Nice game. It's a little weird that I collect experience by jumping and collecting a power up rather then say, by shooting enemies, jumping things, or the distance I run. If you can connect gathering experience with those sorts of things and not just have it like a power-up collectable as it is, then that might make the game feel more unified.

If the background color could change over the course of the run, i think it could add some visual coolness and a better feel of progression. Just an idea.

i love Running games :) I always had this idea of making a kind of canabalt game, where you can jump with any letter of the keyboard, and each letter does a different air trick ^^ if you can program and want to steal this idea ... there, i'm not looking.
Anyway, nice game. 3/5 cuz there's still lot of thing you can add to make it real cool.

Great game! Would be cooler though (In my opinion) if you could recieve skill points and assign them rather than having them preset.

3/5 from me. Was avoiding playing this game for a few days cuz it was a running game, but holy cow!!! This game is awesome!!! Give me upgrades (purchasable upgrades) and I'll be in heaven!

not bad but you could make it into a platformer where you have full control of the character and maybe have a few boss fights or rounds where the game changes into this game and you have to run away, just some suggestions, but great game keep up the good work

A few things...
First, the bonus multiplier (that you get when you level up) seems to affect the number of score multipliers that appear. This means that succeeding on the first attempt hurts your score (if you're going for a high score) because you will encounter fewer score multipliers on your first run through, when you are a lower level.
Secondly, the "faster fire" when you level up, actually hurts me, because when get the shotgun, the powerup bases its length on ammo, not a period of time. At the beginning of the game, I have shotgun for the entire run, later in the game, the powerup lasts less time and is consumed way too fast. I would ask that in a sequel or update, you make the shotgun based on a length of time, not ammo, so that you aren't punished for having an "upgrade".
Lastly, the "explosion powerup is way too weak in later levels. Please make it stronger.

I think that you could make a more player friendly level up system, where the player picks with skills to increase, instead of being in a pattern.

The ending was a bit boring, I thought there would be a large boss fight or something but no, there was just a white light then 'You Escaped'. Personally I found this ruined an otherwise fun game

escaped on first try without having been hit a single time. you shouldn't have listened to those whining casuals complaining about how the game was too hard

Staying in one spot gives a very monotonous sense of mechanicalizm, like your playing a game, but a sucessful game makes you feel like your IN the game. More control would be great, as well as reloading mags, and ammo pickups, these would give it a 5/5.

The creator of this game might add: (mabe) badges, controllable character.(that means you can run around not by sicking by one place,). lastly i kind of want more color in this game.

You should grant bonus points based on quick kills in succession and how quickly you kill a creature after it spawns.

I really like this game but I think that there should be more items and harder jumps. Also include enemies that are only vulnrable in certain spots like shells armor etc. Overall I really enjoyed it.

Really liked this game, a bit fast paced, but it's good that it doesn't just get easy as you progress through the game, most games usually end up just being to easy towards the end. Suggestion wise, probably upgrades, more of them. The points you get could be used as a means of purchase without subtracting from your highscore or end score preferably). Overall, nice work :)

Very cool but rather quick game. Wish I'd had control over the upgrades and gun upgrades would've been awesome. This could effortlessly become a 'bullet madness' type game except obviously it would be 'monster madness'. Loved the overall design and play of this amazingly quick game. Make the sequel longer!!!

don't see the point in experience if you have to start over after you fall down. something like buyable better weapons would be nice at least. and why does the shotgun disappear after a while :(

no offense but there isn't really enough action to keep someone playing this game for more than 3 min. (how long it took me to quit) Wish there was something to make it better. Good idea though.

This game is great. The look and music make for a great atmosphere, and I particularly liked the giant background monsters in the distance giving that feeling that there's more to this story.
The game feels a little slow for a runner game at first, until you get used to it. And it's a shame that it's not longer.
Both of these problems could be solved with a couple new modes, the first being an endless mode where you run till you die and aim for the highest score, and the second one being an adrenaline mode, where everything goes faster.
You could make it so that one could play a finite level in adrenaline mode, and the endless and adrenaline modes combined.
It's been a while since I saw a game with such a simple concept deliver as mush as this one did.
5/5

This game is good but I think that you could use some improvements. Consider adding maybe a upgrades menu when you collect exp during a run. Also, consider more worlds, being able to choose when to shoot instead of just a continuous fire, add somthing of a story to this game, and, on this one people will probably disagree with me, but add checkpoints. The one thing I have to say about this game that they shouldn't change is the music.

Maybe moving to the left and right while the screen still keeps moving would be nice to be able to take time for some jumps
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
omg please let a shield protect you from fall in the next one. I keep messing up jumps at the end with my double shield lol
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game took a different tone once I realized that all the creatures from the far end of the screen took longer to reach you than if they had merely been hovering over the terrain.
The only explanation possible would be that they are fleeing from the player.
by extension what really is happening must be that the poor octopeople are fleeing from the horrifying creature whose eyes reveal the same death that it spews to slaughter them, all the while their bravest warriors and most loyal pet's sacrifice their own life in a futile attempt to stop it.

I love how the jumps go the same height whether I click it quickly or hold it for a little bit! Way better than other games like this!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Pretty cool. I havent played through it completely yet but it can be great. Just make sure to make it smooth enough for people running on crappy computers to play. Not me but other people

the challenge is the platforming not the living, which makes the shield and double shield level ups especially useless.

I love this game and the art is amazing, with that said, the ending don't feel like an end, it needs a final boss. I would also like to see a higher level so customization, skill points with every level rather than pre-defined skills, it would provide a higher play-through level. Also more weapons, always more weapons. :D 4/5

I would have liked to be able to get higher than level ten - I've reached the level cap after something like ten minutes, that is a bit short, if you ask me. The hard mode was a bit easy, too (for a hard mode), and some more achievements wouldn't hurt either. The main issue I had was the level thing, though. Aside of that, well done.

Good game. How about a twist where you can 'delevel abilities' in exchange for alternate abilities. Like run faster instead of double shield. etc.
