I was under the impression that the Anglo-Saxons marched north to fight off the Vikings, and while they were up there the Normans landed. But hey, that's history; this is just a game :p I'm interested to see how this turns out :)

Great except, my guys run away just when I had it! I was winning by 20 points, then BOOM! I had 6 and they had like 38

one of the best games ever... a couple problems. Morale system is inaccurate and unrealistic. for example, my men wouldnt run away in real life if they just won a battle. when the king dies, too much morale is lost, i agree, it would have a great effect on the men's morale, but would not cause them all to flee. second, the cavalry are too weak, they run too easily, they die too easily, and theyre attack power is not great enough to make up for it. Great game other than that, please make a sequel and fix these problems. 4/5 despite all that. sign here if u agree. conz680

Taunts are holyshitpowerful. I just won with king rank with ~2000 lost, ~2000 killed, and ~2000 scared away by taunt spamming (51 taunts total). Still a cool game and an awesome concept, so 4/5. Also, @Thor: The graphics were beautiful, tbh, and if you spent 5 minutes in the tutorial, the game was simple to understand.

Dislike the taunt system, PC always gets brutal and I'm lucky if I get a good rating. Otherwise I liked it 4/5. Room for improvement.

morality was fun to mess with, i see some people saying they got out-flanked wen THEY went behind the enemy. let me guess....you weren't already attacking from the front. cause i didnt have that problem.only thing i didnt like about this game was it was so short.

This game is all right, but it's hard to tell what the order of battle is. Also it doesn't tell you outright whether you can actually attack a particular unit or not, making it into a trial and error game. I just want my guys to go and hack at those other guys: tell me if they can or can't!

good game, but these are pathetic taunts. How on earth could an army take a morale hit just by being called a coward? At least make something more original!

When Charging Near the end of the first battle My shield wall with middle troops scared ran away while the rest kept charging past everything past Infinity. I'm guessing there was never a response script command for if the shield wall breaks up while charging?

Okay, a pretty good game, but so hard and it takes such a long time for the battles to actually end. Good concept, though. I give it a 3.5/5

Brilliantly done. Great GFX, SFX, gameplay, style, everything! I really did like this game a lot. Congratulations to the programmers! This game deserves some good recognition. 5/5!

I was wondering when this would show up here! This is fantastic, but very challenging. To win as the Vikings takes a good deal of know-how and a whole lot of luck. The reason why it isn't longer is that it is meant to focus upon one moment in history: The events surrounding the last Norse incursion into England, and the Norman invasion which followed later that year. As one who has studied this era extensively from a military perspective, I feel that it represents the warfare of the period fairly well. Archery is not terribly effective, and unit morale is shaky and prone to break unless the unit is in a shieldwall. Realistic, unlike many wargames these days.

I thought it was a pretty good game. I ended up using the taunt a lot which ended up helping in the first two battles, but with the normans I just used knights and archers.
