ShadowDaPup: It only updates when you perform a 'dark knight reset' in the options menu. Until then, your dark knights are banked.

really need to make conquering more worth it spending 550mil for only 37k every 10 or so seconds sort of the edge off the idle game when conquering is what makes it different
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If I read that right, the achievement modifiers stack additively with the dark knight modifiers. That'd probably be one reason why they don't reset when you reset the game - their overall level of effect diminishes greatly in replays.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
My achievement effects aren't carrying over after reset, is this intentional, if not can you try fix this as soon as possible?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Nicely done idler, the only thing that annoyed me is the soft reset button too close to the hard one... You can guess what happened with my progress ;_;
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
awesome idle game. simple, but also in depth. although you might want to make the speech bubbles for taiga when you get an achievement a bit bigger in width and height as sometimes what shes gonna say next is cut off, and i for one would like to see what she says as it seems funny.

was there an update to prices that is not listed on the updates section? suddenly altars increased from 400million to 11billion noe day to the other at level 455

I would love more upgrades. It feels like way too much time goes by between my being able to feel like I've made some sort of progress. It also feels like I need far far far too many dark knights before I see any benefit from resetting.
The upgrades are terribly boring you are absolutely right. I am likely reworking them completely after the Kingdom Overview screen content later. I will keep the speed upgrades high tier and add a bunch of new upgrades to increase your multipliers.

buy 100 is a bit buggy. if you choose buy 100 but you have not already bought 1 of a building, then you get 1 building but the price goes up for 100 buildings

Show Multipliers doesn't seem to be working I have 601 farms yet it says farm achievement 4. Also why are you giving just as much credit for greatest conqueror for the # of times you conqueror an enemy. It highly makes people reset the game. Their is no reason conquering the last county and completeing the map should count the same as resetting and killing the first county over and over again. I would make the tribute system off highest county or how much map you own. Just my two cents.

3) The game uses decimal points in its money calculations. Since nothing ever costs less than 1 gold, there is no reason to display decimal values of gold. This just takes up space. 4) The game uses a non-monospace font for gold. This isn't a super big deal, but using a monospace font makes it so the gold readout doesn't jump around to the left and right as the numbers change, like the game does now. 5) The map is pretty hard to read. The test is really small, and doesn't read well, especially with the differing colours on each country.
I still have yet to determine the cause of the readability issues as I see things fine on my computer monitor as does my friends and my partners yet, some people, claim to see blurry text and what not on their monitors. We're using Unity's 4.6 beta version and I think it has something to do with their GUI. As for the decimal places I'm inclined to agree with you there but the floating point precision does allow things to add up over time and gives us more control over how much you are gaining per value. We can have a farm give you 1.5 per upgrade instead of a flat 1 or 2 giving us a lot more control over the speed of gains. The font jumps around on the buttons because I have them center justified. Been tempted to left justify them for awhile now it just doesn't look as good visually, yet not seeing the 'jump' is nice.

This game is... not great. The conquest idea is interesting, and the game definitely has an interesting personality, but you're missing a lot of stuff that would make this a much better game. Some of this is kind of nitpicky, but it's all stuff that I think would make this game better. 1) There's no way of knowing how many resources/second each upgrade gives you. I don't know how long it takes for each bar to fill up, which makes it very difficult to tell which building I should upgrade next. In addition, there's nothing that says exactly how much you get from one upgrade. For example, I currently have 158 markets giving me 2163.81 gold. Without getting out my calculator, I can't tell exactly how much money I'm going to get from my next market upgrade. 2) There's no general readout of how many gold/second or troops/second I'm getting.
We weren't shooting for 'greatness' by any means, we were shooting to test the idle market. Resources/second is coming eventually with the addition of the Kingdom Overview screen we intend to add to give you guys all your statistical data in one place. The things I need to do to make it work including resources/second is actually quite complicated so it requires a lot of time and can't just be done overnight. Currently the math = (baseValue * any multipliers) * item level. So if farm is giving 1.5 gold as base value with +50 to its multiplier, you are doing (1.15 * 50) * total built(which is viewable in tooltip display). you can view your multipliers in the options screen so until I can get that overview screen up. It's not great, but it's all I can do. BTW +1 to all multipliers for every 10,000 dark knights. Cost = current cost * 1.025.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
10X cost does not show on half of the thnigs, mostly the gold producing ones since you don't need the troops ones to win any wars. When 10x is ticked, they still show the cost of 1.

Hello devs, the 3rd "upgrade" for farm, market and goldmine only affects future levels on the economic buildings, and not the already purchased levels right? Btw, good job with the game, it's what you can expect from an idle game, and i pretty much like that you can reset the game over and over, for new benefits (dark knights). After the new update, i really miss the tooltip to see what the "next" income will be, maybe you can add a tooltip to show how much +gain you get per level? (talking economic buildings mainly)

Now, for the update : the X1/X10/X50/X100 seem pretty good for me, not a problem and seriously, that help a lot. The best part is you put the money necessary for the X10/X50/X100.
Oh, and i thought it's was logical the fight was like 10 minutes ... XD
Because a war is not something you can finish in a few secs !
So anyways, i have no problem for this updates. The game is easier and you already say before you have some ideas for the conquest mode.
Between having ideas and putting them in the game, it's A LOT of differences.
And yes, a lot of guys think updating a game is just like clicking a windows where is wrote : "Update to 1.X".
So, continue your game because it's a good one.^^

I don't feel his words is like a threat. Like he said : he do this on his free time.
It's a free game too but try to think if it's was a game where we have to pay for this ? After a lot of theses review, he will just stop trying to update this game because it's useless : too many complain, no result.
It's better to go to another stuff.

