The game doesn't work. I am stuck at language screen and the solutions detailed at the steamcommunity link you provided did not fix it.

Are the win conditions listed somewhere? Or is it just conquer/ally all of Greece? I ran through the tutorial a second time and still didn't see it, and I don't see it on the help screen.

In that blatantly obvious manner of "we never ever tell you this", the option to retrain Generals into Envoys is in the Diplomacy menu. Pick a city, select Attack, and one of the options will be to Make Envoy (out of a general).

So the sparta game is literally impossible. Even with maximum army training you dont get 3 generals to take over the target city before the persians arrive

@flamewolf33: First you have to open the diplomacy screen, then click on one of the cities, then click "Attack", and then click the "Make Envoy" button. (What's that, you say? Taking an option to help establish diplomatic ties, and putting it in the menu that you use for planning invasions, is an utterly idiotic design decision? Nonsense!)

Take athens. focus on making allies. dont ever build military stuff. allies protect u. focus on population, then everything that increases population then trade. is actually fairly easy and straighforward

I finally beat all the trials along the way, surviving every attack from the barbarians to the romans, only to lose cause theres suddenly some arbitrary time limit for me to ally or destroy all the other cities when I havent even FOUND all the cities cause the game doesnt give you enough explorers -.-
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How the hell do you retrain generals to envoys? It keeps saying you can, but theres literally not an option for it anywhere!!

Whole lot of bugs. But a lot of promise if you can get them fixed. Good game idea, but you released it too early. I look forward to patches that make it playable. If you want a list of bugs (like roman expulsion), just check the comment list.

Loved it, doesn't seem quite finished though I'd suggest the following improvements: 1. Improve tutorial language (many mistakes) 2. Fully upgrading technology gives me...cheaper technology? Same for production - THERE IS ONLY 1 LEVEL 3. getting additional generals is not possible unless you repeatedly disband half your army 4. Alexander the great is luck based, would be much better if donating improved your % of the loot 5. Technology levels really limit choices, I'd rather see a more complicated tech tree that gives me some control. 6. the envoy/general should cap out and still gain progress if you're wasting production (general). 7. Please show me which perk I took in save menu. 8. Some builds don't give full increase stats (drill square, arsenal) in terms of how much it will increase your workforce.

In spanish you can't read some stuff like your tech level, the problem with accepting refugees or why buying land is never worth it.

The fact that I can't produce a general despite a maxed out military is strange... I hope the dev can fix this for future play

Another great game by ClarusVictoria. I recommend investing in growing your food and population limit as much as possible. Once you can start trading, make sure to keep an eye on how close you are to being rewarded a general, tech point, building, etc. Making choices on one level can have a multiplier effect if done right a few levels later.

Stuck after selecting language. Checked the instruction and install latest flash player but still same issue.
Not in a mood to troubleshoot further.
Checking other games.

In the first run I lost. In the second I could choose any of the win methods apart from conquering greece. Most important thing - go for population.

i cant banish romans once they've captured my city. I have won the battle like 10 times giving me 20% more army strength (so now I have super strong army because of the buff x10) but they still occupy my cirty and i have to pay them

Great Game!
Normally the interface works fine with me. But on the Diplomacy - Trade Screen the left most trade slider seems to react on the mouse even when it should not (when the mouse pointer is away from the slider and the mouse is not pressed). At the moment it seems impossible to reduce the trade on the left trade slider as it always comes up again due to this bug.

Couldn't get it working using firefox or chrome. Also tried all the solutions in the steam discussion thread. Firefox said something about Context3D. Chrome stayed stuck on the language screen.

it stuck on the language screen and no i will not look for a solution, after using computers for 25 years I am sick of fixing shit , make it work or get out
We suggest the solution how to fix the problem (check instruction section). Should we delete the game at Kongregate because the technology of flash is old and we can't fix it?

Using sliders to distribute your population and traders is the worst. If you want to actually properly manage your empire, you're forced to wiggle the slider around until it's at EXACTLY the right pixel. Also, if I had a nickel for every time the slider stuck to my cursor after I released the mouse button, I'd have rent taken care of for next month.

First run: lost on last turn but would have won if it let me make the 10th alliance instead of ending the game. Second run: EZ cultural victory as Athens on turn 120!!!

Dorian Invasion: Success, Persian Invasion: Success, Alexander the Great: Success, Roman Strength: Success. Defeat 20/75... wtf...

This timer element completely missed the point of Civilization. In Civ 5/6, you are trying to become stronger faster because the other civs will gouge out your eyeballs if you don't. I got 9 empires united, yet I still somehow managed to get stomped on by the entropic decay of the universe or whatever it is that killed me. It's just so inorganic and feels so much worse than losing because I can see that the enemy has a space empire vs my dustbin lid and wooden stick.
Speaking of which, throughout the entire game, every civ had double/triple/quadruple my army. Explain to me why I wasn't attacked? Was it perhaps because the civs around me are just decorations rather than actual gameplay elements?
This game was fun while I was playing but when I finally understood the point of all I was doing, I needed to kick a puppy to get the leftover bile out of my system.
We're sorry this game disappointed you, but we're not the competitor of Civilization, this game is just a small flash game. You can't play a game of Civilization scale in your browser, can you? We're a small studio striving to improve our games with each new project. Our last game, Predynastic Egypt, is much more complicated than this one. And in our next games, we do plan to make more interesting features, including other rivaling nations which will attack the player.

Buying land from another city gave me almost no population limit improvement (+5%). I don't recommend it. Alliances are much better.

I've won my freedom from the Romans twice now, but the little down arrows are still there on the left side of the screen.
