Under rating threshold (show) pass chance=pass chance? so if it reaches zero then it fails, right?

+ - !

(-2)

Developer response from delosford

Pass chance never reaches 0, and no. Binary bills end at the end time, and have a chance of passing indicated by the pass chance.

henry700

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) 1% or more. It's just a chance modifier, jeez.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

theoretically one could pass at a value between 0 and 1%, to be fair.

SaladinSpartan

Mar. 09, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) What percentage of a pass chance does a binary need to pass. i though you needed more than 50% or more than 80%. can i please have an explanation of binaries being passed?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

pass chance = pass chance

Rhysdog

Mar. 08, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) does increasing/decreasing defense funding actually affect defense?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

It will do so very soon.

Rhysdog

Mar. 08, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) ossu abolished the maximum wage and now he's trying to bring it back, there should be an achievement for that

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

He didn't exactly abolish it. If you see someone on the wrong side of a binary on the list, it means the court struck down the bill. I may indicate this differently in the future.

Rhysdog

Mar. 08, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) if someone releases an auto erotic asphyxation scandal to the press what does it say in the daily clout?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

"Autoerotic Asphyxiator" if I recall.

Noly

Mar. 08, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I think the thorough one covers up slander as well, but not blackmail, and the quick one covers up Benzodiaprenes.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

It's based on how damaging the scandal is, not per-scandal.

Rhysdog

Mar. 08, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) would i be correct in saying that a quick scandal coverup covers up anything in the basic store, a thorough one covers up anything in the black market and the 50k one covers up anything in skullduggery?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

not quite, no. Quick coverup isn't that crappy.

Daktoria

Mar. 07, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) CT2 (Green) Needs Campaign Contributions that make sense. Right now, I can only do ones that take 300, 500, 2500, or 3000 clout. There's nothing in between.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

Campaign contributions are random and shared between all players in the game. They also change frequently (most of the time).

2years_too_young

Mar. 07, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Another addition to the bill filter should be "Bills I have acted on". I think it would be pretty useful.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

This was originally included and removed for performance reasons relating to an apparent bug/shortcoming in SQL. Fixing it is on my to-do list, but it'll probably take a while as it's going to be something I have to hack around in a crappy way.

SaladinSpartan

Mar. 06, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Is it possible for you to refund my fillbuster? i accidently bought it without even thinking about it and i only used fillbuster once but stopped immediately.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

got back to you in game already

Mar. 06, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Delosford - there are about 4-5 of us who all play this now. We work together and are all working on the same network or same computers but on different shifts. We all do have our own accounts on here as well.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

Yeah, check your messages. I already unlocked your account.

Rhysdog

Mar. 05, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) i think it would be funny to be able to get campaign contributions to introduce other parties win bills "introducing fund everything has cost you ALL your constituent support"

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

unfortunately, such a thing would be much more likely to just uselessly take up a slot for a while, which is why binaries and win conditions don't show up there.

neah84

Mar. 05, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) So I just started and somehow my clout is at -10,000...how is that possible?

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

Your account got picked up for multiboxing because you're playing from the same IP as another user. Did one of your friends just show you the game in person from their computer or something?

warhero2019303

Mar. 05, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) it's mission failed. not fission mailed. amidoinitrite? also, if you can't use assassinations and stuff to grief then what is griefing?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

I dunno. There's strong protections against griefing with just about anything in-game, which is why I say "should you manage to find a way" in the help.

flaris

Mar. 04, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Can you add killing foreign leaders to mess up the world. I would love to send ninjas into North Korea. And maybe annexing Mexico.

+ - !

(4)

Developer response from delosford

Maybe. I think perhaps this will only be enabled if you repeal a certain binary bill I haven't yet added.

warhero2019303

Mar. 04, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Hey Q. A question about griefing. What counts as griefing? like repeatedly tossing out one player's bills? or like assassinating them a lot? also protip: it's spelled Laissez-faire

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

"Please note: use of intended PvP game functions does not qualify as griefing. Those have automatic protections in place against that sort of thing."

balony67

Mar. 04, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) So since the game shows other countries defence shouldn't their be binary bills to "Consider attacking them" (A Even better way to waste our money!) Like we spend our own defence to attack them. (But only people with bad relations to us) this new feature would mess up the game faster for us!

