lol this is now an idle game, just sit and watch the box collector shoot since it has infinite boxes to collect. its kind of enjoyable to just watch

The latest update is absolutely fantastic for moving through levels quickly! Suddenly, I'm able to reach a new level with every other shot, and I'm gaining boxite like nobody's business. Unfortunately, my collector is completely overwhelmed. I'm on level 162, and it's still collecting from level 156. Can we get a second (and third, and fourth, and fifth) collector, or the ability to collect with the mouse, or the ability to collect all with the click of a button, or an upgrade so the collector can collect several at once?

Another thing about that Boxite Collector that makes it extremely slow - it just runs chaotically here and there, picking a random boxes - stop it, just let'em just collect EVERYTHING from left to right
Well, he picks the boxites ordered by drop time, picking them by proximity doesn't fix the problem when there are too much of them. Anyway it's the next feature I'm fixing. Thans for the comment!
Well, in the beginning it was planed, but for the moment the time doesn't affect to the game statistics. But in a future there will be upgrades affected by time elapsed so... This goes directly to the backlog. Thanks for the comment!

3.-All boxites are collected together when die/selfdestruct
4.-Boxites not collected are destroyed with the explosion (it was the original approach, but there existed an upgrade to give velocity to Boxite Collector, but in early game this upgrade is not so desirable, so I removed it)
What do you think is the best option?

Another thing, when you can wipe waves easily, the floor is covered by boxite but the boxite collector can't catch up. The time he collects 3 boxites i already drop 20 more. Can't it collect all those at once when we selfdestruct/die?
Yes, it can be done, I only wanted to justify all the game mechanics, I'm studying different behaviors:

Explosion cost upgrade seems bugged, it increase by 1 boxite each level. Plus I never saw what it does... There is a typo in prof lines with "explosiòn". The Handicap is a nice addition, but it's also kinda unclear. Can't it be toggled on/off?

Coul you notice a better gameplay if I remove the Handicap?
The only thing it does is launching new waves if your damage is higher than enemies life(limited till they reach the professor window). From my point of view if I remove it the game turns a bit slower... Don't you think?

I would like to shoot for myself the amount of balls I buy. To only shoot once and wait for some balls is not satisfying. but I like the game as a whole

My problem is that there are like 500 of the boxes on the ground and he travels the worst possible path back and forth to pick them up. He either needs to be much faster or pick up the box closest to him.

While I think the game could use a few tweaks, knowing that the dev is trying to constantly update it and fix issues is reassuring.
Yeah, I made the game that I would like to play, and I'm treating to iterate over its development to make it better. Thanks for all your comments, they help a lot to follow a direction on new features
Yep, the Boxtroids studied human culture to show faces that would result scary to us (bad guys usually) (even when they are adorable like Meowth!) Every Box try to represent a bad guy avoiding copyright infringements. Those Aliens have their tricks!!

oof, I bugged the higher stage upgrade to go down instead of up. My options are "stage 0" for 0 box or "stage -1" for 0 box. Currently at stage 0.

Indeed, as allready noticed by a lot of people, the bullet shooting box collector makes game a lot, lot slower, especially when the damage it deals is neglictable compared to your canon. Meaby an option to turn it on/off would be easyest way?

Two upgrade suggestions to make the game move faster
1: wave skipper; instead of a new wave adding +1 to the last wave it can be upgraded to +2 or +3 up to +10
2: Multi-drop; if there are no boxtroids on the screen then instead of them moving down into just the top row, up to 5 rows are filled.
It can get tedious when you have a lot of upgrades but it takes literally hours to get to anything that's even nearly a challenge.

It's not a huge deal, but almost every time I come back to this game I get gifted another 20-30 upgrades. It doesn't change my game or anything, but the number of upgrades it says I have goes up. Last night, I went to bed with 163/94. Today, I'm starting with 183/94.

Something happened and my starting stage upgrade went to 1 and 0, I HAD to see what happened so I clicked on 0 and then it gave me 0 boxites from the enemies. Then it offered me stage 0 and -1, and yeah... honestly loving it though otherwise. May have to restart

It needs an Autofire and it needs to be able to keep running when loses focus. I have 101/94 upgrades, is there a point to keep playing? If I leave an autoclicker on overnight, will I miss the endgame that I keep hearing about? You should be able to check the cost of upgrades without having to end your run. It desperately needs a mashable "next wave" button. I haven't died all day, but I keep resetting my income rate just because I get bored and decide to buy something, anything to change it up. I can't see the tops of the numbers either; my resolution is 1600x900.
I have planned an infinite mode but it's still on development, and for this would be nice to let the game run in background.
About the resolution the game if planned for 1080p, but if you set it to fullscreen you should see the full game area.