I'll say I do like the changes and updates you've made to the game. I also like that you do respond to the players; both are great things. However... I'm going to say only updating the game if you receive support (which I assume to be positive feedback), especially after you already have plans on what you wish to do with your game, is not right. Barring other reasons, having an update that isn't well received means you could "threaten" to not update and/or change the game anymore. I know I'm going off a rather extreme example, but really, make the game into what you want it to be. Whether that accounts for feedback is your choice. Then, hope your players agree with your decision. This would make your game stand out in what is becoming a rather saturated type of game.
We only base updates on what you guys are suggesting so they should be well received. If we released an update that wasn't well received we'd make instantaneous adjustments based on common complaints. Like yesterday I had gold for buy 10,50,100 set to show you the total amount of money you will spend if you can't afford the full amount, we received like 5 comments a minute complaining about it so I removed it so it only displays the full amount. I don't have much room to type a book in these comments so I can't express my meaning clearly but basically we are only nervous about our game dropping off the "hot new game" list and ending up on like page 10 of Kongregate's main site due to the rating, meaning playcounts will drop significantly so, from a time perspective, it would be better spent trying to develop a new game that can take the lessons learned from Idle Conquest and try to make something awesome. We aren't going to abandon a game that's still getting all these plays a day.

Barracks, Arenas and Castles are utterly irrelevant to the game as it is now. You can easily complete it by just building Farms, Markets, Gold Mines, and Cathedrals once you've ramped up a million Black Knight is successive restarts.

I don't like the threat you put on player. And i think you should reflect on yourself. You come with a good concept but half done. The name of the game is idle conquest while conquest is just for the show in a term of gameplay. At the moment, i don't see big difference with other idle games so I won't wait for you to feel in the mood to improve the game.
I' ve developed games for free and for years for associations. It makes me sick to see a good starting game with a developer which don't even like what he do.

So far I love the new changes. And YAY and export button!!!! That's one of the few things I was wishing this game had. Now I can keep my save game safe:D

I really like the decision that you fixed and improved the game basics before adding more content, and I also love seeing the multipliers, don't care about the layout there. It feels a little as you just gave us more of everything xD Keep up the good work :)

New update is AWESOME! I just started playing a few days ago, but this has been a huge improvement over an already entertaining game. Well done, Devs

This update has reached my expectations and then some! SO happy to see dark knights are now more worth my time :D 7/5 stars!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Overall good update. The multiplier overview is nice and lowering the cost multiplier will create a better pace which until now was rather sluggish. Extra point for so quickly for changing the buying multiple units to showing total cost even if it's more than you can afford.
Can't help feeling that this game is missing something though. While it IS a rather good incremental, there is really no original mechanic to differentiate it from the swarm of others out there. It's good to hear that you are planning on overhauling the conquering mechanics which I hope will create some deeper gameplay.

Kinda strange logic : (dev threat) Bad rating - no more development. How about just delivering great stuff and getting the reward for it ?
It wasn't a threat. If our game loses playercount due to the rating being low, we can no longer afford to support it and can mark Idle Conquest as a learning experience and will need to move on to a new project that will hopefully have better success. We do this stuff in our free time so how we use this time is important. Currently the playercount is fine, I left in update stating that I will be taking a break and watching things, it isn't unreasonable to ask for support so that we can continue supporting it. If things are still going strong in, say, a week from now there's no reason to NOT continue supporting the game. Anywho I'm off to bed and relaxing for awhile. So good night and happy gaming whichever game you choose to play. <3 Taiga
Testing the waters. Our rating is pretty low so once we stop being a 'hot new game' Kongregate will boot us to like page 10 of the game list and our plays will stagnate. So we really want to see if this thing improves otherwise we will not be able to expand to it anymore since I do this in my free time while working 50 hours a week at some demotivating job and with such limited time I'd need some sort of a gain or a sign from people that they REALLY like the game for me to want to continue it, since I'm the programmer, nothing happens without me lol. So far our complaint/compliment ration is like 10000000:1 so lol. ~Taiga

Most recent update ...it doesn't make it easier because if you cant afford all then you know that you are spending all your money
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Chimaker ...i agree with the "Buy X" should show the full cost and not only what you can afford ...because if you cant afford all of them then its obvious that you are going to spend almost all your money ...there is no need to show that ...its misleading people to think that that can buy x100 for really cheap amounts ...i prefer the way its done in Adventure Capitalist

AFter purchasing a +10 +50 or +100 installment of any upgrade, the math stuffs up and shows an incorrect cost number.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hey, me again. I'm having a visual error on the "cost" part of the UI. I've been buying by 10 and after so many purchases, the cost says it goes down, while it actually doesn't. Clicking on x10 again (sometimes requires me to click it more than once) will show how much it actually costs.
Not sure why this happens, but I doubt it's intended.
I specifically programmed this in a way so that if it's going to break, it will break immediately instead of break random sometimes. So I know for an absolute fact this cannot happen. One thing I really regret doing with this game is add decimal numbers to big numbers as well as make everything 'center justified'. The numbers shift and bounce around a little as you are buying so it looks, at times, as if your costs were getting smaller but they actually are not. ~Taiga