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

War is going to be part of foreign relations when I finish it.

patchesohollahan

Mar. 04, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I feel like that with all the drug cartels columbia has, it has least more than 1/5 the defense of central africa. Also, Japan is much stronger than listed and Israel is much less due to the fact that they are war torn and Japan is not and has equivalent weaponry

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

...Japan isn't allowed to have a military, just so you know. They've been a protectorate of the US since the end of WWII. Israel has an incredibly strong military that is directly supplied by the US. Not only do they have the latest technology, but they mandate service in the armed forces for all their citizens. Israel is extremely well-defended, which is the only reason it continues to exist. Central Africa's rating, however, is just a bit of a joke.

Diolki80

Mar. 04, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I'm not sure if this is a bug, but I just had a bill I introduced from Campaign Contributions pass, but I didn't get the additional money. I introduced it yesterday, and it only just passed today.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

You get the money for passing contributions at end of day when the bill goes into effect. This is stated in a couple places in-game.

Daktoria

Mar. 04, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) It would be sweet if there was a "massage" option to get rid of stress without becoming addicted.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

This is a common request, but any non-scandalous option for stress reduction or energy gain would make cash way too powerful and destroy game balance.

henry700

Mar. 03, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I found a bug, yeeey. If you break associations with someone in your crony list they will remain your crony until you demote them. I also suspect we are able to add cronies without adding association due to this fact. LD3H will probably test it soon out of curiosity with his l33t h4x sk33lz

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

The system will stop you from doing that. Break association is just new and I forgot to make it take people out of cronies. Didn't really figure anyone would be breaking with their cronies.

henry700

Mar. 03, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Unfortunately there are no surveys available for my age group combined with country. I'm not even trying to input fake info again as last time i did this on other systems they somehow knew, and if i had inputted my real e-mail instead of my junk one i would have like 5 junk mail a day.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Hm... they're probably going off your IP or something like that. It can be used to get a rough idea of someone's physical location (or the physical location of their proxy server).

henry700

Mar. 03, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I got some free kreds from watching a promotional video on kong, now i think im going to try and legitly do a survey to get 5 more to buy a custom T2 item or dye. Just a question though, do dyes carry on to the next life or are they lost?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Dyes carry through automatically without needing to be stored because they don't actually affect gameplay. Once you buy one, you have it forever. Custom items need to be stored/tagged to deposit boxes.

miiia01

Mar. 03, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) when the deep throat function was introduced i didn't pay much attention to it mostly because i didn't receive any.now i've got one saying i should investigate a player whose name doesn't actually exist soooo...what exactly is the deep throat?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

That's not a player name, but it does identify a player somehow. All of Deep Throat's messages are somewhat cryptic. Ask around and you can probably get somebody to tell you what that kind of message means exactly.

lemonaid4

Mar. 02, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Where is the Liberal Crime Squad? Aren't they supposed to bash my conservative head right now?

+ - !

(6)

Developer response from delosford

Funny story: I didn't even know LCS existed until a Kongregate user mentioned it in the comments a few months back.

SaberKitteh

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Is poison pill temporary or does it stay on a bill forever?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

Poison Pill persists unless removed by a conference committee. Though, I will note that how poison pill works is likely to change quite a bit in the not too distant near future.

Rhysdog

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) how about another type of chat, where you can change who sees what you post.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

I have plans to add a global option to hide all your posts from other users that you specify. People have requested this to reduce the "spies" in the team/party posts.

henry700

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Let's say someone talks in chat but didn't act in any bills and didn't make any bills. BOOM, How to click them? Also when you know the name of the person and can't seem to find it in the bills section because that person doesnt have bills of their own.

+ - !

(-1)

Developer response from delosford

Why would you care about a player that does nothing, though? Aside from that, I may add links to people's names in the posts. Problem is that it breaks from the trend of linking uncolored names. So I'll have to think of some way around that.

Daktoria

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) How fast does stress recover?

+ - !

(3)

Developer response from delosford

25% per day, less 1% per active bill that you have in Congress.

rombom

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Wait, so when you add the option to remove associates would that also remove you from the the associates of the person you removed?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Unlike kongregate friends, in-game associate requests must be approved before they activate.

Zedzero2

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) It doesn't seem like there is a good way to view profiles/find people outside of the Top 20 list...unless I'm missing something?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

You can click people's names in most places you see them in white and get to the look screen. It's missing in a couple places that will eventually be added.

valkros

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Great game . I could say I am addicted to it !! But I have a problem with the sticky button it does not appear next to the post button and generaly a problem with the buttons . I hope you fix it man ! And continue the good job !

