Awesome game. Kind of short. Could have used some unit upgrades and cumstomization. Also more tactical consideration coded in. You can have a unit surrounded and get no bonus? Doesnt make much sense.

Also, units that are fighting can't taunt! Tie those units down! The game isn't broken, you just need to use alternative strategy (it's a strategy game you know). If a larger army would get a bonus on taunt you would simply introduce a slippery slope. A bad turn would lose the battle because there is no way to win due to morale.

Not paying attention in history class are we?
The viking's like to travel a lot, mostly to byzantine, and because Norwegians is tall and strong, they mostly got jobs as warriors.
And they were called Varangians.

I don't realy understand all the complaints. This is by far THE best tacticial flash game I have ever played. I think its just you guys, as I didn't get taunted away from the battlefield and beat the enemy using tactics. Also, don't bother to suround (unless there is an easy option for this, be wary the enemy can return the favour most of the time), charge, formation and propper use of archers can turn the tide of the battle.
The graphics and storyline/narration are superb too! Good job!

The taunt / moral mechanic in this game is broke. Too much is emphasized on the taunt so much so that an army that has an overwhelming majority on the field could be neutralized with two or three taunts from the other side. If you must leave this in, perhaps the effect of the taunt should be weighted with the total army strength of each side. Basically, taunts from stronger armies should finish off weakened armies. Taunts from weaker armies should have very little consequence to the stronger.

presentation is fantastic, and concept is nice, but it's way too slow for me, the morale and fleeing system is ridiculous and it's just not fun

Oh, and of course the vikings were well known for running away in terror having annihilated an enemy unit. They were very sensitive.

Why is it that you can only attack on the horizontal planes? I would love to be able to drop guys on my enemies. Also I haven't played the game to the end yet. But it looks like there aren't any calvalry units. I would finish but again, I need to be able to attack from the vertical planes.

Froze on computer's turn at the very end of the campaign... very annoying. The taunting feature is pretty lame. Good overall concept for a game. Had its moments. 3/5

Awful. What's the point in pretending to produce a formation combat game where none of it works? Furthermore, why bother pretending to have researched the units?

liked the game alot. Also pretty historically accurate :p well done Ch. 4! 4/5. all battles are unfortunatelly fairly simmilar even though there is a bit of variation.

arrows and a few sword clashes happened to fall into these mini games. Terrible control of arrows and the rest is nothing special.

Wait, I passed the first level, and now I have to play the first level again? L2autosave, noob. (And it is a turn-based game, SITEbassist. It's always paused.)

Amazing game, except for chasing down the last unit. He should just surrender. 7 morale, 1 vs 6. Instead I have to bring up enough guys to keep him pinned to even attack.
Would be nice to know how the initiative order goes. "High morale goes first, then alternate"?

Make all the moral stuff go and die in a whole. or make it so its based on ratio of one army to the other's troops. your people run away when your winning and when they win their fight? pure sillyness. but this is made by channel 4 i heard someone say so i doubt you care..
