Very enjoyable TD variation. I managed the final bosses (on hard at least) by building several upgraded solar stations in the back, an array of missile shooters, all upgraded once, a few upgraded three times, then an array of pulsars fully upgraded to stop the missiles. Out in front, a solar station, not upgraded, to which I attached a bunch of energy relays. The boss will target the inexpensive relays as long as you keep building them in front.

wow. i just lost a 45plus min mission cuz my thels (5 of them) failed to target the motherships, instead targeting their fighters.:(

Monkeybox, are you sure you had enough minerals? Missile launchers consume minerals rather than pure energy like everything else.

Well it's kinda silly to have your existing defenses stop while you try to build more. If you can't build while lasers are firing, that just means you didn't have enough power and/or were trying to build too much at one time.

Losing a mission because your solar generator were pumping energy into your lasers and leaving a whole array of missile launchers stopped is... unnerving. There should be an 'All Lasers Off' button.

Merlon, move your start position to the left, sell then the starting solar panel, you will notice that the enemy comes in clockwise, once you defeated them at 3 at mostly from 6 o clock, you can expand freely to the west mining what ever is there, while fighting them of coming from 9 and 12 o clock. When at 12 o clock I was finished with the task.

http://www.hollandhicken.com/mother.jpg didn't do it for me, sorry. I like the idea of having a central spot.. but your repair drones lean on one side or the other, letting you get ruined bit by bit. I prefer a triangle pointing down, with emphasis on a few THALs and a whole lot of repairs behind a solar panel that'll hopefully get targetted.

fair warning, my supership killing might be a little time consuming with all the pausing and recycling and rebuilding...but if you follow how I did it, it's a guaranteed win, likely without losing a single turret

its easy to win by surrounding the thing your protecting by making a pentagon around it out of solar stations and spamming laser turrets around it, 3 - 5 turrets per solar station, if you need more firepower make more solar stations and repeat. Also include 2 - 4 energy deposits.

My same setup worked for the final mission on Crazy too - although there was a lot of recycling to gain the funds for the missiles...just got to do the lower levels now!

I will enver finish the finish all the mission badge, unless i do it in one sitting. Everytime I leave and come back game is reset. It only happens for this and the first one. All other games on this site save my progress.

It's a pretty good game. I keep coming back for more. The only problem: in the branch missions, I make an awesome defense only to have it be gone by the next level. Can't the next level in the branch levels be a continuation of my previous efforts and not a whole new level?

Honestly, Not bad. Quite a bit harder than the usual game, even on normal mode, but still fun. It appears that missiles are much stronger than the other weapons. 5/5, (would have been 4/5), but any game that keeps drawing me back deserves a higher rating)

In the Miner's Guide to the Galaxy Badge description, "167" is in and of itself, a reference to H2G2. 1x6x7 is... well, if you're a fan, you know.

Finally got the hard badge, not even going to try the impossible though (I'm not that good, unfortunately). Great game, especially the later levels.

yeah but THELs cost a lot more and drain a lot of energy...every mission I've used a lot of missiles for big ships, the game gives you plenty of extra minerals

THEL's don't need reloading, Orakio. The 5 mineral/missile cost isn't too great if you're on a weapon mission
Having said that, if you build pulsars far away enough from the gate, they actually can target motherships. I managed to beat the first weapon mission with just pulsars (Felt so stupid after so many failed attempts with THELs and Missile turrets...)

@ waseem, I think the opposite...have posted screens in past comments of how I did weapon and supership missions, and never used thels...pulsars are great for taking care of missiles and close ships, and missiles for motherships
