1-16-19 Anemoi perk is bugged to all get out. The moment you have 4 Vents (Anemoi perk makes your vents, vent 300% more, if just 4 vents exist) in the reactor, ALL heat dissipation stops for everything, the reactor runs at about 20x speed until you remove just one Vent and then it all goes back to normal.
Additionally one of the overseers Segenet, that provides the "Dilation" perk (where you get one additional tick) is bugged. If you add him as your overseer, you can never leave the staff screen. The buttons simply do not work. The only way to "fix" this is reload from a save, remove all power generating items, disperse all heat, and remove segenet from your active staff. If you go to the Staff screen (even though it tells you that you can't change anything) while the reactor is running, and Segenet is active, you are stuck.

This is stupid, can't complete quests.
Only have 3 upgradable staff but need 6 for a quest and I don't have the mats to upgrade anyway.
Can't do the balance quest because some components are weak af and don't have any quests to get new more powerful components.
Next power quest will take over a week to finish.

ok so my thorium cell produces 6k heat says it produces 300 waste heat, a 95% efficiency so why when I build it do I start producing a little over 2k waste heat? that doesnt sound like 95% efficiency to me

I like that to advance in this game you have to solve a puzzle and figure out how pass the challenges provided. For me, green was cake, yellow was fans, blue was outlets to fans, pink was pure armor, and red has been a coolant build. I am almost to purple, and i am wondering what it will have for me.

@Critical Jim I am not sure what level you have reached, but I am at level 28 and never found a need to complete that quest. The other 2 quests have given the XP needed to level up.

I've reduced my rating from 5 to 2 stars as I am stuck for days with the upgrade 6 people quest. its impossible to complete on my last 2 resets. loved the original game, this one needs some rethinking

@SemperFi87 IF the Uranium Cells are next to eachother it increaces their heat by a bit, if they are spaced out they might not have that problem, Along with having to deal with the Extra waste heat, having the cells next to eachother could be the reason in which the Vents explode

This game makes no sense... I got 3 uranium cells and 6 heat vents, should equal to 0, but somehow one of my heat vents keeps exploding...

Actually I managed to crack it using staff. I want to echo what others have said on re-spec for Upgrade Points. Someone else on chat was working on the same quest and seemed blocked because of his Upgrade Point decisions. It is really bad design to force us to give up all our money just to re-spec. Many games have a prestige feature where you trade current progress for a permanent benefit. This is like doing that, with the only benefit being re-spec on points you've already earned. That's a very large price to pay for that. Please consider either (i) lowering the cost (something like half your current purge value) or (ii) adding some other benefit to make it worth prestiging.

Has anyone completed the quest where you have 18 dolorium cells plus equal number of a bunch of other stuff? I don't see how it's possible with T4 plate.

Loading has an error where it does not save/activate circuit bonus. As it does not, it requires replacing capacitors that should have it. Not sure if repeatable for other bonuses that require adjacent parts.

I like it so far. I think people need to be a little more positive, as the game will improve with development iterations. Doesn't make sense to compare an early version of a product with the final version of another product.
Though I did run into a save bug that killed 24 hours of progress -- a real enthusiasm killer. "your local and cloud saves are in conflict" With no way to see which save is which (or to change my mind) I lost a ton of progress.
Still, keep plugging away and I'll keep looking for broken stuff.

There really should be a toggle to turn on and off the perpetual skills. I understand (sort of) why you locked staff while the reactor is running, but the perpetual has to be treated differently.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There is a quest to generate a certain amount of power from a cell with only that cell in your reactor. The second rule (only that cell in your reactor) doesn't actually work - it just looks to the most recent cell that you placed even if you have dozens of cells in the reactor.

"Have 6 upgraded staff members"
I'm resetting and not even getting six with room for upgrades. Is this forced cash shop?

