over the reactor... you'd need like half the map full of plating and the other half full of transfers, not to speak of the like 1000 vents to cool down 104M heat...

Hmm..Nah, too slow moving now for me to waste time on this game. You're going to hear that a lot about your game, so yes, you may have a nice game score but it's never going to be a truly popular game. I like it, it's not bad, but the painful amount of time it takes to "play"? Not worth it. If you can fix the amount of time this all takes, you'd have yourself a game more along the lines of, say, AdVenture Capitalist. As it stands, you have nothing for your end game. There's nothing to draw a player back, like some form of perk for obtaining X amount of progress. Be it measured in upgrades, the amount of money you've gained, heat you've dissipated, whatever.

When designing your reactor It helps to know that the single cells provide the best power to heat ratio, the quad cells provide the best power to space used ratio while the doubles are a balance between the two. This way you can get the most money out of your reactor based upon how much room and heat dissipation you have.

There's no 'sell all' button because in a jam you could press it to have no consequences for a meltdown except for the fuel cells. Everyone who plays this needs to make a mistake and click their asses off in a losing battle with the heat until they lose everything. I did it twice, and both times laughed my ass off.

Reactor insta blew up. Not even in a possible way. Sudden 5k/1k heat, all structures insta overheat and blew up. I know what you're thinking: "You did something wrong." And i'm telling you: "I did nothing wrong." I was experimenting with uranium sticks, with advanced exchangers and super vents.
And needless to say, due to uranium experimentation, I did not have a whole lot of $ by the time everything went instant boom. Going to be a long road to where I was, but it's such a serious issue and I won't dare to start the game up again until I know for sure it's solved.

So I spent many hours last night playing and kind of got addicted. Now it updated and feels like a completely different game. Nothing I do is that lucrative anymore, I can't tell how much heat I'm making and absorbing because the per tick calculation keeps giving me random numbers, and there's no longer and feeling of danger if I can just suddenly get rid of all the fuel cells and let it cool off.

Yeah, I'm only making a tiny fraction of pre-update amounts. Not so fun anymore -- I'd honestly rather play the last version. What was wrong with having plating vent excess heat?

Love this game!!! suggestion: make it so we can decide if a heat exchanger will 1. take heat from reactor 2. give heat to the reactor or 3. nether give or take. i think this would really help build more what we want. i am struggling due to wanting something to be self sufficient but keeps pulling heat and the other way around. things are giving heat when they dont need to give heat.

Latest upgrade ruined the game in my opinion. I left it on overnight, rebought all my stuff today, spending billions, refreshed to see if anything changed, and all my fuel was depleted. Theres really no reason to keep playing since the entire mechanics of the game changed, and earning money already took forever, now we can place less fuel and the game is less idle since you have to replace the heat dissipating parts as well. Was a good game, but this update ruined it entirely for me.

This game. Needs really, really much balancing. I put 4 seaborgiums around an ultimate heat vent. Heat they make = ~50 000k, and it cools down 57 000k. everything blew and i lost every single dollar i had.

Loving the game, just a couple bugs I've noticed: Heatsinks upgrades don't seem to be stacking. I have iron, gold, copper, and silver, but each plating I build only increases my vent effectiveness by 1% instead of 4%. Also my understanding is that quad cells should produce 4 pulses in adjacent cells, but it looks like they're only producing 1 pulse in adjacent cells. Thanks for the game!