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Thanks for the feedback and support! Some browsers have some display issues with buttons when they're tightly-packed alongside other controls. I've tried to get this worked out as best I can, but some people are still having issues. If you could send me your browser/OS version as well as a screenshot of exactly what you're seeing it'll help me figure out what's going on.

henry700

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Permadeath in games where you have to progress boring quests is unnacceptable, but in this game everything is free, and permadeath makes you take more care of your character. If there was no permadeath this game wouldn't be much cool at all.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

Good to know!

Jabare

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) can we introduce, get a massage or something as a non scandalous way to relieve stress?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

A non-scandalous way to regen stress/energy would make cash the most powerful asset in the game by far. That's not a situation I want to create.

henry700

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I feel so clean right now.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

I was worried that the permadeath thing might drive people away once it happened, but that doesn't actually seem to happen much at all.

chaos_87

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) the 'relic holders' list does not have a scroll bar on internet explorer, any chance you can fix that

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Send me a screenshot with your OS/browser version.

rombom

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) Hey, would it be possible to get my associates and cronies cleared?

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

I'll add a way to remove associates. Been meaning to do that for a while.

Noly

Mar. 01, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) your scandal coverup was not strong enough to erase the remaining scandals. Use a stronger(and more expensive) coverup. The first one only removes benzodiaprenes, cigars and liquor scandals.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

It's actually the opposite. He chose a more complicated coverup that skips over weak scandals.

JoeBl

Feb. 28, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) 02/26/13 05:16 -- Your scandal coverup has finished. It erased 0 scandals! But it said 100% success chance?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from delosford

It was successful. You simply had no scandals which that coverup affected. Intricate scandal coverup ignores minor scandals. I'll probably be changing it so that it will roll over to minor scandals if you're out of worse ones as you're the third person that's done this recently.

evilgenius97

Feb. 28, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) With the passing out page, where it says "the sight of a particularly large spider" it would be so funny if you actually put in random spiders!

+ - !

(5)

Developer response from delosford

There have been various suggestions to add spiders to the game based on that... but they all seem like they'd just end up pissing people off more than anything.

Rhysdog

Feb. 28, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) if i dont choose the athiest or the christian perk what religion am i?

lip-service christian, like most IRL congresspersons in the US.

Daktoria

Feb. 27, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) To be clear I was saying that yes, bills have similarities and differences with other parties. If Party X passes bills that are similar to Party Y, they should get teamed up. If Party Z passes more bills that are similar to Party Y, they should instead. I guess you could have relations ratings for bills, and those relations would adjust over time. Likewise, relations would be reduced between parties if a bill was defeated. For example, if libertarians defeated a bill presented by greens that's similar to socialists, libertarian relations would go down with greens, but up with socialists.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

The bills that each party has access to are set. The teams are grouped by which parties share more bills. A system like you describe would be severely unlikely to result in a situation any different than the current one.

henry700

Feb. 27, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) It sure tends to :)

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

?

Daktoria

Feb. 27, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) It would be nice if parties negotiated their teams. Green politics aren't necessarily left-wing. They can also oppose unregulated consumerism and support folk community. Likewise, libertarian politics can be socialist in supporting small government rather than overarching regulations.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

You can always be cronies/associates with members of any party and contact them directly. I lumped the teams together just based on who has more shared bills. Realistically you should probably use private communications of some sort for anything important, as anything posted on either team chat tends to get around to everyone.

Rhysdog

Feb. 26, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) @ delos, so assasinating VIP's pretty much has no benefit unless you like seeing red colours in place of the assasinated persons name.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from delosford

Ummm... no? The VIPs affect bills in various ways. The alignment of the supreme court and attorney general affects legal challenges. The alignment of the president affects what gets vetoed. The alignment of the secretaries of state/defense will affect foreign relations. By assassinating VIPs, you change the outcome of all these events.

Dudeaga

Feb. 26, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) New idea: when you reach CT4, you get a special item called "(Character Name)'s Walther PPK. It could give HK45 stats with an extra +1 intelligence. You know, because you /are/ Q.

+ - !

(-1)

Developer response from delosford

Wrong Q. Think TNG.

henry700

Feb. 26, 2013

Under rating threshold (show) I want to kill bakemono just to see the items he paid Kreds for gone forever... Does that make me evil? I hope so.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from delosford

You can store/tag custom items to deposit boxes.
