There is, sort of a freeplay mode, but its a bit shabby. Try to win as early as possible, and then unite greece. Exit the game to go back in to the profile you were playing as. You'll get one turn of freeplay, then at the next turn, unite greece again. Repeat this pattern. It'll only work 'til turn 161. Also, how many times you press unite greece is one victory, so it can be a good way to farm civilisation points.

Somehow, I was 'defeated by enemy swords', even though I had allied with pretty much everybody, had a strong army, and no one was attacking me. This is a great game, but that bug needs to be fixed. I lost all my progress.

2000 years ago, Jesus Christ, The Prince of Peace, even he had to pick up a whip and handle his biz against the hoaxters.

It's a very hard game, even on easy mode. I wish you could continue playing the game after turn 161. You could in bronze age and stone age.

I succeeded all invasions, and all I get is contempt??? Well, I was expecting my statue to appear on the screen in the end.

I sometime have a bug : i do the trade race goal, and when i manage to trade 10K/turn, the goal is not always "reached" so i can not win the game even i reach the forthcoming goals

how do i beat the game? I succeeded in every trial and had full alliance and relationship with everyone as Athens. Am I supposed to Conquer them??

how do you do anything as sparta? no matter what path you take, it seems the other citys always end up with over 10x as many troops as you can have at maximum. The only way ive seen so far to even accomplish anything is to go diplomacy alliences, same as athens

as sparta i never could get enough food at the beginning, so my army strengh ended up being massive from how many people died XD

I donť know how defeat persia army, i tried almost all, but most army which i had was 3,8k meanwhile enemy had 4,1k. This hard difficulty is really hard.:-()

Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You cannot conquer/make allies the other 4 greek cities(cant even find them)
I actually playtested the game and it is not finished

why did they take out the ability to play after the game ends? in the first 2 you could and thats what made it fun to play

Game: 'Athens is easier'
Me: *Fails completely with Athens*
Game: 'Sparta is harder'
Me: *Completes Sparta with the best rating possible* "You were saying...?"

I remember the old game where you could easily assign pop to the various works (agri, production, science, etc) so HOW THE **** CAN YOU DO THAT IN THIS GAME? There seems to be lots of clickable options, except CLICKING DOES NOTHING!!!! The big green circles seem like you can click on them and do stuff, except clicking on them does NOTHING!!!!

for the first battle for the athens i got 13 troops and the Dorians got like 15 and i lost only 1 why does that happen?

It feels as if this game is only partially complete, like a bad port. I came across a handful of glitches my first time through, which I would have accepted from a brand new game, but this isn't a new game. It's a port from Steam. Even if it was a new game, the end game is said to exist (you know, rebuying buildings and technologies), yet I find no evidence of this, and even if it did it would be totally useless. I like this game (maybe the best of the series), yet these flaws seem easy to fix. Also, what is up with the Civilization Points for Sparta? Consumable points to boost a run? That doesn't need to exist. Make them be weaker permanent upgrades for both Sparta and Athens, and maybe then I'll accept them. Till then 4/5 Stars, good but if these flaws are in the next game, they won't be treated as lightly.

I followed all of the instructions; I waited for 30 minutes, I installed a new version of Flash, and I installed a new version of Chrome, but I still couldn't get past the Select Language screen. 1/5 stars for me

Time was running out. I had 2 turns to unify Greece! I decided, as Athens, I must conquer in order to bring peace. I had 3 more cities to go. I easily conquer two of them. The last one, I needed to all due to my lack of generals. I get my fourth envoy... and the game ends before I unify Greece. Top 10 saddest anime moments.

I followed the steps in the instructions but the game wont get past the choosing language screen :( I was really hoping to try it
