Also I have a suspicion that you are using floats - I noted some multiple of a hundred farms and the aforementioned round 3x boost giving me a number ending in .99. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2100490/floating-point-inaccuracy-examples explains that in short, floating points add useless junk to any number and what is more ideal when accuracy is useful is to use integers instead (shifting the decimal places by 2) and add the decimal point afterwards.
There are three multipliers that pool into one big multiplier for each object. We have yet to figure out how to update the tooltips to explain this to anyone. Achievement multiplier, dark knight multipliers and upgrade multiplier. The dark knights "280%" boost is the dark knight multiplier at 28 which then gets added together with the achievement multiplier and any upgrade multipliers. It isn't that the math is inaccurate it's that we have yet to be able to explain the way the multipliers work in this game which is a lot different than other idle games since we have more stats in it than just gold. If you provide me with accurate details about what you are making with your structures, your achievements earned I can tell you the exact formula for how you got the numbers you did.

Something strange is going on with the idle calculation of dark knights - I was away for maybe 10 minutes when my computer decided to restart and update and found myself with 28,000 dark knights where it had taken some hours while active to make 3,000. Then when I reset and claimed those dark knights I found that even with what should be a 2800% or 28x boost I still only made 1200 troops with 200 barracks which is more like the 3x boost I actually had created.
Troop counts are handled differently since you can't have 999 sextillion troops it just doesn't make sense since troops are essentially a representation to the population of the world. I know it's just a stupid idle game but I wanted to avoid some "wtf" stuff.

people complaining about the dark knights % income just want to beat the game in 1 day in 1 day of me playing i just woke up and saw i now have 16000 dark troops my altar is level 250 so i can just imagine tomorrow i will have like 50000 dark troops

Originally we had the concept of battle losses, and leaving troops in the captured country (you know... to keep it captured!). So we wanted the full number of troops to be somewhat overblown since the losses are random. But we are now discussing better ways to handle the balance of troop count vs power. Army power isn't updating unless I reload game :( I have 21k knights and 12k troops, but had 0 Army power. after reload army power showed 6. (Im on Chrome)

There might be a bug? On my Altar it says, correctly, I'd get 20k dark knights... but on the resetscreen it shows only 4k.... which one is reliable... don't wanna reset and only get a fifth of what I'd really get

Great concept on some inspiring ancestors of these type of games. Not fond of Japanese Animation but that is a personal issue of mine.
Keep putting in the work and this game will be outstanding, not too easy, not to difficult.
Keep making troops! Or alternatively boost up your gold production and buy a bunch of altars, mass produce thousands of dark knights, then reset and do it all much faster!

That explanation was very helpful, thank you. Just being so concise and quick to answer makes this game deserve a 5/5 lol. One more quick question: for determining the effect on troops would you use the same formula but change 1 + (# of achievements * .5) to 1 + (# of achievements * 1) but only count the number of achievements as the ones that actually give a boost? Hope that makes sense.
Sorry for not replying back sooner! Devs have to sleep too =D! The formula I previously posted is only valid for gold. troop building are a slightly different animal, I'll have to get with the main programmer later and make sure I fully understand it before I try to explain it publicly!

@suuljin I agree with you there. I'm sorry to mention a rival game, but I do suggest you look at adventure capitalist for ideas on acheivement bonuses and upgrade bonuses.
The difference between Adcap and Conquest is that Adcap is open ended. For all intents, and purposes, so is ours at the moment. But we are planning to to add unlock-able content related to capturing countries etc, which to us would be a waste of time if players can steamroll everything in a few hours with some achievements! Patience conquerors!

