I like the game, but I think it would be better if more aspects of the game changed overtime. For instance, multiple boss types and cosmetic changes to the character as you level would be nice. After a while, it just seems too repetitive otherwise.

I feel that the platforming was far, far harder than anything the monsters could throw at me. Especially because most of the powerups helped damage output. They never touched me once but the first time through I fell through a hole at 8000 m and kept falling in pits since, all the way to the end.
That is the idea with a multitasking game: Balance. If you focus on killing enemies, you won´t get touch, but you may fall. If you focus on jumping, monsters will get much closer...
Anyway, I will work on tighter jump controls in the sequel. The results are not the ones I expected.

Gave this game 4 stars, before you get upset I very rarely give out a 5 star rating including games I've played for years such as elements... First off its amazing what you have done here with so little- the colours and hues used are amazing, and the gameplay is simplistic yet addicting and challenging on "hard", additionally I love the fact that the game is completable without "leveling up" with the feeling of forced "wipes" but the levels do substantially help. My complaints and the reason it didn't get 5 stars are as such: 1. Graphically - why does the ground "bleed" when I shoot it? Futhermore, why are there weeds growing off the side of the cliffs? Gameplay - I wish there was either a visable timer on shotgun or a way to "conserve ammo" so I'm not blowing it all when there is nothing around. Other than that great game.

I get that "a few tricky jumps make the game more challenging" but when the jumps wouldn't be tricky without a nominal upgrade, it just flat sucks.

That would have been somewhat challenging even if I didn't have to shoot at things. I died from falling in gaps, not from monsters.

I love how when you reach max level the games' sorta like "you haven't beaten the game yet?,....lol here's an extra shield, maybe that'll help" It was pretty sweet. Thank you game

I find it mathmatical that the leveling system is made up of perfect squares. Hopefully I'm not the only one who noticed this! + this to let everyone else know!

Ok art, nice game. Rather easy, but I find it interesting. I hope for a sequel with some new improvements, and maybe some better visuals. Try not to repeat those Flying octopus THAT much ok? Nice work!

Ability to speed up or slow down would be great...
Anyway its not horribleh, but Action Turnip is much better =/.
anyway level should allow faster max speed, more colour and tighter jumps are needed.

the music when you're actually playing sounds suspiciously VERY similar to a song titled "olive rogue" from the webcomic homestuck. did you copy it, or just find it online and change the speed a bit?

the only problem i have with games like these is the lack of variable jumping.. ie where if you hold down the mouse key or button a little bit longer, then you reach max jump height.. but if you tap the key/button or a short hold, then you will do a small hop or a medium jump..

Good game, I could help with MANY ideas on how to make huge variety, you could add certain power ups like: piercing shots, double damage (red shots) homing shots (rare one, and really powerful). You could add some enemies, for example: a blue eye'd monster version of everything that is uncommon and has double speed. A Monster that fires a horizontal laser you have to jump over, the list of possibilities goes on and on, just ask me for suggestions if you want to make a sequel and need help with ideas

if the shotgun or any further weapons actually got a clip-size it would be nice to manually control if you shot or not because sometimes you get the shotgun but there are less enemies and when the clip is empty the enemynumber raises, for my taste the track is too long by the possible upgrades at the moment i got demotivated to play it another time because i know i finished the track and thats it, well in the end i had my fun :) you did a good job till yet :D

If you are having problems with going to far with double jump, here is my tip: If you only need to make a medium or small jump but want to double jump, do it quickly! If you tap jump twice fast you will go really far up but land relatively quickly compared to if you wait longer before hitting jump the second time.

I will not be getting medium, I understand they wanted a longer game, but I don't think they meant "make the running longer", they meant more variety...

Very fun and simple game. My vote would be it's a bit long in its current state. Could use some more fun background music, like Robot Unicorn's.

Amazing....some people may not like it for being too simple..but..goddamn, this is awesome, this hits me like Super Villiany did, meaning that many people may think it's average, but it just has that..something for me that makes me think there's hope for the industry.. The visuals are just gorgeous. The yellow and black blend so well and I haven't seen that color scheme used often. Incredible job man..you better get that sequel out quickly..also I think I was the 2nd person to get the Easy..hm...anyways..yea..It's also great for a developer to reply to comments other than top comments. 100/5

Fun and imaginative game. It's great to see comments being actively responded to, and suggestions being put in, rather then responses to stupid comments on some other games. Keep up the good work!

great game. i like how all the top comments have a reply, maybe if the dev replies to this, than it will become a top comment.

nice looking game! I defiantly like the style of it. I can tell you put some work into this game :). one idea for a new monster for your sequel could be a huge guy chasing after you and all of his appendages are snakes or something along those lines, lol, just trying to help out!
