Hard mode should be called impossible mode, some of the parts are impossible to do with the basic uprgades. That's the main problem of thise game; I don't mind some fancy stuff like the avatars being so incredibly expensive but the basic upgrades required to play the game definitely shouldn't be.

I was in survival hard and there was the part where you have to get to the hole in the wall. it was blocked by a cage

i hope that dedalord makes that u can sell avatars u buy because my sister bought 6 expensive avatars and i lost all my money because of her

actually I don't really mind about the upgrades cost...i got tired of grinding so I cheated and now I have all the upgrades and around 4 million skullies...the game is really boring now :(

Anyone else having problem with endless difficulties not unlocking when they should? I have a 1386m record on the caves on hard, but nightmare still hasn't unlocked.

A mute button would be awesome. I often play games and listen to music or talk to people on skype or whatever, but the lack of a mute button limits this. Other than that, I really like this game. It's addictive and lots of fun.

Great game. I think it's one of the best of it's genre that I've played. I don't gat why everyody hates it so much. However, You should make the things cheaper. I gave it a 4/5

I hate the upgrades system , rly , so expensive that's why I did this :
-download click bot
-open screen keyboard (windows program )
-go to easy survival
-let the bot click the spacebar the whole night
u can earn like 2200 coins +- 1 night :)
+ so everyone can see it >_<

Other than the somewhat overpriced in-game store, and bad collision detection in some places, I've enjoyed Running Fred. It's a neat little game that I could see having on an Ipad or Ipod and playing whenever I have some free time but am away from other means of entertainment. These prices are completely understandable for a mobile game, but for a pc flash game? No. The developers should have at least lowered the prices for the pc version; this would fix the game's main problem. I'd give Running Fred a 3.5/5 in its current state.

Guys if you want to see grimmy then,Just keep hitting a wall(Pillars,Etc)Then wait until he comes and slice you.Trust me this work!.It happens to me
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Could people please stop complaining about the prices? I already explained this, but as Kongregate won't allow me to post the contents of my previous post, I'll just say it like this. This game is not intended for websites, but is intended as an Ipod game where you just play a bit every day when you have to wait for something. You are not supposed to "complete" the game, because it can't be completed. You can only improve your score. Upgrades and skins are added as incentives to keep playing, not because the developer wants you to pay to get all the content. Just be happy that everything can be gotten for free and stop complaining.

Two things: first everything becomes FAR too expensive. I bought a few early upgrades, but then it gave up when I realized how long it would take to earn enough skullies to buy a new upgrade. It didn't seem worth it, which is a shame.
Second, I almost never saw the Reaper. Once or twice I was slowed by running into thing, but he caught up to me once in the whole game. If the whole point is that you're running from him, you should really have more of a sense of his presence. A meter to show how close he is? A hint even? A brief animation of him chasing you? Something!

To Dev's: If it weren't for your greed the rating on this game would be far higher. Badges could also have been implemented, but sadly you chose the route of the micro-payment. You traded fun and the players enjoyment for a nickel and diming waste of time. You can still salvage this game, just maybe if you follow advice from your players. Here's my suggestions: MORE SKILL SHOULD MEAN MORE TOKENS: Scale the token reward on survival so that the farther you get you are rewarded many more tokens. Challenges and accolades should be huge token bonuses, these collectable cards don't cut it. TO ENSURE THAT THE DEVELOPERS READ THIS: There is a glitch that allows you to get NIGHTMARE level tokens while playing EASY mode. Go to endless caves and begin on nightmare, then when you die change to easy mode. If they fix the glitch without reworking token rewards, then we'd all be better off taking our patronage to a developer who actually cares about their players.

Great game, but it has some frustrating things, like the too expensive upgrades, and players being forced to buy the next level. All this put aside, is a fun game! I think it would be nice to add some special abilities to each costume.

I'm making a call that this game is a combination of Mario, Sonic and those "impossible games." Very well done. I'm actually enjoying pain for once.

People don't seem to realize the model that this game follows. Guys, this does not seem to be intended as a game to be put on websites. Its a multiplatform (iPhone etc) time-waster which was also released for players on PC. The idea is that you play it when waiting for a train, when you're bored etc. Which explains the emphasis on the survival mode. So, again, this is not supposed to be a game which you can complete in two hours, but instead is a "time-waster" where skins and upgrades are added as an incentive to keep playing. Just be grateful that everything can actually be unlocked with normal gameplay.

Achievements "Close Call 2" and "Close Call 3" will not save. And sometimes the money will not save that good, either.
And I'm waiting for the next worlds :(

As it has been said many times. Upgrades are too expensive, however I realize the reason is the developer wants money. That is why there is the cash option to get skullies. So don't bother complaining because the upgrades are intentionally inflated so that you will get frustrated and hopefully hand over some money. Very unclassy tactic but whatever.

There are a few ways to improve the money system if you don't want to lower prices: Make the standard currency silver instead of gold, or let silvers carry over so those four silvers don't go to waste. Also, throw in collectible coins (or simply pay more) in survival, as it is very time consuming to get far enough to make a lot of money, especially considering how difficult some of the traps can be and how grimmy can catch up even on near-perfect runs. Finally, award coins for medals and challenges.

Not sure I got the real meaning of "Panic Power"... Grimmy shythe miss once and on next cut you reach underworld? I can't see difference between normal run and Panic Powered one. :S

I know everybody has said this but, the game is truly a gem and should be recognized as a truly good game. The upgrades are a pricey, but the rest of the game is awesome. I love the humor in it and the blood and gore. I feel if the upgrades were cheaper, the ratings would go thru the roof. Final rating 4.5/5 UPGRADES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE!!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good idea, but the upgrades cost too much for their utility, and to unlock the next level set cost far too much. The cost of everything spoils the game and makes it look like a money grab.

A GREAT GAME
i know alot of you dislike the fact that the upgrades cost alot but the deloper made a great game and deserves some money and i dont know aout you but when i have been saving up for something for ages i get a great secne of achievment
