Athens, success on every single trial yet I still lost due to enemies? Not really something I understand, allied every single country except 1 so.. no reason to really get destroyed..

beat Athens on hard on turn 124 with all successes. It really comes down to getting some lucky events early. Probably tried 100 times.

gotta say if a game has a bug that forces you to use chrome and the developer endorses this work around instad of fixing it it's probably a bad game. (or at least lazy dev)
fix the game dev... just get it over with.

it seems conquering your allies during the unification quest makes them count doulbe. i was able to finish the campain that way before the last city even spawned.

As spartans, beat the game, hard mode, full score on Turn 90. Would have been turn 80, but I'd explored the whole of Greece and Miletus still didn't exist so I couldn't conquer it.
Start Rich Copper Mines and the law for you massively stronger military. Key is, on turn 1, dismiss troops for gold which gets you an ambassador you can send to Athens for 1k culture, which gets you 5 more techs. Then conquer the first city ASAP. Make sure you have enough builders to constantly expand your city, but you can completely neglect Culture. Taxes get spare techs/points when there are spare, but don't pay too much attention early on. Churning out military and then dismissing them generates Gold and Generals which is really good synergy. First exploration should be Crete and if you do things right, you'll be allied to both Athens and Crosus before the Persians arrive, whom you should beat.

Every building and technology has a spot that says "technology-" or "building limit reached" after you buy it. This implies that you can upgrade the building or tech, like in the stone age or bronze age games. Figuring this out wasted a lot of time. Either combine the two boxes or add in the option to upgrade.

I'm not sure of how to obtain "Civilization Points" in the Sparta campaign. I don't see the option for them in the Athens campaign at all, so I assume it's for Sparta only. When I had first checked it, I had 10 points and I used them up. Since then, I've beaten Sparta and Athens on all difficulties, and I haven't accumulated any more.

The tutorial seems horrible, first time it didn't even pop up so I restarted the game to make it work. Problem then was that there was what I assume to be the tutorial popping up, AND other random pop-ups with information which could have waited their turn. To top it of I couldn't do anything to progress in the tutorial (?) so I just x-ed it out and apparently that ended it. If the first 20 seconds of the game is this much of a clusterbum

Still not sure how to earn civilization points. I've beaten the game on both hard Sparta and Athens and haven't earned any civilization points.

disappointing ending, i lost because of deus ex machina turn limit.
please add a option to spend resources to get a few turns for those who want a slow long game instead of a race against a hard "you lose" screen.
in other words, this was fun enough where i want more turns

um.. heres a glitch: the game was fine, no lag at all when i played as athens, but as soon as i clicked sparta it started lagging a LOT. now i cant play, cant access the options to try and get rid of lag or do anything. i guess i wont be playing as sparta. if there are spelling errors in this, its cause while im typing this my sreen in constanly freezing.

athens is the easiest because of alliences. easyest way to win is to get as much gold as possible, because that gives you envoys. it isnt imporant to stockpile gold, just to earn it so that you get envoys. i won the games no prob each time i did this.tip: later in the game to decide who you want to ally first, just click on them and look at how much army they have, and ally the one with the biggest army.

So... turns out the Random Number Generator isn't totally random. Or rather, some turns are luckier than others. I had a turn where everything went "perfectly." All gifts were extra +1 relations, all cultural exchanges gave +1 scouts, all scouts found troops, all conquests gave war heroes. Suffice it to say, I got a total of 9 scouts that turn, gained 6 techs, and conquered 4 different nations. Woot woot?
