first off, Madagascar is downright impossible to infect. Second of all, When a country is closed it can never be infected, meaning when 1 country closes you immediately lose.

Just got the Impossile Badge following the description of DarkMythos. Thanks! I had to try very often though. I guess best starting point is Cuba. In Greenland you begin spreading very fast, but there seem to be few direct flight contacts to Brazil, which you have to infiltrate quick to reach Peru and Argentina in time (both having no Airports). You reach South America better from Cuba. And you really can't rely on ship contacts. That's why it's so hard to spread to Madagascar. Starting from Madagascar isn't good anyway because it takes so long to spread to another country. And this first infiltrated other region is your second starting point, so the one ship you've waited for so long leaving madagascar also has to hit a good starting country like Greenland, Cuba or New Zealand and that's very improbably.

Badge is impossible. I've even started in Madagascar, and it is absolutely impossible to win in hard mode, period. The second its spotted, EVERYTHING shuts down. I'd rate this higher if it weren't for the ACTUALLY impossible badge, but just the instant 'snap, everyone is closed' thing is bull.

(Repost) A sum up: 1. When 60-70 mil infected, reactions from nations start to happen. 2. Hardest places to infect, besides Madagascar, is Greenland, NewZeland, Cuba, Indonesia, Japan (no land borders) and even Peru (no airport, or seaport). 3. Spreading to other countries starts when some percentage of the people are infected, so leaving that country, transfers the virus. Best strategy (85-95 day ending) is: Good place to start one of the above i mentioned, with best Greenland (55000 pop). No other symptoms besides sneezing at beggining. You sell sneezing when 4 counties has infected. A Virus with only level 1 resistance cold, heat, moisture. NOT drug. NO transmission ways either, cause they trigger reactions faster. Let the days past, and with luck too, you may infect all countries before reach 100-200 mil infected wordwide. When you infect all countries, get Drug to level 3 or 4, and only up to tier3 symptoms. Take as many as you can except Sweating, Nausea, Dementia and Depression

The comment that details how to achieve the impossible badge does not list Australia as one of the starting countries. I started there and Madagascar got almost immediately infected and ended up netting me the achievement in about 80 days

Started at madagascar many times with varying results. The one time I got closest to winning under 100 days was when madagascar exported the disease in as little as 18 days. But then CUBA walled itself off. The one time I manage to exterminate the entire world took about 110 days. Maybe if Madagascar had not taken 58 days before sending a single virus-loaded ship out. Ironically, this playthrough saw HORDES of ship going into Madagascar.

Well, that was a new one...I got everything infected, the last being Madagascar, so I immediately hit all 4 Drug Resistance and bought up the symptoms including Kidney Failure, making it deadly. I instantly killed the one person in Madagascar before they infected anyone else

Government does not hand out minimum lower wages and bill suspensions, but it handles... water? The airbornness virus in the game is insignificant, as if WHO's technical definition of airborne transmission was truly communicative of the real danger. Governments dont handle plastic bootle helmets for eye/osmotic skin protection. Governments dont quicken people to get fit and healthy on their media channels by skipping in place in a 1x1 meter area in their homes. When they shut down airports, it affects even the 1200 united kingdom private flights to the underground hideout. How to win the game?

There is no commotion for restarting exploitation of poor laborers as soon as possible regardless of complete collapse of Leviathan government systems. There are no paid chills infiltrated into all sectors of public media to help lower your virus visibility, but you can get rats instead. You cant get birds eating infected corpses to keep spreading the disease, but you can get insects. Too many useless natural disasters, but not simple, frequent and unlucky breezes. Drug resistance level 4 does not prevent a vaccine from being developed. They close even their Hospitals, forever, for all intents and purposes so that your virus does not spread, neither anyone get any medical help in a Hospital in the mean time.

In this game... Governments dont care about the economy, they care about life of every single little one human being no matter who they are. How can the player playing as death can win? Their rulers dont say "So, what?" or "Inject disinfectant" or "Its just a flu" or "accept the fact that 70% will be infected". When a government informs the others, the others listen and shutdown airports/borders/shipyards as if obeying the LORD, disregarding any historical, racial, ideological, economic or religious differences, or any opportunistic offensive war moves. They dont start bickering about where it started while being distracted by their devious agendas. When they shut down something, its forever and never reopen or loosen their quarentines/lockdowns, not even for 2 hours per day per people per week.

Playing this game after the COVID19 makes me realize how most country leaders are way less worried than in the game. Even Madagascar was infected!

Hard - started in Madagascar. Impossible - started in New Zealand. Still need to get lucky with spread to nations without borders prior to shutdowns. One game Indonesia managed to avoid infection.

I gave this game one last go and killed everyone except in Madagascar and Greenland who had their ports open and 2 ships sailing around but not making port... I presume this is some kind of bug which is what makes the impossible badge impossible

Started in New Zealand. Killed everyone there and proceeded to infect the entire world (except Madagascar of course). Meanwhile in lifeless New Zealand they finally decide to shut down the borders to prevent possible infection. I'm sorry, New Zealand, but it's too little, too late.

Created Covid-19: Symptoms: Fever, Fatigue, Coughing, Pulmonary Edema Resistance: Moisture I, Cold I Starting Place: China Managed to infect 2/3 of the population(Including Japan, US, Australia) and immunity to vaccines, yet 0 deaths. Think the game needs an update on lethality.

Have played 2 dozen times and CAN NOT INFECT Madagascar!! [shakes fist in air]. The burning passion with which I hate Madagascar now can not be measured. They must be destroyed!!