I think this is a worthwhile sequel to Reactor Idle. I haven't hit the pay-walled stuff, and like anybody who plays free games am dismayed by the for-pay stuff. But I understand that you deserve to make money as well!
The power-selling balance seems off. Most of my map is selling units. I think the waste heat mechanic is interesting. The staff management is odious, and having to shut down the reactor each time you make staff changes is annoying.
That's it for now. I hope you keep tweaking it as you move forward, I was excited to see this in my feed!

Unbelivable how someone can make good thing, and after everyone ask him to do new thing, same but little better, he makes shit instead.

There are some issues. Like others have noticed, perpetual doesn't always work which is very frustrating. I received a quest to generate 140m bonus heat per tick using reflectors, which is fine, but I've had it sitting around for a while because I'm nowhere near that amount in my total reactor yet, let alone able to handle bonus. These need to be thought out a bit better and reordered. I'm sure I'll get there eventually, but it makes me feel like I'm missing something pretty big when I can't fit enough of anything to vent that much heat yet. The game doesn't always respond to click. I'll select something then go place it, but oops, it didn't REALLY select the vent and I accidentally placed another reactor and blew up my entire place due to massive head overages. It also lags pretty hard from time to time. I do love these games, so please keep updating so we can keep enjoying it.

After a first look, it seems waste heat needs a tuning.
Maybe instead of being inefficient at a flat rate, inefficiency could increase logarithmically as heat approaches capacity of the device. If waste heat is going to be treated as a different resource (albeit one that converts to regular heat), there needs to be a way of dealing with waste heat that doesn't produce waste heat.
That aside I retain my original suggestion that the game needs directional heat piping -- moving heat away from heat sources, to dissipation sites rather than balancing heat between connected components. Maybe something like a coolant tank, piping to transport coolant to and from heated components, and a condenser to remove heat from coolant.
The game is a great start, and I'm sure it will be better in the next few iterations.

I think i have created some kind of "perpetuum mobile" - double cell(lvl2) is recharging itself whole time its already over 15 minutes since i put in this one and many basic heat exchangers(lvl3) around it, 3 basic heat(lvl2) vent and one basic heat inlet(lvl0)

what a stupid game, vents not powerful enough, can barely do anything with the 5th tier let alone the 6th. Plus, no prestige system, and this whole missions thing with next to impossible missions that would take forever to complete. No thanks, goin to another game
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Everything was working fine, I saved and reloaded the game the next day, and then BAM!, all of my heat vents exploded one by one.
Any ideas?

I really like this game and especially the quest system, save for a single aspect: the pay/time/luck wall. while its not as bad as many games, there's definitely a flaw behind the most basic progress mechanic, levelling. XP only being gained via quests and some of those quests being specific workers that are totally luck based for free, or otherwise gained with money or free boxes which apparently don't work for me as it says there's no ad's available creates a massive problem. a quest wants me to have 6 upgraded workers and so far out of the roughly 20 workers I have gained only about 3 of them are even capable of levelling and one of them I already sold cause the skill was useless to my play style.

Should be called "chernobyl simulator" because it captures perfectly the feel of a reactor that is dangerously overtuned and operating constantly at a percarious equilibrium. Unfortunately because waste heat is generated by attempting to remove waste heat, any system is prone to hazerdous positive feedback loops that destroy all your hard work. 1/5 because it's obviously imbalanced and unplayable past the midgame, plus heavy monetization.

I dislike the fact that the quests essentially force you to use all the different types of features; not only that, but you don't even really have to use them that well. The genius of idle games is that, when your player thinks they're progressing too slow, they'll naturally shift their build and experiment to see if there's any way they can go faster. By forcing the player to swap between strategies every five minutes, even if it's just in the early game, you're forcing them to rethink things that already functioned just fine. If you don't want to introduce new quests, at least make a way to gain XP that isn't gated by content. As it stands, I'd rather go back and play the original now, but I'll play this one for an hour or two more to see if there's anything I'm really missing. These are just my first impressions of the game.
