Finally got hard badge... some lvls are straight out impossible tho. for instance 2nd from top on far left, his guys are twice as fast as mine and if i blow them up their carcasses explode on your base...

finished all levels great game.needs a pause or shut down feture for turrets .lag when you have a billion billion fighters etc on screen sucks
dont change anything once you finish it

First, the game is a lot of fun. The strategy and gameplay is top-notch, if a little frantic. But I have a lot of criticisms:
Too much in the way. Mini-map overlaps the playing field, often blocking building locations. Same with other on-screen buttons. Structure menus are not solid, and you can build through the menu selection. This is a problem when you're holding shift to replicate similar structures. Same thing with pause button, why am I able to build a structure behind the pause button, when all I wanted to do was click pause? The buttons need to be solid, and out of the way, not half-blocking the play area. The structure menu absolutely needs to be solid, as it's very frustrating trying to pick an option/click the structure behind the menu.

Why can't the escape button be used to de-select? Would be very helpful to have a sure-fire way to get rid of the current selection, without having to worry if you'll click on the structure you're aiming for, or accidentally build the structure you have selected.

The game is too frantic. There's a lot of strategy to be toyed with, if only there were space and time to do it. Most levels (especially duels) are easily accomplished by spamming bombers at the enemy base before they can get setup and mount full attacks. But frequently building a base with reactors and shields will lose you the same level because your opponent rapidly becomes too advanced for you to handle.
For the most part I find it to be extremely unbalanced. Duel levels are simple and quick, while defense levels of the same difficulty level I found to be almost impossible.
4/5 because the sheer fun of the action overcomes these issues. But this game could be amazing with some attention to detail. Like not being able to see where you're building a structure on levels with a bright sun in them. That's just silly.

Guide:
Note: Remember you can hit the pause button at the start and still build. That way you don't feel rushed while you are bombed on the by the enemy in the middle of a set up
1)Build a single Reactor
2)Spam build as many interceptors as possible, once you get the miner ship spam build miners. With a Reactor and as many miner ships as possible in the opening round you will be flowing with energy
3)Save up for the biggest strongest ship you have, the flow form miners and a reactor should be generous enough to give you a good advantage
Managed to beat the game and get the hard badge on those steps alone
More notes:
-Carriers are very helpful and I mostly spamed carriers from both star docks and star ports
-A shield generator or healing beam dose not hurt when you have the free energy to do so.

this game is too difficult to play. by the time i build something its already destroy and funds are too low. be nice if you could replay finished levels. rated 1 star

Would love to be able to see whether a level has a Black Hole or Heat Damage before entering the level, so I can properly configure my deployment from the start. (Or, in the case of Black Hole levels, entirely skip them) >.<
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
maybe add something like a sandbox after you beat the game. you have infinite money, able to choose environment hazards such as heat damage, black hole...ect. or just test out weapons against the enemy. idk something sandbox-y. just an idea. the game is still great without it, but it would be a nice touch.

needs...delete stucture option.
i am once again in a stalemate vs cyan in that "CONSTROCTOR" mission.
you know, the one i need to beat so that stalemates don't happen?

arg, perhaps note to future people. If you're not sure what to buy, infest resist may be a good investment. Protects from your items being taken over by enemy which may hurt in future levels

@Demolith, yes you should build generators at the start (usually2-4) and when you have 1500+ energy you should move on to reactors.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
perhaps you don't always have to build generators if you can build a supercarrier fast enough that will wipe them out? not exactly speaking from experience
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Stryk123 - That's not the answer I'm looking for, how about something more constructive like: You should build 2 small generators in the start of the game, 4 generators etc. etc.
What should my initial investments be?

I'm interested in the soundtrack. how do i go about getting it? and how much is it? i take it its not included with the premium buy?

It's been a long time since I felt I was bad at a game, but I can't for the life of me get clear any of the 22-difficulty missions.
I've tried walling up with turrets, I've tried walling up with fighters, none of it seem to work. Should I go for interceptors instead of fighters? Should I bother to build any generators?

Given that there's no way to grind up, would it be possible to add a reset button for upgrades so that we can try a different combination if we get really stuck, without having to start the whole game over again? Thanks!

This is going to sound fagotty... but the AI actively has such an enormous advantage in later levels... A weapon that can remove a building that cost 1500... in 1 hit? No. Just no. I'm rage quitting, because it's not fun trying to deal with that. Sorry. Good game. But no. GG

@ p4577: When the enemy starts right on top of you, you can simply beat him with Autoguns and Repair Turrets, supported by Freezer Drones. Those are by far the quickest Levels :) @ Everette: Autoguns work wonderfully against the Infestation (yes, I really love them ^^). Just be careful not to feed it with ships that get taken over. Beams, Freeze and Rockets are effective.

@ v8hadas: Here is my walkthrough for the Final Mission: Buy all Upgrades. Build 3 Physics Labs, 1 Reactor. Build 8 Fighter Bays for 2 Freezer Drones and 6 Miners. Build 1 Starport for the Annihilator Class. Make yourself a cup of coffee, and when you are finished, the battle is won. This approach generally also works for the other maps once you have the tech; in fact, you often do not even need the Annihilator in them, massed Freezers and Miners are incredibly effective. The Final Mission just throws some Annihilators of its own at you, which will shoot down the Fighters before they get to fire - unless it is really close to your base, which you do not want to happen ;)

This is an amazing game until the green (infestation legion) comes into play. Its almost impossible to stop them around difficulty 60 and above. This made me really angry because not only do they take over your structures within in an instant but they can also use premium ships against you which is completely unfair to those who can't use premium structures and ships to retaliate. Something absolutely needs to be done about the Infestation Legion because its impossible to stop them. They've broken through every single defensive fortress ive created and proved to be completely unstoppable because they infect my barriers and my turrets shoot it and open my fortress up for an attack
PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!

Alright, I played it through twice, and with the right strategy it is quite beatable. To keep it simple: In the beginning, you build a few reactors, secure your base with some repair turrets and Autoguns, attack with Bombers and Interceptors. In the end, you build three Physics Labs, spam Freezer Drones and Miner Ships, then build Annihilators. Those are the techs you *really* want. And until then, you unlock the needed units and buy the upgrades in whatever way you like. Constructors (expands construction area) and Missile Racks in combination are a nice way to crack well-defended fortresses. Do not use shields; in masses they slowed down my game more than anything else. Also, note that you can build while paused. Feel free to try it a different way, this is just the one that worked best for me so far :)

When doing defense mission...build nothing but repair turrets and reactors. it will not advance until you start destroying ships. acquire all the energy you need and throw down whatever afterwards.

GUIDE: For first half of game, Gunships are your best offense by far as they can handle anything. Ignore med ships and hvys till you get Light Carrier(med), and Super Carrier(hvy), or Beamship(hvy). Start off, pause, drop as many big reactors as possible, then a line of turrets with barriers in front of them. Then start making a 2nd/3rd reactor, then gunships. Once you get Physics Lab, everything changes. On most levels, you need to build 1k worth of ships then spam Physics Labs with NO reactors at all. You rely on the huge volume of ships you create to overwhelm. Adding a few MINER ships is very strong on meteor levels and even not bad on normal levels to provide cheap fodder and get free money from beaming enemies.

I wanted to test what the limit or energy would be. So I went back to the tut level and used a bunch of reactors and Auto turrets. Up too 150k right now. Gonna let it run for a while and see what happens.

This has huge potential but it needs a sequel to really be a game you can stick to for a long time. Also I keep placing stuff when I pause or move the minimap so I think that it needs a dedicated button and readout bar.