The base stat for farm gold/tick is 1.12. With 9400 dark knights (94% after update) and 150% from three achievements after the reset the gold/tick is 4.97. Just curious how the math is done here to get to this result because it doesn't seem right? Some of the other amounts seem off too.
We use a non-standard method of applying the modifier. To try to put it simply without messing up the explanation. There is a base multiplier of 1 for achievements and for dark knights (for gold, troops calculation is different). and it is additive. so to find your dark knight multiplier, its 1 + totalKinghts * .0001, in your case that would be 1 + (9400 * .0001) = 1.94. save that number! to find the achievement bonus, its 1 + (# of achievements * .5), in your case 1 + (3 * .5) = 2.5. Then the multipliers are added together before the multiply the base, so 1.94 + 2.5 = 4.44, to arrive at the final number its baseValue x multiplier. so 1.12 X 4.44 = 4.9728, rounded down to 4.97. I hope this helped clear up some confusion! Vote this comment up so others can see it!

Kinda makes sense that you don't get much from countries when you just beat the snot out of them, but how about we get to upgrade the countries? Like rebuilding after the war? 'Cause who doesn't want MORE UPGRADES? btw I think the Queen's spies in Astrila were drunk... 50,000 troops, bah... I lost 200,000 troops to those buggers x.x
Drunk spies? NEVER! =D. We are actively considering several ways to make the capture mechanic more interesting. Although we have some bugs left to squash before we can start working on content. Rest assured that there will be more interaction with your captured countries! And oh yes, Grey Isles will not be the end of things, oh no! =).

i cant see how much troops i have because "option" button is there..
and when i want to press "economy", "achievements", "map", "upgrade" buttons, i have to click 1-2 cm up. please fix this immidiately.

This is an issue with your browser zoom settings! Try changing your browser zoom, if you see the image cut off on the edge, zoom out a click or two. If you see a blue box around the outside of the game, zoom in a click. We are working on fixing the issue so that the game will automatically fit what ever zoom setting your at, but its a big job so no ETA yet! Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime. We finished off some of the little glitches such as math problems and a big glitch where if you closed your game in less than a minute after doing a dark knight reset, you would lose your achievements (ouch!) Next small update will be font changes so they look cleaner. Afterwards we will be working hard to fix the zoom problems people are having and that one's a big one TwT. ~Taiga

army's coming along quite well 170k troops 85 army power. why is it that you have to attack with like 5x more troops to attack the lowest level kingdom? also in all of these comments people are writting i seeing dark knights is the only way to get them with reseting everything? cause i don't really know if there worth a reset.
The dark knight multiplier starts at 1. Every dark knight adds 0.0001 to that multiplier. At 10,000 dark knights the multiplier doubles, at 20000 the multiplier is 3, 30000 it's 4. I recommend getting 100,000 dark knights before your first reset which makes your multiplier 10. That means that dark knights contribute 1000% more to your gold and troop gains.
There are 3 multipliers. Achievement multiplier, dark knight multiplier and upgrade multiplier. All multipliers add together to give you your gains for your Economy items. So if you have 100000 dark knights, this will add 10 to that multiplier. It feels slow at first but things get very fast after awhile because Dark Knights and achievements earned always stay with you after every reset. If anyone wants to know more about the math I am using for this game, you can private message us and I will explain it to you :3

Considering how we leave all surviving troops from attack to protect new country, maybe amount of it could affect the production somehow? So, overkill potentially grants us a higher bonus. Or lower, if you intend to make people go through conquering faster.)
Also, any plans on making dark knights affect things? Well, i mean possible outcome, that after certain point of possible conquering everything, you would get a darker picture depending on amount of altars we have? Somehow text showing her doubt about having that much of dark power on her side leads me to think about that.
I'm happy people caught my foreshadowing hehehe. I wrote all of the text and her personality and I wanted to do some sort of 'hinting'. What I thought about doing was making the dark knights form a bond with demons and, after you beat grey isles, you have to enter a demon portal to attack and control their world too and we can create all kinds of new content such as spells and champions.
I actually plan to make the queen say a lot more stuff to form a story and some other funny dialogues but we decided to release the game and see how the idea does before we go crazy adding all kinds of content. You made me smile M4598, thank you!

maybe an achievement with a small boost when all structures meet the same tier of achievement? like if everything is at lvl 100 you get a .025 boost to everything? or more whatevs
Funny because I actually have a variable counting all the times you upgrade a building in anticipation that someone would suggest this. It won't be too bad to make this work. Maybe it can make the gains from attacking a country bigger?