It would be really great if higher levels included a greater average number of boxes per line. By the time you reach midgame, it's simple to destroy 1 or 2 boxes at a time without any effort. When it's line after line of 1 or 2 boxes, the challenge is mostly gone and it's just a grind. By the time I've reached lv 70, I've started purposefully trying to miss boxes just to make it interesting.

Can we get a "bring the next line" button that lets us work on multiple lines at once? Killing one block at a time is REALLY slow. Also, another vote for the box collector shots not stopping the game.

You can't shoot while bullets are on the screen.
Which is fine as a gamemechanic.
But since that also counts for bullets shot by the boxcollector that means if I just had a streak and shot many boxies down (fun), I have to wait several seconds until the boxcollector is done blocking my next shot (not fun at all)

The values and costs of the "Boxite collector shoots after collection a boxite" are a bit messed up. The values I'm seeing are "BoxiteCollectorShoots_value_5 >> BoxiteColletorShoots_value_6" The recent costs were 2>>3 cost 2, 3>>4 cost 1, 4>>5 cost, and 5>>6 costs14,787,560. (Unless my memory if failing me.)

it's nice the blocks say how many hits they have left, but the top row of blocks have their value off the top of the screen. when new blocks show up I can't plan my attack as well. Also had to shrink the play field by 20% to get it to fit on my laptop. always a pain

Hey!, now I understand, your laptop resolution maybe less than full HD, in this case you can set the game to Full Screen in settings, then the screen will shrink to fit your probabli 720p resolution.
Well, is not a solution, but you can see the actual life of the top boxtroids in the Stats for Nerds screen, in the row "Boxtroids HP in level". I'll note this for a future release. Thanks for the comment!

My little collector truck shot and broke the last block, but no more advanced until I shot again at an empty field. Not a fan of the bounce killing you until you buy the shield either.

And yes!, the balls killing the ship is kind of a trap!, but you can solve it in 2 or 3 runs and buying the Barrier which costs only 400 boxites.

This game is fun and I want more! I want it to get expanded. Please. It's excellent.
The endgame needs work. I'm on level 293. Nothing interesting has happened in many, many levels. I'm just too powerful. 5 streams of balls, 24 balls per stream, 10.5 damage per ball. It almost doesn't matter where I shoot, I just wipe everything out. At some point, it will get hard/interesting again. However, I think that will take at least another 200 levels, which is 2,000 clicks. Too much. Plus I can afford a scrillion bombs.

The rebound is actively detrimental in the early game, and the "fix" of the barrier becomes a chore to unlock when you can't do the 2 block "trickshots" to clear faster and get more boxite. It's faster to restart the game and unlock the barrier before ever buying the rebound. The mechanic would be interesting if there was any way to avoid the shot, but since you're a sitting duck it just becomes frustrating and absolutely not worth it.

I was taken aback by the bounce too, but it wasn't too hard to find the barrier and buy it. I had the info that the bounce could kill you before buying it (in a speech bubble), just didn't really want to believe it. I found the whole thing (surprise of the autokill, different type of aiming for a while, buying the barrier) well thought by the dev...
I'd like to add more upgrades with side effects that can be bad or good depending on others upgrades, but avoiding to frustrate the player, I'll keep an eye on players reaction, I'm also open to new ideas to add to the game. Thanks for the comment!

Yeah that bounce upgrade is really more of a downgrade lol. If I had known earlier that it would destroy my cannon I wouldn't have bought it. Guess I'm done with this game.
well, it's a upgrade with some negative feature, but in 2 or 3 runs should be easy to get the money to buy the barrier. Anyway I'll consider to remove this feature.

I've fixed the currency winnings in order to get a more challenging progress and now you need to select carefully which upgrades to buy first.

Buying the bounce upgrade basically destroyed me. Suddenly, I couldn't shoot at the blocks anymore, because the rebound would damage my barrier. I had to try to do trick shots for everything. Which resulted in no longer being able to get to as high a level as I had been. There's no reason for those rebounds to damage my barrier.
Well,its kind of a feature, but you can purchase "Activate Ball proof barrier" which protect your Boxtroyer from ball hits.
I've never seen that from that perspective, you are acquiring something that should benefit your gameplay, not detriment it.
Please check that the "Proof barrier is not too expensive for you that makes the game unplayable. other way maybe I should remove this feature and make the ship undestructible.

Somehow on stage two on the second day I earned 100000 bits. So then after upgrading on day 3 stage 6 I suddenly earned 600k I didn't reset to use the 600k until I gave up at stage 45. Then I noticed it would cost all 600k to get back to stage 45...that's crazy.
