The terrain is messed up. sometimes i collide before hitting the ground, and sometimes i go inside the ground without colliding.

I love the concept, look and feel of this game. I would play more often except that there is such a huge disparity between the nearly-stock cars and the heavily-equipped cars. Sometimes I'm dead before I was even aware I was being fired upon, and some cars I can barely scratch. Better equipment should provide and advantage, but not overwhelming superiority. When there are more players perhaps there could be a division by cost or something.

Thanks once again to the players who alerted me this morning that the networking state sync broke after the last update. Everything should now be fixed. On a side note, neon glow body kits are now available in the store :)

On the "Fastest" and "Fast" quality settings, the terrain quality is lowered which make collisions between the car and ground less accurate. If you would like to get precise terrain collisions, manually increase your quality by clicking on the middle button above the chat (to toggle auto-quality adjusting on/off), and clicking the right [>>] button until your quality setting is "Simple" or higher.

Check your firewall, many times it blocks connections that are necessary for multiplayer games such as Carbon Combat. If your firewall is not blocking any connections, chances are that the host's network setup is configured in such a way that restricts outside access (basically they have a bad setup ). Try find another server to join, or create your own and invite your friends!

FrotenToaster- Awesome game! I hope more people start playing soon. Two things to take a look at; One, the "Flip" button comes up for me when I 'fly' for more than 10 seconds or so, and stays 'till I land (I was playing in IE). Two, I would prefer the flying to be a toggle rather than holding a key... Maybe there's an option for that and I missed it. Great game, 5/5! Very fun, no lag for me.

Jp, maybe you could switch to a Dell 2010-11 laptop and have a better chance of the Unity webplayer doing what it's supposed to do? Oh, and if you're on a Mac or have Linux, forget Unity and go back to Shockwave or Flash.

Add a single-player campaign, even a small one. That way, people who DO come will have something to do, and thus will wait. This way, lots of people have a chance to be on at once.
Have you ever played the game Aces of World War 2? Its another game on this site very similar to this, except with 3D planes instead of cars. What they did to get people to stick around was add a practice/skirmish mode, which let you hone your skills against customized NPC oppenents. Sure enough, it worked, and now theres almost always people in multiplayer. I believe the same could work here.

For a browser based Unity game it overachieves a bit too much, as the game lags a lot. Now if it was an application based game, and had optimized graphics DB, it would be really cool, as I would definitely play it, as it stands now, I give it 1 of 5 stars, otherwise it would be 5 of 5 stars. If I developed it, I would've done over the graphics engine, using Open GL, or dx9 (10 is still too buggy), Unity is not the way to go, with this game.

2) Use Mozilla Firefox instead of your usual browser. Firefox doesn't cap the frame-rate and max CPU usage of the Unity Webplayer as dramatically as other browsers such as Chrome and Safari, and thus lets the game run at close to full speed.

3) Put your browser into full screen. Most modern browsers (Firefox 5, Google Chrome, Opera) have an option to put the window into full screen. This lifts many of the CPU and framerate caps associated with viewing embedded Unity Webplayer content.

Seems like you're having problems loading the forum in the iFrame embed that Kongregate uses for the webplayer. The bug reporter seems to work fine (as does the forum) - try emptying your browser cache and clearing the cookies. The lobby chat won't work in the webplayer due to the Unity security sandbox. It will work in the standalone version once I release it. The laser sight is, well, a laser, so aiming towards the sky during the daytime will make it contrast less than during the night.

I hate to be a hypocrite, but the bug reporter is just a link to this page, and i haven't seen carbontech in chat recently, so i can only mention bugs here. 1: bug reporter link broken (duh) 2: typing b in chat releases bots 3: evening sun and daytime sky cannot be aimed at with the missile launcher, as the laser sight becomes invisible, making it impossible to tell if you're on target 4: lobby chat won't stop loading 5: the "forum" is a black to blue gradient 6: the game is woefully underrated

Coconutface: unity is a plug-in that doesn't need to be 3-D.Iit is used by tons of devices, namely the iphone and associated devices. it's graphical capabilities are amazing for a free flash player. stop spamming the comment section.

Idea: add a "shocks" upgrade that makes it so you don't spin when your wheels are uneven, or go flying when you hit a bump.