Dark Knights give you extra army power but you need to have A LOT of dark knights to see the difference. It feels slow but even without a reset, you can actually attack Astrila on the first day of playing :)
Once you start gaining achievements and get a lot of dark knights you'll see things get faster suddenly you can attack 10 countries!

There is actually a fair bit of strategy. You can try putting all of your money into gold making items and ignore troops and the map. Gain 100k dark knights then play for real. (plus this will help you get achievements faster and your achievements are kept after a game reset) :3
It is an idle game at its core so slowness is expected but there are little things you can do to speed it up. Also, despite only being 4 upgrades per Economy thing (minus dark knights), the upgrades are pretty good and really make things faster! Thank you so much for trying our game out and giving your feedback, we really appreciate it!

The OPTIONS button is over the text for TROOPS; so it's next to impossible no know the amount of soldiers I have recruited. Very annoying.
If you are seeing blue in the background, then you are suffering from the zoom bug (that we are working on fixing but it's a big thing so please have patience!)
Please simply go to View on your browser and click zoom and zoom out one or two notches and that should fix the way the game looks.
Really sorry for the inconvenience but we will have this game supporting zoom in and out in the weeks to come, we promise!

The tooltip info is incorrect and needs to be updated. We are working on crisping up the fonts and will be fixing up all the tooltips in the process.

without the buy maximum amount button this game would be so irritating XD thank you a-lot for putting it in the game. right now i got only 25k troops and i've been playing for a while this game is defiantly and idle put to the max good job so far want to get my first fight though. hoping its not just a click and something happens. praying for some kind of animation or something.
Well, there is SOME animation. but its nothing groundbreaking ;). We are open to suggestions for improvements/additions. Although the plate is pretty full at the moment and we don't know when we can get to them!

I think it would be nice to have a time remaining on some of the longer increments, specifically the altar. It's a bit frustrating to not know how long it takes it to process.

If you are experiencing a screen cutoff then you should zoom out on your browser by going to View and then change the zoom to zoom out.
If the game has a blue background and border around it then you need to zoom in on your browser.
This will fix the problem temporary. We are working on making the game size changeable so it will resize automatically but there are other bugs that need to take priority and the resizing automatically fix is a big task.
Really sorry about the inconvenience but we will definitely be getting to this as soon as possible.

New Update! Probably the last larger change for a few days! Country gains recieved a major boost. as well as Dark Knights are now .01% per, instead of .005%. Along with some other fixes and general house keeping. We could not get to the blurry tooltips issue due to a unity editor bug that essentially set the position of all of our elements to 0,0,0 =(. So we decided to push what we had in testing out without the blur fix.
Expect the blur fix as well as some other issues fixed in the next couple of days! Thank you everyone for your support so far. its really kept us going these last 24 hours!

hey i know I've commented a LOT but i really like this game and see potential so another suggestion, for the altars ( my dark knight generators :P ) maybe lessen the gain to 1:1 ratio and make them cost a bit more AND maybe speed them up a bit like 2.5x speed to fit ratio because my gains are really slow... hope you like the suggestion :)
We actually just doubled the effectiveness of Dark Knights by 2x. Making dark knights apply a .01% modifier per each one vs the old .005% modifier. The actual math is a bit hard to explain, and we like it, so we will probably keep it under wraps. Just know its not an exact % on the values! Have fun experimenting. Glad you like it!

would be awesome to implement a tool tip for the dark knight reset, to show how many you have, and will have after DK resetting, that way i can see if resetting has any value or just wait a bit longer. otherwise, 5/5 idle game. thanks :)
Automatic buy would be a touch overpowered! There will be a gold and troop rate eventually. Didn't make it into this next update unfortunately, still squashing some bugs and cleaning up some stuff before we can add it. But it's coming! Thanks for playing and leaving a suggestion!
