I enjoyed this game for both the aesthetic and the pretty simple gameplay mechanics. I was a little short but it was fun while it lasted.

Well, that was hilarious. I beat the normal mode, and then died right before I got the 'you escaped' screen. Even got the achievement. So I decided to beat hard mode, and figured out that because I 'died' before the end screen lost me the badge. At least, I think so.

after finishing paladog, you appreciate short and sweet quality games like this even more. good job mate. looking forward to more from you/clockwork :)

I much prefer one-button running games where holding down "jump" for longer makes you jump higher. That seems a much more natural way of controlling the character.

Unoriginal gameplay followed by unoriginal art makes me very disappointed followed by the fact that your speed doesn't increase; increasing the amount of time you must play 10 fold... 2/5

This game was interesting at first, but it's irritating that running speed doesn't increase. The game seems linear, and even when the game was meant to be like this, it shouldn't be this obvious. Also, upgrades/powerups weren't very interesting.
Suggestions: make this a maneuverable game, not another 1-button game. Maybe add an upgrade for running speed. A jetpack might also be a decent idea for jumps that are annoying, instead of just making the platforms slightly longer (short to tall narrow platform to a tall platform again). Possibly adding other weapons would revitalize my interest, but otherwise this is a solid 3/5 for me for good visuals, appropriate music, and a decent idea to start. I'm sure your sequel will be great!

Almost all the upgrades improve your performance against the monsters when the only real threat the game presents is the jumping. Maybe a run speed upgrade would be nice.

I find I have the most trouble with vertical jumps, where my character just refuses to jump high. It feels very stunted for the vertically high jumps. Everything else is fluid though.

The UI is kind of pointless. All the focus is on the movement, most of what's on the screen is just clutter as all you need to do is focus on jumping.

I love the art style on this game, I found myself being distracted by the background while trying to avoid falling to my death. :) Keep up the great work, this was a very fun game to play!

Please consider making powerups selectable, and with more of them you'd make the game more replayable. I'm thinking manual level ups with our own choosing of skills, but then there would be more skills than we could chose in one game, thus opening up the possibility of beating the game in more than one way.

The only problem I see with this game is that it's very hard to pause the game. Maybe there could be a screen where the player chooses what each key does? Like the player could set R as pause.

It got quite boring after a while. It is too easy and long. Not much powerups, all enemies are like same and only two weapons. Quite average runner, 3/5.

Great game except for useless points. I have to kill most monsters anyway, so why do they need points? Let me use points for level ups to to get more ammo or something.

Very interesting. Only a few minor issues, nothing to really complain about. And the rather Lovecraftian feel to the atmosphere and enemies is way awesome.

The jumping can be a bit stiff at times, the double jump doesnt seem to always respond well. Last thing is that it would be nice if the Pause button would really fully freeze the game. It occured a couple times when I was playing that I would pause and one of the tentacles that stretch out from the left of the screen kept stretching after I hit pause and hit my guy.

It's a pretty fun game. The only downside is that as you level up the jumps get harder. So after a while it is easier to reset your progress and start from level 1, which is how I beat the game.

As soon as you pick up the shotgun, everything around you is absolutely screwed. The amount of damage per bullet, along with it's fire rate is absolutely insane. The only difficulty in this game comes from the platforming, in which, isn't difficult if you're on your toes. Fun little game to play to kill time, not something I'd play over and over.

Very nice little game.
My only complaint would be that getting your jump height modified mid game is a little confusing. It would be nice if it would at least pause the game for 1 second just to give you a second to think.."ok, I just differently now". Otherwise tons of fun :)

In this game, it's terrain what's your worst enemy. I've failed many times, but monsters never got me yet. Both on easy and on hard.

I've found a minor bug: When you pause the game while the tentacle attacking you from behind is here, it doesn't stop until it reachs you, so when you continue playing you're hit... (Sorry for bad english :D)
