i really should like this game and I would think i like it but its just wasnt enjoyable. i give points for styling and orginality but a few thing bothered me to much. the sound effects got so repetitive and annoying but its boring without any noise... the controls feel like to many clicks... the information i want isnt seem easily available... and im force to play keyboard guitar hero once every round.... all in, this game had lots of potential but didnt come together the way i would have like.

5/5, but two bad sides:
First, it's too short
Second, too memory consuming. 400 MB of RAM used by Opera after last mission and almost non-responding system at all.

1 - do away with codes and instead use saves. 2 - be able to pick a side to use instead of being forced to use them all. Maybe a strategic map? Otherwise it's a great game.

Boring with archers. I always seem to miss somehow, even thoughit's clearly showing their units being hit by my arrows.

everytime i enter into a fight sequence the time immediately cuts down from 20 to 10 seconds so that i'm lucky to have time for one button to reach the halfway point per fight

Innovative gameplay, that's for sure. It does take quite a bit to finish a battle though, so it does get boring after awhile. Nice theatrics, buuutt you need to stop repeating the full name of each king...it's a bit annoying imo.

This game is so well made, but it's not as fun as it should be. I did have fun with my first battle, but after the second I didn't want to try again. Anyway, very well done in all other ways.

Historically accurate, clean art, great sound, pretty fun gameplay, and didn't experience any of the bugs mentioned. 6/5

AI needs work. I built an army of entirely archers (except the one leader group you have to take), and the enemy just sat back for an entire round while I peppererd him to death with arrows, never charged at me more then one axe group.

one of the best concepts i've seen in a while but still needs work. more campaign battles and different maps would make this a 5/5 for me. didnt have any of the bug problems these other people were complaining about. maybe they need to buy a computer made AFTER 2000

Nice Interactions. Played few levels on hard. Taunting is annoying. Make it easier or remove it, at least on hard. Love charging and fighting. Reminds me of flash version of patapon - battlegrounds? Have not mastered archery yet. Like flash version of total war (fun but complicated). Potential to be a great 4/5- 5/5 game but would require a lot of tweaking and changes to make fighting less boring. The cinematics, voice-acting, and presentation were top notch. 10/10. And that's not even counting the Multiplayer.

defect: enemy units run off my side of battlefield and their move never ends. Please fix. Otherwise fantastic storyline and mix of strategy with easy tactics.

You are beeing ridiculous ChristinaRose
just because one minimal tactic aspect of the combat is limited you hate the whole game?
The game is great, nice graphics, nice history lesson, good execution on all fronts, i wouldnt even need to mini games to lighten it up.
The story mode is short, but hey, if i want more i hit the multiplayer 5/5

historically accurate, well animated, engageing with no horrible bugs, not always a fan of the minigame based strategy game, but the combination in this instance works exceedingly well, and the strategy elements are well thought through, not to mention being well executed, havnt tried the custom lvls yet but i think we're onto a winner 5/5

Its decent..I will give it that..but so much could be done to improve it..and it does have potential...Just build on this idea and I will agree the taunt mechanism is annoying..as is the key strokes for fights..especially when the game starts lagging a bit, much rather it be a random roll and see what happens than go that route again.
Overall..very nice game..stick with it.

I was on easy, had 2000, enemy 500(earl's guard way in the back). As I got closer they kept taunting, and somehow they taunted my overpowering force of the field. Absolutely terrible feature. 2 stars for concept

Its an ok game. I generally like turn based strategy games but this is way too slow for me. Having to taunt every turn gets tedious and annoying as does fighting. The only thing I mildly enjoyed was archery as it didn't take x amount of time really. I wish there was a more fun but still interactive fighting component.

The idea and concept get a 5/5, but this game is wayyyy too buggy. For example, one time the game created a "no man's land" where I could walk into, where an enemy was position. Because of that, he just taunted me into submission. 2/5

good game but your main problem is youre relying on history way to much so thats the reason its too short. make up a few battles as 3 is not going to be enough for people. always wanted to know who would win out of the vikings and normans...
