the game can do with some improvements before oe4 is released I reckon... it is making me loose interest.... you could add in a few ships from oe4 to here so we can get a bigger taste :D and also add another type of enemy to vs before oe4 gets released. so we know what we are up against rather than being taken by surprise and needing to come up with everything new on the spot :L

@piggycatman I talked to cww about that... he say OE4 full release may not be until next December :( However, expect some updates to the demo in the meantime :)

For those that are interested, cloaked spartans take 5 frames to uncloak after shooting, spend 30 frames at full visibility, then take another 5 frames to re-cloak. This same pattern has been observed in cloaked artillery halo.

@allasdraco when I try to play oe4 demo, it lags a lot. Unlike your smooth gameplay, when I play the demo the screen always freezes for a split second and is generally slow and laggy. I never have these problems with oe3, so idk.

I am seeing some wierd stuff in these comment, a major problem is that for some reason people who report bugs or have a legitimate questions are just getting downvoted for no reason.

ok. some basic stuff for anyone new. lasers fire fast and go through shields. plasma is slow but very high damage. it can miss where as lasers do not miss. plasma can also carry extra effects. standard bullets or cannon rounds fire quickly and with ok damage. black hole tech sucks everything in that's on a tile. preety much anything that's on the same size of a reactor could be sucked in. it fires very slowly and can miss easily. rockets are fired at a medium rate with some damage. they can be stopped however. boomerang rounds are weird and fly at their target. if it misses it homes in on the target. its not good on anything thsta fast and durable however. artilleries and mjounrs aka those huge cannoons fire real slow but with a ton of range and damage. they can easily be stopped however. phalanx stops a lot of things but lasers can't be stopped. they can be swarmed however by rockets and normal bullets.

So i guess reporting bugs I get downvotes. Look, when i bugs for me I lose lives. If yours doesnt good for you. But why people downvote a simple bug report is beyond me.

LOL @vibrator whenever I get stuck on the loading page and I reload, I don't lose lives. In my experience, if the screen is still stuck on "Loading Game" when you reload, no lives are lost.

So like every 5th game or so I have to reload the page because it gets stuck in the level loading screen and I have to reload the page a lose a life. Really annoying.

this might sound idotic and make the ships to 'OP' but, this is what i was thinking, could it be possible that you could make ships have up to 4 mods, but its super rare, and it could make it easier to defeat bosses

uhh laser fg? For regular laser turret it's 50% (rof rof + heatsink). Not sure if it's possible to fg a falcon laser, but it is theoretically possible at 120% rof. (6.99)(0.8^3)(0.85^4)=1.87

Very odd- freeze does 40% damage vs shields, lower than stated value. Fusion does 50% damage vs shields as stated. I tested this by freezing a base shield-equipped station, thus halting shield regen while fusion and freeze blasters wore the shield down. I timed how long it took for shields to die by counting energy.

Turtling green? It's entirely possible... Just make a lot of repair turrets to tank the laser/ rapiers. You will need either rof repair, or hyper repair. Also try hyper repair if regular repair turret doesn't work. Also get an insurance blaster/micromissile/microlaser to tank spartan hits, lasers to kill rapiers, some phalanx vs legion cannons, and finally vl to kill legions.

@eLeB The whole point of a demo level is to make sure that the new game consistently runs across a variety of different platforms. The part of a game that is by far the most likely to break is the graphics, so most demos will have very limited gameplay, because they are mostly to make sure all of the graphic effects work as intended. Its not like a trailer for a movie, its more like an outline for a paper if that makes any sense.

As a fan of OE, I don't think players need a better graphic. Of course the graphic improvement would be nice. But It is a flash game on the internet. All I expect for this game is a better/more game system and a good balance. Frankly, the test level was a bit disappointing.

well. since clouds are a little bit underpowered and so on and after thinking and talking about it heres an introduction to them. this white thing floating around in space is known as a cloud. it is made up of highly compact nanobots which are heavily shielded so they don't implode in outer space. cause theres like no proper heat in outer space clouds shoot small parts of themselves which are still nanobos at the enemy. then they imbed themselves in and then turn off their shields freezing themselves with the enemy. they are nearly completely blocked out by shields and phalynx and their freeze technology is somewhat useful. they are always shielded unless being used as a bullet. their laser research is unknown and is not used by any human ( player in game ) yet.

The "boss" stages in this game are boss stages for a reason. There hard, but "cheap" strats usually work. The ol' win by spamming caps doesn't work cuz its a "boss". If you don't see where I'm going with this then I can't help you.

Maybe some of you have misunderstand what I said.It is a suggestion to the developer but not a completely complain.The boss of stage 9 and 10 can build capital ships in a short period of time,when you can't even build a medium ship.So I think the artillery should be a defensive weapon just like in the OE2(the artillery in the OE2 can target the ships)

@Cooked try reloading the page, and restarting your computer. If these don't work also try opening another Kongregate game in another tab. Hopefully your chat on the oe3 tab will disconnect, and then you get an ALERT saying that only one kong connection is allowed per user. Click on a blue box on the alert that says "Reconnect me", this might work.

@1021333190 capitals are not really that hard to kill. In PvP they are harder because of mods, but vl and hades are still very good. Personally, in camp fg lasers + phax are very good ways of stopping hh, mastodon, legions (requires repair), and infest stage 4 caps. For orange/red a simple biolab + freezing the cap should kill it. Cloud is by far the easiest to beat up because you don't need caps :). Cobra completely destroys cloud capitals.

@1021333190 the simple answer is that you don't have the right mods. Range range void lance is very effective vs capitals, as are range range hades. If you do not have these items, nor ever faced these items in pvp, please refrain from saying hades/ void lance are ineffective, because they can be very good with good mods. Using mjolnir and aritllery reveals an even larger lack of knowledge on your part. As Majortallon points out, any phalanx or gladiators quickly shut it down at "a lot of damage" is simply nullified.

there is plenty of ways to get rid of capitol ships. you just have to experiment. spores are a basic one. just keep capitols busy and attempt to carry just that one spore up... phalynx can repel a lot of attacks however laser weaponry can tear it to shreds. black hole tech is quite fficent however it takes some time to charge and cpitols that deply fighters can be tricky for them to take out. mjolnirs as structures can also have multiple upgrades including mini reactors. to help recover just a tad of energy and won't drift off unlike the artillery halo which it will do if frozen. Spartans can pummel their hp. they also need time to charge

Ok,I get it.But one more question.The defensive turrents can't defend against capital ships(except void lance,but it is expensive and not efficient).But the offensive turrents like artillery and mjolnir can deal a lot of damage(the mjolnir is too expensive, compared with the artillery-halo with four mjolnirs),if them can target the ships(for example,the artillery can target medium ships,capital ships,structure,and the mjolnir can target capital ships and structure),they can be the best choice to defend the base against capital ships,or there is no way except capital ships themselves can stop the attack.(Hardes are not efficient as well according to my experiment)
