Game: 'Athens is easier'
Me: *Fails completely with Athens*
Game: 'Sparta is harder'
Me: *Completes Sparta with the best rating possible* "You were saying...?"

I remember the old game where you could easily assign pop to the various works (agri, production, science, etc) so HOW THE **** CAN YOU DO THAT IN THIS GAME? There seems to be lots of clickable options, except CLICKING DOES NOTHING!!!! The big green circles seem like you can click on them and do stuff, except clicking on them does NOTHING!!!!

It feels as if this game is only partially complete, like a bad port. I came across a handful of glitches my first time through, which I would have accepted from a brand new game, but this isn't a new game. It's a port from Steam. Even if it was a new game, the end game is said to exist (you know, rebuying buildings and technologies), yet I find no evidence of this, and even if it did it would be totally useless. I like this game (maybe the best of the series), yet these flaws seem easy to fix. Also, what is up with the Civilization Points for Sparta? Consumable points to boost a run? That doesn't need to exist. Make them be weaker permanent upgrades for both Sparta and Athens, and maybe then I'll accept them. Till then 4/5 Stars, good but if these flaws are in the next game, they won't be treated as lightly.

I followed all of the instructions; I waited for 30 minutes, I installed a new version of Flash, and I installed a new version of Chrome, but I still couldn't get past the Select Language screen. 1/5 stars for me

Time was running out. I had 2 turns to unify Greece! I decided, as Athens, I must conquer in order to bring peace. I had 3 more cities to go. I easily conquer two of them. The last one, I needed to all due to my lack of generals. I get my fourth envoy... and the game ends before I unify Greece. Top 10 saddest anime moments.

I followed the steps in the instructions but the game wont get past the choosing language screen :( I was really hoping to try it

I tried so hard to beat the previous games in the series and on my first game playing this one I won on turn 122. This is now my favorite game in the series

Two brilliant victories (both normal difficulty, one Athen, one Sparta) but I still have only the 10 civilization points I started with. What do i have to do to get civilization points?

@cats10000 easy mode is difficult? hmm maybe you need a better strat my friend. try some exploration and its really not that hard. i just tend to do production early for pop, then i do some sciencing and start making envoys. i also recommend to focus on one city at a time because when they become allies. they remain allies instead of doing them all at the same time which means they are all dropping at the same time.(relationships also cant go negative) And yes sparta is harder

I was at turn 160 and was about to get the last city when the game ended!? Can you just add a couple more turns? 20 would be good as it's extremely difficult (on easy mode!) to make envoys with the gold statue in time; Sadly as ClarusVictoria hasn't checked this game for ages and hasn't replied to a single comment. PS is Sparta really harder than Athens?

I've mastered Sparta on Hard mode but can't manage to win the Persian Invasion with Athens on Hard mode. I've managed to win every event afterwards but not that one.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
In Athens I think you should add a couple more turns. Then when you get the statue you have time to produce envoys for relationships. (I have attempted Athens 7 times now and failed)

Why does time pass so quickly? And why do we have to finish it in such little time? I know that you'd probably say because of history and such, but if you make another Pre - Civilization then at least can you give us a free-play mode where the same events happen but 1 day passes at a time and the story parts can occur differently randomly? It would be great fun...

The hardest part about Athens is the early game. On hard mode, it's essential to save up 2-3 envoys to make an alliance with Pella as soon as possible. Once that's done, you'll get 5K warriors that you can use to train as many warriors as possible. Note that making alliances only gives little perks; it doesn't actually affect the amount of soldiers you get versus Persia. The rest of the game is extremely simple.

YAY I WON THE GAME AS ATHENS SUPER EARLY AND GOT THE BRILLIANT VICTORY THING YAY. tip for people who are having trouble winning: if you are athens, first get sages, then get the extra population bonus, then get taxcollecotrs. as soon as you tax colllectors, make sure your sages are maxed and then max your tax. get as many envoys as possible is a good strategy for any point in the game, and if you do it right, by late game youll have 5-8 envoys so when you discover a new city you can instantly ally it.

Won on turn 119, (35/35) but I was waiting about 10 turns for the last city to show up even though I had the map fully explored and all other 9 cities as allies.

Why is it that I cannot delay the Roman attack with 1M gold even though I have more than that? Honestly, I think it would be kind of funny if the Romans just gave up after giving them a ton of cash, just a suggestion though.

If game produces error when choosing language, this is probably an mozilla issue. It can't be solved by developer. Read here https://support.mozilla.org/de/questions/1156131 -.- you have to use different browser
