I hired an extra gnome today, and it was supposed to last for 7 days. I JUST USED IT. And now it's gone. What happened, and how do I get my gems back if it's glitched?

I saw something in the discord about opening chests on certain squares because the square determines what comes out not RNG. Maybe I saw this a while ago in the comments too. I'm not going to argue whether it is cheating or not but finding a good square to open chests on can really speed things up. I've found 2 so far that always give me a potion and a gem dust but one gives me only pineapple plants lol.

Finally got my energy event!!!!! 88 chests to open and those should be enough to push me past my current main building Crystal Castle.

my travel book is empty for months now. I think they're trying to make expeditions that slow down cheaters like Mythical Flower but that are way less frustrating for free players.

Mythical Flower Event: So when you're done with building the Airship to sail off to that far off land, you will lose 5 precious tiles space because when you click on the Airship Pad (4 tiles) or the Old Man making those lumps of coal (1 tile), you will get a message saying "You have completed this quest" BUT you can't get rid of the Airship Pad and the old dude. You can only move them off to a spot that's out of the way... :-\
So much land space is given to that smarmy-looking merchant that hoarding resources to build/merge faster is discouraged and therefore, frustrating... bad design... :-/
Yes, yes, of course I have the option to NOT play this event. I could also dig deep into my pockets to continuously shell out cash to buy diamonds to buy gold to buy energy... NOT~!

@XENON I think I am getting issues now too. I just popped 4 big energy boosts from my energy tree. I was at 168 energy, switched to the event island for a minute and came back to 0 energy.

@catgravy I already cleared cache which didn't help. It just sucks losing the ability to play the game as intended after playing for about 4 months...

Besides Discord (which I don't trust totally) is there a forum or any social area we could actually talk about the game like a forum rather then the comments section?
@XENON that sucks mate. Is this one of those games you can't clear your browser cache otherwise it'll wipe your save? (I assume no). Different browser? I use Brave and haven't had any issues (I don't fully trust IE or Chrome either and Brave seemed the lesser of the other two evils lol).

@mgsprm: In theory, no, but you can keep building up the final buildings (like the Barracks) to get more and larger rewards per day. Only really worth thinking about with the wood line, the others are too time consuming.

@catgravy When I merge items into better items on the main map and then switch to the expedition and return to the main map, some of the items I merged into better items have reappered where they were originally placed. The same thing happens on my expedition map. So all my tiles are always filled up, which makes the game more frustrating than it already is... :)

I don't know if the game was updated recently, but my game is bugging out heavily, so I will have to stop playing, since the bugs make the game unplayable...

Can anyone tell me how often the energy event with the chests comes along? I am hording about 30 Royal chests from doing Sapphire Cyclops and I am running short of space for them (and patience also). It seems to pop up often enough?

The Mythical Flower event is SO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O slow with too many different builds that barely makes any progress and is actually annoying

Yes, just block Discord with uBlock Origin, it's just full of cheaters bragging they're cheating smh. Now i understand devs made building seasons and shopping seasons to get rid of the cheaters and not because they were greedy.

How many coins is enough? If I hold off about maybe 5 days I could scrounge together enough for 2 max coins for wht 120k+ coins. Would I even go through that many even lol?

Depending on your browser, you should be able to find an extension that can block the element. I use uBlock Origin which is a dang good ad blocker as well.

I have no idea if this is a bug, but... Items from chests aren't random. It depends on where the chest is located. It's cool if you want better items (and you know where to put the chest before opening it), but not cool if you don't want always the same items (i.e. sprouts).

@mrbb62964 the game is saved on the cloud for the kongregate account, make sure to login with the same account on kongregate and it will restore the progress

I am so glad to hear someone mention level 31 lol. I'm a throw away from 20 rn myself. I didn't think I would get addicted to this the way I did but proud to be F2P completely.

Feels like the Eleonora's Mystery thing is rigged. There's no way for me to get the materials to make the brush but I can't open the next area without the brush. The Prince and Stepmother won't provide those materials

I needed more than 2 weeks to go from lvl30 to lvl31. They should add XP boosts that you can buy with gold, keys or rubies to lvl up faster. Thankfully the new building will be less boring and the new land is really cheap and worth to buy. Devs finally became less greedy! (still need to add undo and group merging functions)

Finally made it past the Dragon house on the event and got the rock island opened. I am saving every chest from clearing it until I clear the entire section. I'll wait until the end of today and then merge them all at once.

I enjoy how the game will confusingly warn you that your merge is suboptimal but will not put in any confirmation or delay feature to stop you from accidentally doing it but it will stop you from closing an offer screen by delaying the X button appearance. Really shows you were this developer's priorities lie.

@catgravy no, only one can be bought with coins, but don't worry, you can farm many diamonds eventually and you will be able to buy everything! Also yeah keep farming to max coin, use potions if you have some.

Could anyone confirm there is/are more then 1 extra island to buy with coins? I bought one just curious if I should be saving for later for another one. (Super close to maxing my coin in the journal for the 65k coin)

@FearlessDecoy I haven't even gotten the engine thing yet. I feel like I am spinning my wheels completely. I'm locked too. Nothing to burn energy on - can't open more space without building the next max building. Frustrating.

It doesn't help that I'm hard locked from expanding in the event due to every tree I've cut down only give small chests, no matter the size of the tree. I've clearcut the sapphire trees and only maybe 1/3 of the way to a Dragon Palace

So in this Mythical Flower event, I need 5 cans of fuel. Each can costs 10 coal and 3 barrels, and each barrel costs 25 coal. 5 x (10 + (3x25)) = 425 coal. I am not going to babysit this game and come back every 15 minutes to grind that out for a useless statue at best.

Just maxed out a gem chest for the first time and snagged an extra 42 spots on the map plus all the crazy goodies that go along. Well worth the investment of time and space.

15 large garden bags banked. I tend to ignore farming to use the space for other things then I go all in on farming and crank out a few top tier keys and repeat. Working towards the top tier coin has taken a while but I can see the end in sight in a week or two tops. That has me excited lol

@Sakgeres Thank you for the info. I definately will be selling within that 24 hour window this time. I have Mythical Flower up rn. I think I should clear this for the reward - I haven't missed one yet since I started. But I have had one where it was on the second to last day.
