@Hypnotic use cobras to beat green aliens. Get some additional micro lasers and a black hole gun, then you are set for defense. Finally, use some cap with a shield.

we have all been there hypnotic XD aliens can capture any a.i technology or your own. sometimes the a.i even feeds them which is not normal for the a.i I reckon...

its a nice game. The graphics are better than the previous game, obliterate everything 2 and this game has an immense variety of ships and levels

40fy thats not what he said... he meant that maybe the daily platinum bonus could be more than normal because it is Christmas... not anything about OE4. I dont understand either why the plat bonus is the same for even holidays.

@40fy I agree that naval yards are an excellent rush. However, this is not in "most cases". You need cloaked mediums, that have high damage or are carriers. These meds MUST be cloaked as they will otherwise get wrecked by frameglitched lasers (lasers that fire in a solid beam doing 50 dps each). My personal favorites are cloak engine e shield a athena (engine helps athena fly over base and attack from behind, shield is good against freeze) and cloak hawk corvettes (cloak helps hawks fire at least once, as hawks have relatively low fire rate but good damage).

@gavinman114 with the right setup you can get out caps suprisingly fast. In most cases, you are better off getting some sort of naval yard though, which is faster and often stronger

The game is really fun and well made besides a few things.
The reward system is well designed, I always want to get more credits to be able to buy the best stuff. The battles are cool to watch though I wish I could do more to interact with said battles.
However, the tutorial is lacking if not nonexistent. The music is repetitive (though not horrible). I've many times found myself being immediately bombarded with fighters (however this is okay seeing as the repair turrets and otherwise.
Other than that its a really good game!

@MrSheepTheBah there is a very simple way to end the acid effect- just heal the afflicted unit with repair turret, hyper repair or engineer. Once a repair beam touches a burned unit, the acid goes away.

Most players will use fighter yard and constructor, and gladiators (which need their phalanx nerfed). Personally, I prefer constructor and naval yard.

The Fighter Bay is my favorite aux. building. One or two can quickly swarm an enemy or keep them occupied long enough to bring in bigger guns.

the fighter yard is generally useless i acree marczero but it also changes the trajectory and spawns them faster than 4 small bays hahah but yes inever use it

@marczero fighter yard is 7.5 times more efficient that fighter bay. You pay 200 energy for 4 fighters every 4 sec, or 1 fighter each second. Compare that to paying 35 energy for 1 fighter every 7.5 sec for fighter bay. 200 metal is worth it for 7.5 times faster fighter spawnage. And while 200 energy seems like a lot, you only pay the price of the actual fighter once, while you would have to pay that price 7 times with 7 fighter bays.

@Shuriken in campaign, you can immediately pause it. in pvp, you always start with 500 energy (+- techs), and there are really just 4 different maps.

Well, Im not bothered by the fact, that miners fully mine up an asteroid and then go to the next nearest. Now i have two miners at the nearest asteroid, and all others charge the enemy base, ignoring all the other asteroids nearby.

if your not losing lives at all or not much...you can spend lives to restart the campaign at any level without losing anything and farm credits/ships o_o

@Johny otherwise, the miners would keep orbiting the same asteroid and stack up. You would get 10 or 20 miners orbiting an asteroid from just one miner fighter bay. Which is totally broken in terms of metal economy.

@Roberto577 cwwallis said he would do an OE4 beta around Christmas... which should be in a few weeks. I haven't heard much more about it, not sure if there are further delays.
