Permadeath in games where you have to progress boring quests is unnacceptable, but in this game everything is free, and permadeath makes you take more care of your character. If there was no permadeath this game wouldn't be much cool at all.

your scandal coverup was not strong enough to erase the remaining scandals. Use a stronger(and more expensive) coverup. The first one only removes benzodiaprenes, cigars and liquor scandals.
It was successful. You simply had no scandals which that coverup affected. Intricate scandal coverup ignores minor scandals. I'll probably be changing it so that it will roll over to minor scandals if you're out of worse ones as you're the third person that's done this recently.

With the passing out page, where it says "the sight of a particularly large spider" it would be so funny if you actually put in random spiders!
There have been various suggestions to add spiders to the game based on that... but they all seem like they'd just end up pissing people off more than anything.

To be clear I was saying that yes, bills have similarities and differences with other parties. If Party X passes bills that are similar to Party Y, they should get teamed up. If Party Z passes more bills that are similar to Party Y, they should instead.
I guess you could have relations ratings for bills, and those relations would adjust over time. Likewise, relations would be reduced between parties if a bill was defeated. For example, if libertarians defeated a bill presented by greens that's similar to socialists, libertarian relations would go down with greens, but up with socialists.
The bills that each party has access to are set. The teams are grouped by which parties share more bills. A system like you describe would be severely unlikely to result in a situation any different than the current one.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be nice if parties negotiated their teams. Green politics aren't necessarily left-wing. They can also oppose unregulated consumerism and support folk community. Likewise, libertarian politics can be socialist in supporting small government rather than overarching regulations.
You can always be cronies/associates with members of any party and contact them directly. I lumped the teams together just based on who has more shared bills. Realistically you should probably use private communications of some sort for anything important, as anything posted on either team chat tends to get around to everyone.

@ delos, so assasinating VIP's pretty much has no benefit unless you like seeing red colours in place of the assasinated persons name.
Ummm... no? The VIPs affect bills in various ways. The alignment of the supreme court and attorney general affects legal challenges. The alignment of the president affects what gets vetoed. The alignment of the secretaries of state/defense will affect foreign relations. By assassinating VIPs, you change the outcome of all these events.

New idea: when you reach CT4, you get a special item called "(Character Name)'s Walther PPK. It could give HK45 stats with an extra +1 intelligence. You know, because you /are/ Q.
Extremely unlikely if you're playing actively. Though, if you've stacked your scandals full of them I guess they could add up. I should probably make it so certain scandals can't drop you below a certain point. I need to retool investigations and scandals a bit for balance, and will be doing so soon.

there should be a limit to being able to get addicted. e.g. you must take a minimum of 6 doses of freebase cocaine or 3 doses of regular cocaine.
Then you're likely just remembering incorrectly. Nothing in-game changes your stats, and even if I were to change an item it wouldn't automatically change the stats of those wearing the item (which is why I tend to not modify them).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Have you decreased some item power? My Speaking Ability and Charisma seem to have both been lowered by 1. (And possibly all my stats? But I am sure my SA and Char are 1 lower.)

Me and henry700 came up with an idea to make a christian party. Here are the rules and stuff.
1.People with aitheist trait cannot join or they will get a penalty.
2.There win bill is either Outlaw all religions(except christianity). so they want to make a 100% christian country.
Bills:
Increase Church Tax Exemption
Increase church funding
Expand church powers
Fund priest recruitment(needs better wording)
Binaries:
1.Outlaw aeitheism
2. 100% tax exemption

There should also be more extrasfor some of the "negative" traits. For instance Atheist could boost Rational Debate strength, or something. I feel my character is so empty while other people are buying colts and using Military Service Experience on bills and i'm here proclaiming economic benefits. It's like my character being Atheist has no effect other than a medium Charisma drop. Even if it's some kind of weird negative/neutral/small positive effect i feel it and some other negative traits need something.

