Aside from the shitty quests, can we also bring attention to the GOD AWEFUL type-setting used in this game? its almost impossible to read anything at a glance, what with the blocky minimal resolution characters, and the background which seems to have been picked just to make it even more difficult to parse what might be written. Serious QoL malus.

i think to beat level 31 you need to not upgrade any guys so you get all the quests then upgrade only once you reach it making sure to have +3 framing and +7 armor. i have imp plating and improved pipping maximzed and still can only get 1T cooling

paywalled at level 31 not sitting around getting 1.1qui at 500B per tick just to get another level which wont let me finish current quest

i got a bug that the ad chest timer says "18477,00,10,29 until next pack" all i did was load a save from 2 weeks ago.
why is that and how do i fix the timer

It'd be nice if I could manage staff while my heat was at 1% after shutting down. Heat cycling back and forth between the reactor and pipes makes things take quite a while.

More: Capacitors are pretty badly tiered. An entire ring (66) of tier 1 capacitors sells about 1k times less than tier 2 capacitor costs, the same ring of tier 2 capacitors sells 10k times less than cost of a tier 3 capacitor. This means tedium. Also, heat pipes are effectively taxing you twice per amount of heat eventually vented out, since they first move heat into themselves and then into vents, and some heat is taxed 4x since it gets moved back into the outlet! This was negligible in RI1, here it's a burden too heavy.

Really a step down. Waste heat should at least be contained, esp if you dev decide to make it be produced not just in cells but in vents and PIPES - WTF with the 90% second pipe efficiency? Show me pipes that do like this IRL! Next, since you are anyway limited to single power source, using quad/dual cells is strictly inferior to using single cells, due to waste heat. Perpetual ability is implemented poorly since you can only change staff while reactor is stopped, but it can't stop on its own (unless blown up) with crew with perpetual skill. Upgrading people takes some resources that are nowhere to get. You are overflowing with grants while can't employ em on anyone. Autosave works against you should you accidentally the whole reactor. At least blowing self up is fun. 3/5

Why would anyone spend money on an idle game that has no offline progress? This is a key component that people look for and you forgot or were too lazy to add it, dev.

Staffs are not Random They are set. I been reloaded and resetting over and over again. and Been getting the SAME Staffs with same effects and with no Slots or Upgrades. or anything. MAKE Level 21 Quest ( IE the have 6 upgrade Staff) Impossible without paying money....Worse game every, Im going back to Part 1.. its not as good but its free and there is no Road Blocks.

Hit level 21. and on Quest where I got have what looked like " Have 51x or 51% of Staff upgraded" Im not getting anymore staffs that can be upgraded and Im NOT spending money to get on with the game. SO WHAT THE HELL DEV How can I do the Quest now?

oh right, the important message: the cell will produce the waste, if the cell effect is 0, the cell will produce full of waste heat, if the effect is 100, it produce no waste heat, the waste heat will ignore the vent, so, the heat outlet will be very useful when the cell is producing waste heat, and, the outlet has a heat limit, if the heat don't goes out, the outlet will blast, cannot connect instantly by heat vent, you need heat exchanger to move the heat away from the outlet, and connect into a heat vent then

Perhaps make it so you need more experience for leveling up, but increase quest experience reward and make it so you can gain experience by letting cells run their course.

so, say a important thing: the power of nuclear fuel rod can produce more power when another fuel rod close to that fuel rod, but i will produce 2x more heat

Its just not fun. 1/5 Reactor Incremental was one of my favorites, maybe still is but the unbelievebly slow pace is just heartbreaking, the instant sell all power was satifying I cant believe even making money is now unfun. Thank you for your games none the less it is good to try new things, this one just a learning experience.

Can someone explain this? I have one of the things that takes 1 heat out of the reactor per tick, i have a heat exhanger, which says it takes 4 heat of the adjacent things per tick, and i have 3 vents which gets rid of 1.56x3 heat per tick, so, i have a double uranium cell placed with no vents near it so its producing 4 heat/tick into the reactor and for some reason the outlet is taking all the 4 heat/tick and not the 1 heat/tick it says it does which is then getting 2 heat per tick into the exchanger and not 4/tick which the exchanger says it can. TL;DR, outlet taking 4x as much heat as it should be out and my exchanger is taking half the heat it should. why???

It would be a decent game but the waste heat calculations are busted. The more 70% vent you add to an exchanger/outlet, the more rapidly the heat of the reactor grows, which should never happen. The 70% vent wastes way more heat then dissipates.
The waste heat feedback loops are crazy and should be fixed.

I would actually be willing to pay for the development of this game without micro-transactions and the underhanded tactics used to facilitate them.
The quests and other mechanics that have been added could be fun if they were geared toward challenging you not getting you to buy something.

This game is literally just the first one with "pay to win" features added.
As long as the first one exists there's absolutely no reason to play this one.

Waste heat mechanic has some definite pros and cons. It encourages players to use outlets and plating, but by practically forcing players to use them it could also make the game feel less flexible. Heat exchangers being able to move an infinite amount of heat between them makes them feel pretty nice, and it makes low tier heat exchangers useful before having the funds to upgrade them; however this is countered by the need for exchangers when using outlets, and with the waste mechanic outlets are no longer optional making exchangers a requirement to progress as well. There's some definite number adjustments that should be made to smooth progression. Something like a random quest system would be nice too. Understandably the first game didn't make much money and developers spend a lot of time making these games. It's reasonable that they'd want to monetize it, but too much reliance on monetization to progress ruins a game, as many others have said.

yeah 4 stars for being the sequel to my fav game and slightly fun but replaying a few hours of lost time isnt worth it to play this game plus im seeing a pay to win aspect so im dropping this game i might come back in a year or 2 to see what u did with the game

my local save was farther then my cloud save by leaps and bounds and the game asked me if i wanted to use the cloud save so i clicked it thinking i was further T.T atleast tell me the difference

Small problem: I can't purchase upgrades. I hover over them and I am clicking on them, but they stay them same and I don't get the upgrade points.

Quest make so you constantly need to change your reactor desing wich can be cool to make it less idley but not having money upgrades is a nightmare.

Incredible hard paywalls - the pay-item gives you permanent extra-items on each levelup........................................................................................
Without that you just have to wait like a day even for the low level generation quests, later it will be weeks.

I like the new game, but before you move on PLEASE add better saving to the original, Its really irritating. That's all, have a good time!
