For people in dire need of extra gold: start the game from the menu in Nightmare survival. Die. Change difficulty to Easy. You can now play Easy survival with the gold gain of Nightmare. Enjoy 60+ gold per run.

A rather different version of the Balt genre, which I like, but it can be improved for the better, as many people have said before with the upgrade system.

@whade THANK YOU for telling me that glitch. Now I dont have to grind in Nightmare, and now I get 5,000+ meters so that equals to about 125 coins. I'm in top ten leaderboard too for the Enless Manor-Easy.

It looks like my high score for Grisly Manor keeps getting taken down for whatever reason (it's somewhere around 437), so I'll tell my secret. My trick for getting the top score is this: after hitting a speed boost & before it wears off completely, I would do stuff like hang onto the wall and constantly jump & flap my arms to maintain some of that speed boost (staying on your feet returns you to normal speed faster, so stay off the ground). Even jumping when walking down a slope can give a slight speed boost (you can see your distance speed up in survival when doing this). If you can master this technique on Grisly Manor, then you can trim around 40-60 seconds off your score.

Protip CHEAT:
1. Unlock Normal, Hard or Nightmare difficulty in Survival. (You just need to run for long enough.)
2. Go back to the main menu. Select Survival and the highest difficulty you have (like Nightmare).
3. The first time you die, select Change Difficulty and set it to Easy.
4. Wow, I'm getting a lot more skullies now!
The difficulty settings are broken, and the 3rd step does not actually change the rate at which you get Skullies. If you have Nightmare mode unlocked you can get skullies on Easy at a rate of 20 per every 1,000 meters!

I was just checking up on the collision detection and so I walked passed one of those spike things, not even touching it and then BAM! got massive spike through my knee and lower jaw.

I agree about the collision detection. When i walk the Grisly Manor i am one tile next to the spikes that come up and still i die by that. Also the buzzsaw. The saw it fully left and i walk over it at the right and i die again.
And i just had that i tripped over a log and fell onto the ground and died because the spikes were near...
I really like the game but this just freaks me out. I can't even make the 2000 meter in survival due to this.
And maybe make the unlcoks less expensive. I unlocked the double jump, wall run, wall bounce and life slot to even make it through the Grinsly Manor and now i need 2500 skullies to unlock an new one. This will take me hours to unlock.
And a question. Do the new characters have any use or are they just for fun?

At first I was skeptical at reports of the reaper catching you up regardless of how well you run on survival. That is until I made a perfect run, hitting every speed boost, and running in as straight a line as possible without hitting anything. He still caught me. It's not so much "survival" mode as it is "You're going to die anyway so quit now" mode.

Entertaining at first, but people would be a lot more likely to hand you money if your games controls and hit detection were worth anything. Pretty cool that you're confident enough to think that a game with such terrible mechanics would make people pay for upgrades. I can't believe that this sort of thing is what gaming has come to. I'm surprised I don't see a huge EA logo somewhere on the title screen.

The skull tips claim "Unlock Nightmare difficulty - it pays out the most." But this is simply not true. All difficulties pay you at the same rate. Even though it would make a lot of sense for a higher difficulty to allow you to earn faster (because the traps are more frequent). Shouldn't this be fixed?

I am starting to get traumatized by Fred inevitably dying at the end of every level. What sort of nasty evil god would put all those wheels and spikes in his way? What sort of person would keep pressing Replay, knowing that it will happen? And there is no way around it, despite my best efforts, there will come a point time and time again where he lies there, broken in half...If I just paid a little more attention, I could have seen that wall of spikes coming...Yes...It was my fault.

I don't if they just did an update tot he game or not but half the time when I jump know I trip in mid air with nothing there. Have decided not to keep giving this game the benefit of the doubt it just has too many bug, balance, and GREED issues to make it worth my time. down voting to 1/5