Q, i think some events, mostly assassinations, should have more impact. Like for instance, When the president or a high-tier Congressman is assassinated, a police investigation is launched and there's a chance the assassination is discovered, and that chance increases with time and is run at the nightly reset. The only way to clear it out is to do a Intricate Scandal Coverup. Also we should be able to investigate without a target in some circunstances, even if that means lower chances. For instance: Victim: Geofrey Jenkins Crime: Assassination Target: Empty(It tries to find out who conducted it, and if successful, tries to find evidence to generate a scandal). Else people could just lurk and assassinate people, like i was planning to do. I think this gets kinda unrealistic and overpowered...
I agree that it's a bit easy to get away with highly scandalous stuff at the moment, especially with how coverups work. I've got a few ideas on how to address this, though the police launching an independent investigation is a pretty good idea. I'll probably work that in to what I'm doing.
Frankly I've felt that we should have "freed" North Korea IRL a while ago. The people in that country are being forced to live an insanely backwards and terrible life.

What would be cool, would be that each party has three types of bill: Good, neutral, and evil, depending on the effects it has on the population. Also, if you implement that, every congressperson could have an alignment, depending on the bills it has introduced, like "Pay down national debt, good, karma +3, on completion, karma +5" or something like that
The problem is that what everyone thinks good and evil are is dependent on their political affiliation. That's why there's the party system where certain bills are good for you, and certain ones are bad. This effectively creates a situation like you described without being heavy-handed and biased towards certain policies.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Uhmmm... What would be cool is a refresh button on the bills! When you're focusing on a bill, it's kind of annoying having to go to the "Current Bills" tab and search for your bill
hm? Well, I suppose that's one definition. Not really the one I was going for. Clout effectively means power/influence, usually relating to politics or social status.

Still playing this game and loving it, delos. :D
I have a few suggestions:
1) Allow us to buy at least 1 safe deposit box (bottom of offshore accounts) for in-game money, like $100,000?
2) Make dyes purchasable with in-game money.
3) Considering the amount of scandals released to the press everyday, you'd think the press would investigate random players automatically (don't know how'd it be implemented, but it'd be cool)
4) Make the other countries do something :D
I might do that for one box, though the logistics of doing it kind of suck considering how the microtransactions work. Dyes will never be purchasable with in-game money. I like that they give a neat way for people to display their support of the game in a way that other players can see. Allowing them to be purchased with cash would cheapen that. I've also had the idea to have the press randomly investigate folks... but it seems like a lot of people are having issues staying afloat as-is. Once I get scandals and investigations all balanced to my liking I might implement something like that. Other countries will have an effect on the game when I'm done with foreign relations.

I forgot what poison pill and fillbuster does. Can you please explain? I think fillbuster stops others from favouring a bill or something.
Filibuster stops anyone from playing any abilities on the bill as long as you have enough energy to keep filibustering. Poison pill heavily sets back a bill and puts it into a state where you lose constituent support if you act in its favor (regardless of party affiliation).

why is it that public health is dropping so rapidly? i havnt seen any large amount of bills that would detriment public health recently...
Not sure what you think the typo is. The 1s are intentional. It's a joke relating to stupid people on the internet who post things with too many exclamation points.

thats not what i meant. though i think i never explained properly. i meant that enery regen seems a bit less than 8 minutes.
I'm not sure how this could be. I guess there are minute variations in it due to how computerized clocks work, but it's not going to be majorly noticeable. The discrepancy would be within seconds at most.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I would hide this from you for my own benefit(and other peoples) but the energy regen is a bit strange. first of all it regens in less than 8 minutes. i logged out and logged in again staight away and enrgy was recovered. i even refreshed the page(by refresh i mean clicking on another page so a change is made). and it only took me 1 min to log out and all that stuff.Anyway fix the energy regen.
There's nothing wrong with energy regen. You just happened to do this when you gained energy. It regenerates using a cron job for all players, so nothing you do by logging in or out could affect it.
The way fonts work in HTML is not equivalent to how they work in an image manipulation program. Aside from Impact, obviously, I doubt you'll find exactly equivalent fonts elsewhere, and sometimes the fonts will look different for different users due to variations in fonts in browsers/OSes.

filibuster should probably he harder to do on win/binary bills, otherwise someone may filibuster a win bill which would be very unfair, plus binary bills its also unfair
You're basically asking for me to remove filibuster from the game, because its only real purpose is on binary bills. Win bills work like regular bills. There is also an energy cap that stops it from being particularly unfair (at most, you can only filibuster for about 2.5 hours in a stretch by yourself).
