Cool game, but it was first done in one of the Dr. Brain games made by Sierra, I think it was Island of Dr. Brain.
Also, none of you people complaining about the limit on the number of directives would have ever survived programming 30 years ago. Programmers these days are wusses.

Well...
Unless jou actually play the game jou wont notice its not exactly like programming. The most notable differences seem to be that you have limited space and that it is possible to insert commands that dont chance anything(witch is great for function reuseability)

Lost ppl, if you seek a game that allows you grasp of conditional statements, iterations, and other such concepts look no further its already been developed. Its called "c++". Develop over the last few decades by intellects. This is the premium game and its free.

perhaps conditions would work like functions and be based off of a cycle counter. i love the game tho. 5/5 how do u pass lvl10

Awesome game but please give it a stage selection feature,I don't want to have to pass all the old levels again and again!

+1 for a save function.
Hints would be good if the users are supposed to be children.
On the contrary, more functions would be nice if the user is an adult (conditionnals, variables).
Despite these advices, the overall concept is very good : 4/5

awesome-ish i think this a bit more spiced up like better graphics and stuff that 9-12 yr olds find amusing and it could be put to use in schools.

It is a nice puzzle game. I wanted to do something similar to this, but couldn't come up with a simple idea that works - such as this.
People going on about "it needs conditionals" and "you wouldn't do this in a real program" - yes, well done, you've been to Mrs. Miggin's "Programming For Children" class. We're all very impresed. However, this is a game, and it needs to be intuitive and fun.
If you can't see the inherent complexity and beauty in simple schemes, your keyboard should have its {}#() keys removed.

Beautiful game 5/5, but as a programmer it's disapointing that in order to achieve levels 10 to 12, you have to put useless commands in the program. Anyhow 5/5 !!!

This is a great game that doesn't need programming skills, just clear thinking and problem solving. Challenging and fun. I'm going to have to stop playing it though, until a save function is added. It really is a major flaw in the game to think that a 25 level game that becomes challenging quite early could be solved in one sitting. Please add a save feature so I can come back to this great game.

infinite motion
if you put a command or series of commands in the function 1 or 2 then at the end of it put the function back in he repeats it over and over again

If you're interested in comparing level scores, could I draw your attention to "this thread":http://www.kongregate.com/forums/3/topics/20913 . Post your scores for each level, so others can identify the areas in which they have potential slack.
I'm on 157, by the way.

I noticed that. any chance you'd tell me your moves/level? I'm having trouble finding anything wasteful. Aside from level 11, which is painfully wasteful, but not easily fixable.

auto save so you can replay any level you've completed, and also a record of the lowest #of commands you've used for each level, instead of just the cumulative score at the end. Like other games keep a record of best scores for various levels, for example gemcraft. Otherwise very fun.
